“We really enjoyed working with Aaron and Justin of Home Guru Inc. on our kitchen renovation and are thrilled with the results! They helped us to make our space more open, modern and functional. They listened to what we wanted and helped us work out the details of how to get there. As with any renovation, especially one where you are opening up and taking down walls, there were some surprises and setbacks, but Aaron and Justin worked diligently to help us attain our goals and try to stay within our budget. The thing we appreciated most about Home Guru was that we felt they were trustworthy and were always trying to do things in our best interest. We were never worried that they were trying to rip us off, cut corners, or give us the run around. They were reachable and easy to communicate with. One of their areas of expertise is in "smart" home automation, which we decided to incorporate into our reno. We adore the programmed lighting that adds to the mood of our space. Our favourite elements would be the in-ceiling speakers that we've added to the kitchen, living room, bedroom and backyard. We can now play or stream music all over house depending on our location and mood. Music is a big part of our lives and has become a part of our children's lives as well. Our new open-concept kitchen has improved the flow of our house and the overall feeling of the space. The kitchen looks beautiful and the cabinets and countertops are of high quality. “We hired Mike from M & D Builders to produce the full set of drawings required to our commercial building extension project in Brampton. He quickly scheduled to come over to our site to discuss the project further, he also schedule for his team to drop by the place for measurements and proceed with project. They were extremely helpful through the entire process and were able to have the drawings completed and submitted in a timely manner. Mike was always available by phone and email responding and helped me through my permit application process till we got it. I want to thank Mike and his team for the job extremely well done. “The experience of renovating our home was daunting at the beginning due to the number of construction firms out there. Once we made the decision to go with Lighthaus Built, everything seemed to become easier. Lighthaus Built is a service based construction firm and we were able to be in constant contact throughout the entire build. Dave Cook & John Maher were always available to address our concerns and make recommendations towards the best course of action to make our renovation dreams become reality. If you are on the fence and not sure which renovation firm to work with, then I would strongly encourage you to go with Lighthaus. The construction crew was very professional and always at the site throughout the build. The job site was well organized, clean and their attention to detail was spot on. John Maher was our main point of contact and did a wonderful job at keeping the project on schedule, on budget and the lines of communication were always open. “We have had several projects completed by DMJ . We re-insulated our attic, replaced several windows, upgraded our kitchen and had a septic holding tank replaced just to name a few. Dave and his crew are honest and trustworthy. DMJ workmanship met all of our expectations and in some cases surpassed them. It is evident that his passion for what he does shines through in his pride of workmanship. The only downside is his availability..... because he is in high demand. Definitely worth waiting for.”
