“I recently used Platinum Builders for a new addition to my home and had a very positive overall experience. My original plan was to manage the project myself. As an engineer with considerable experience building and renovating single-family homes outside California, I planned to have my engineer prepare the drawings, obtain city approval, and subcontract each phase separately. I thought this would give me the most control and be the least expensive approach. However, with my frequent work and personal travel, I quickly realized I did not have the time or patience to manage multiple contractors. That is when I hired Platinum Builders. Devon, the project manager, quickly reviewed my approved plans and discussed the project in detail. He was professional, responsive, honest, and willing to work around my travel schedule. I received three quotes, and two were substantially lower, but I chose Platinum because I had greater confidence in their ability to manage the entire project. The project had already started, with the footings excavated. Devon quickly brought in his specialists, followed by an excellent framing crew. Both crews were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly understood the engineering drawings. I appreciated not having to constantly explain what needed to be done. The drywall, trim, and painting phase had some quality issues, but what impressed me was how Devon handled them. He recognized the gaps and quickly had the issues corrected to my satisfaction. Overall, Platinum Builders provides a valuable turnkey solution for homeowners who want a professional company to manage a complex project. Despite having the experience to manage construction myself, I realized the value of having the right team coordinate everything. Based on my experience, I would choose Platinum Builders again for a future project.”
