“We would like to recommend Chris Garbe and the entire team at GCR Services and especially John and Martin. We completed a full kitchen remodel in November, a three-month project. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. By the time we connected with Chris (a referral from our real estate agent), we had rejected one general contractor who submitted an excessively high bid and also balked at installing the cabinets we believed we wanted at the time. That GC wanted us to use his preferred cabinet supplier who couldn’t deliver what we wanted. We had been through several cabinet companies and through each iteration, had narrowed down the plan to exactly what we wanted. Chris told us that our plan was completely doable. But he suggested we might want to speak with a kitchen designer he frequently worked with. We were glad we did as she was able to improve on what we thought was already a perfect plan. Chris was extremely easy to work with. Martin led the demolition effort plus the new electrical, windows, HVAC, rough carpentry and plumbing work the project required. As with any project, demo revealed hidden problems which required modifications to the plan. Every change was communicated to us with a solution that was acceptable to all…even using our “suggested” solution many times. Nothing phased them. Every workday ended with a complete clean-up of the site with extra time spent every Friday to make sure we were left with a clean worksite going into each weekend. Our “perfect” plan had many elements which required custom solutions…a moveable island, a custom hood, use of specific fixtures and custom cabinet configurations which required modifications…many of which were firsts for GCR. Again, nothing was too big of an ask for them. Each element was handled to perfection by John, who led the cabinet installation and finished carpentry work (with Martin’s help). He listened to our desires, made his own suggestions and executed on each one to our satisfaction. John was amazing to work with…and funny too! Their follow up was also exceptional. We had one pesky electrical issue which proved difficult to resolve but they kept at it with multiple visits until we and they were satisfied. We’ve also spoken with Chris regarding two future projects and fully expect to use GCR again. “Excellent work and great communication from Nagar Builders This was our second home improvement project with Nagar: * fill a hole on the outside of the house where we had termites coming in, patch up the stucco * run a secondary drain pipe from the AC drip on roof to the rain drain gutter * install an inside door where there hadn't been any door before They have again shown themselves to do excellent quality work. Avi (the owner) first took the time to consult with us and brainstorm how each one of our problems could be best solved. He showed creative thinking and we appreciated his expert advice on what would and wouldn't work in practice. The work was completed on schedule, and the guys were great. We had to ask them to make multiple adjustments on the door (install door knob, move it to a different location) and they did everything to match and exceed our expectations. We had also asked them to be very careful with our front door since we have 2 cats and they managed that great. Avi and Danni (the direct manager) stayed frequently in touch with us and made sure communication was timely and easy. Overall we couldn't have asked for more and we look forward to using them again in the future!”
