“Apex was wonderful to work with from estimate through design to completion. Our project was remodeling a small guest bathroom (7'8" x 7'3") in a 110 year old house. We wanted a bath with modern amenities but in a style that was period-appropriate to our home. We replaced the shower/tub combo with a walk-in shower. The project was completed as scheduled and within budget. Workers showed up on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. Everyone was friendly, respectful, responsive, and professional. We felt they really listened and understood our vision for the project. Many thanks to the Apex crew, especially JB, Matt, Tony, and Steve.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Huge Improvements. From the first design meetings to the final touches on our kitchen they communicated everything, open and honest at every step. That doesn't even cover the excellent work they did. Our custom cabinets are exactly what we wanted and we were able to be sure every door and drawer was exactly what our family needed. The last thing I'll add is how awesome they were working while my family was home. We worked from home during the entire project, and they were always thinking about what we needed during the day so we never worried about noise, or if work would interfere with our jobs. Truly a fantastic experience.”

“We are DYI people and try to be savvy shoppers during projects to keep budgets on track. However there are times it is wise to hire a professional and Rick Jacobson is that guy. We have hired Rick for many projects (big & small) over the past 18 years. 1. Enlarging basement bedroom and additional storage. 2. Bathroom remodel - Created beautiful tiled shower in basement to replace a small corner prefab one. Easily twice the size and a good 6 inches taller. 3. Replaced all our exterior doors and windows with precision. All windows continue to open and close effortlessly years later. Rick made sure we had all the paperwork for energy efficient tax rebate. 4. Enlarged kitchen doorway and relocated header out of sight in attic space with stunning results. 5. His recommendations for subcontractors have been good as well. Have used same carpet installer for additional projects. No matter what size of project you are doing Rick is always professional, stays in communication, respectful of home interior, clean up and doesn't leave a job until we are satisfied. Rick has welcomed us working alongside him. We have learned so much and truly respect his skill and expertise. During our recent kitchen remodel we needed to hire a drywall crew ASAP after ours was a no show at the last minute. Got 4 estimates in 24 hours. Decided to take the bid that was $850 less than Rick. Huge mistake. When we hired Rick for finish trim it was obvious what a shoddy drywall job it was. Because of his experience Rick was able to make all the trim work look perfect. We are still stuck with a shoddy drywall job. You can always find someone to do it cheaper and you will live with that for years.”
