“Literally, the hardest part of the project was finding the correct contractor. After several no shows, no return calls/visits, and lack of overall professionalism, we met with Beshoy Yousef, owner of Parthy Construction. He came out for a lengthy site visit, listened to our ideas, took notes and pictures, and provided us with a detailed estimate, which we accepted after a couple of back and forth line item discussions. Beshoy assisted in securing for us an architect and helped with a needed zoning variance. We broke ground in June 2025 on an 18’x20’ additional bedroom. Start to finish was a little over three months. They handled all the permitting and inspections. Our main project manager, Mina, was excellent, as was his sidekick Mark. He kept us posted as to what the current and next activities were, and worked with us on a plethora of decisions which needed to be made every week. He offered numerous ideas along the way which we hadn’t thought of. Michele (the lady that holds everything together in the office) was great at getting the invoices out on time. All subcontractors were timely, professional, reasonably clean (construction is rarely “clean”), and did excellent work. All the work was done while we continued to live in the house. We did re-home the cat and bird for several weeks during the worst of it. The finished product exceeded our expectations and wows our friends. From the outside, the in-line addition’s concrete block walls, windows, roofing, soffits and fascia, paint, all give the look that it’s always been part of the house. There were a number of necessary items outside the contract which we had to purchase out of pocket. While they kept completely within their budget, the non-contract items (specific windows, doors, paint, flooring, trim, etc) ran us an additional 15%-20%. Are we happy with their finished product? Absolutely. Would we use them again? Absolutely. Do we recommend them? Absolutely!”

“This is my honest, unpaid and unprompted review of TEK and their work on our house... 1. Contracting process - they weren't the absolute least expensive, but they completely understood the assignment (i.e.,what we were looking for as described to them), were clear and specific in their quote and provided a fair, competitive, reasonable price for the major expansion and renovation of our house. They set up ongoing calls (and returned calls quickly) and I felt like we were in good hands. (Grade: A) 2. Workmanship - they work with subcontractors, but the people they employ are truly good at their individual disciplines and have worked with TEK for quite awhile. They were professional and polite and seemed genuinely concerned about doing a good job for us. Were there times that things didn't go as planned/expected and might've been frustrating? Absolutely. Did they fix those things once brought to their attention? Again, absolutely. (Grade: A-) 2. Communication/Execution against Plan - this is the area where TEK has some room for improvement. We were still in NJ throughout the renovation of our house, so communication was admittedly a little challenging from both sides from the start. Occasionally, it took a few calls to ensure we were on exactly the same page with respect to how we wanted things to look, placement according to architect plans, etc. There were more than a few times where it was frustrating when we were attempting to get progress photos/updates. That said, I'm pretty sure this whole issue goes away if you're renovating your house and can visit in person occasionally. (Grade: B) 3. Billing - we learned throughout this process that as a customer, you need to keep your own updated, accurate spreadsheet of all work orders, invoices, checks, etc so you can quickly and easily reconcile against TEK's record keeping. If we hadn't done this, it would have been somewhat confusing/frustrating for both parties. Again, some room for improvement (Grade: C+) 4. Administrative Staff - here's an area where TEK absolutely, completely nails it. From Jess in procurement (an absolute ROCK STAR of organization and communication), to John in sales (completely empathetic to the customer, while being urgent to get things done) to Eriberto the owner (who never made us doubt the trust we put in his company from day one), these guys provide the examples that other companies should be following in the home renovation industry.(Grade: A+) While the grades above might not technically collectively seem to add to 5 stars, the complete package - quality, fair pricing and good people - made us extremely happy customers. In the end, our house is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and we will no doubt choose TEK again for any future projects.”
