“I own a Sears Kit Home, built by my grandfather in the 1920’s. It needed repairs, updates and a general spiffing up. I wanted to keep the home true to its original form as much as possible. Also, I wanted someone who appreciates and respects older construction and materials to do the work. After interviewing several remodeling/renovation companies, some who insisted on tearing out walls, John McCloskey walked in and smiled at the craftsmanship and understood my house. He saw the foibles found in old homes, like the sloped flooring. And came up with a quick and easy fix. Jessica did a fantastic job walking me through the process, selecting fixtures, coordinating contractors, and keeping me updated on the project. I live elsewhere and she accommodated my schedule when I came into town to see the progress. The crew were respectful of my home and property and were polite and patient with all my questions. I can honestly say, I was very pleased with the JFrancis team from start to finish. I think my six-year-old granddaughter summed it up perfectly, “This house feels the best of all the houses I know. I am going to live here someday.””

“DiMatteo Construction tackled a challenging bathroom remodel for our 170 year old farmhouse. The shower and the ceiling each needed redone, and we had logistical challenges with venting that Mike creatively solved. He listened to our needs and many preferences and worked with is to make this beautiful, functional and cost-effective. They used an excellent tile artisan and a veteran plasterer and Mike's attention to details to mitigate water problems was exactly what we wanted. He is honest, direct and always returns phone calls. Will use again.”

“We were remodeling the porch at out cabin and used a local contractor for the decking and stone columns. The project was taking longer than expected, so we ended our relationship early and reached out to Matt to see if he would be interested travelling an hour SW of Pittsburgh to help us. We had used him several years ago to install crown molding throughout our home and were very pleased with the quality of his work and how orderly and clean he kept our home. To our surprise, he was willing to do the job for us. Matt & his crew ran new electric, stained & installed new tongue & groove ceiling and installed several recessed LED lights. In less than one week, our project was complete and it looks fantastic! Matt is very responsive, honest, and does great work. Thanks Matt :-)”
