“Ko’olau Builders recently completed the remodel of our 100 year old home in Manoa and we could not be happier with the outcome. As a Design Build company, Ko’olau Builders helped us from the very beginning in the design permitting phase of the project through construction and completion. Our project consisted of the remodel of our kitchen and two bathrooms, and the addition of a half bath, mudroom and office. Chris and Nick Tang have a great eye for design, they listened carefully to the needs of our family and gave us everything we wanted and more. They managed to give us all the comforts of a modern home while preserving the style and character of our home. Chris and her team did a great job laying out our kitchen and bathrooms and helping us pick fixtures, finishes and paint color that we love. Their staff on site are very polite and did an amazing job keeping our home tidy and clean through construction. They were very patient and accommodated our design changes even during construction. Special shout out to Davin who worked so hard to wrap up all the final details for us and to Abby for managing the project during construction. We highly recommend Ko’olau Builders and would hire them again in a heartbeat.”

“This company was recommended by Tesla/Solar City in order to have my roof prepared for a PV installation. I was more than satisfied with the work done. Before, during and after the installation. The initial walk around of the home had their surveyor point out a few issues with the work that I wanted done, and made sure that costly mistakes were not started. I must say that I've been very happy in my dealings with Skyta at all levels of their company (quotation, office workers, work crew, etc.), and would highly recommend them.”

“We hired Hills Home Remodeling to gut and remodel our kitchen, rebuild an old lanai into a great room, and build a covered front porch, among other smaller jobs at our Kailua home. They recently finished and we are thrilled with the results. I really appreciated that they could help us with design ideas at any part of the process while still respecting our personal tastes. Jason Hills is such a skilled carpenter that he can build anything custom for you to make your house work just right for you. At the same time, he is happy to install pre-built items such as cabinets to suit the customer's needs. The company has relationships with a variety of sub-contractors in Kailua, so it was easy to get every part of the job arranged. The company is also really kid-friendly, very considerate of having children who are living amongst a home remodel, and also thinking about kid-friendly design. I also appreciated that they always cleaned up at the end of the day. I highly recommend this company.”
