“To Whom It May Concern, I had the utmost pleasure meeting Michael Iafigliola back in the Spring of 2022 after an extensive search to find a contractor who would take on the very special project of renovating my family home that my late Father had first built upon arriving as an immigrant to this part of Canada from Eastern Europe post World War 2. I had originally reached out to five contractors in the Laurentian region here in Quebec and to my surprise, only ever heard back from one and this is where my good fortune commenced with Michael and the Altamax Team. After briefly speaking to Mike over the phone on a Saturday, he agreed to meet me briefly the next day, (his supposed day off) and take a look at the house, property and meet me in person. What was supposed to be a 45 minute meeting turned into a few generous hours of Mike's time to hear my Dad's story and get a real feel for the scope of work that had to be executed. I'm very grateful to say that from that day forward Mike and his dedicated team of young, passionate and incredibly skilled artisans became not only what I now consider personal friends but so much more than that. Each and every one of these men brought a certain skill set and vision not to mention unique character traits to this project every day, five days a week for almost a full year. I had three pillars and motivations with my vision for my home that I was practically born in back in 1971. For me, it was simple, Preservation, Restoration and Environmentally sound and fortified were my wishes for this home. Team Altamax not only delivered the "goods" but so far exceeded my expectations for the project that I sincerely will never be able to express the true gratitude I now feel after officially moving back in this past December 4th, 2023. What started out for us all, especially Team Altamax was a fairly straight forward project but upon getting word that my foundation had succumbed to years of harsh Canadian weather and had to be replaced, the project and obvious stress levels for me personally intensified both financially and physically, however, this is where a true, honest, skilled, professional and above all else, empathetic contractor and team leader shines and Mike Iafigiola is that star contractor, hands down! Team Altamax officially started demolition and work in mid January 2022 and with so much care and positive energy I knew in my gut I had the very best team on my side and not only did the team finish on the exact day my permit expired, ( Dec. 23/23) but with five hours to spare! Mike and his team took so much pride and care in the daily tasks of bringing new life and energy to a home that literally means the world to me.
