“I originally hired Vashon Custom Homes (VCH) to stain and paint the exterior of my home. One thing VCH noticed was that the trim around the front windows was not cut into the siding as they should be. While replacing them, VCH also discovered that there was no plywood behind the siding. The potential for massive water damage was huge! This was also the reason those rooms were colder than the rest of the house. Although this meant I was dealing with a far larger job than anticipated, I was so very thankful that VCH had the expertise to catch such an error, and the knowhow to fix it. I was quoted a fair price and VCH began work. I opted to use T1-11 to match the rest of the house, and, as discussed with VCH, was a cheaper alternative to replacing the existing siding. As the job progressed, I decided to redo the front porch. As you can see in the photos, the result changed the whole look of the front of the house, greatly increasing curb appeal. Throughout the job, VCH and staff were professional and their work was done well. Deadlines and budgets were respected. I trust VCH. This, in itself, is huge for me.
