“Craig and his team remodeled our combined bathroom / laundry room. We converted our bathroom into and ADA compliant space in case one of us every finds ourselves in a wheelchair. This was a down to the studs remodel that included extensive work from multiple trades; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile, glass, cabinetry, sheetrock. The new bathroom has a tile shower and floor, a bidet, and pocket doors for privacy and sound deadening from the laundry area. The contractors arrived when they said they would. They did their work efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. In a word it turned out beautifully. I have other projects around my house and I expect to reach out to Silver Peak again.”

“J&C Contractors did an extensive renovation of our kitchen, laundry, and powder room. It was a total “to the studs” (& beyond) project, and John and his team were fantastic to work with. This project involved multiple structural changes, as we moved load-bearing walls and pushed out an exterior wall to add square footage to the space, plus HVAC, plumbing, electrical, insulation, siding, windows, tiling, hardwoord flooring, cabinets and custom carpentry, painting, etc. We especially appreciated how John and Marcos would talk through options with us. They always gave us clear choices with an understanding of how they would impact pricing and timelines. We also really appreciated their flexibility when we decided to push out the exterior wall, which was a change to the original scope. John worked hard to get the engineer and city back quickly to approve the permit revision, and also was strategic about what work continued while we waited for that to ensure we weren’t taking on unnecessary risk. The attention to detail is another thing the J&C team does exceptionally well – we had custom cabinets with a really complicated façade to cover a soffit, and the team didn’t think the original plan looked good enough, so they basically built an extra piece from scratch to make the entire thing look seamless. For our window installation, Marcos came up with a brilliant idea for how to frame the window using the same stone slab as our backsplash and it’s truly one of my favorite features. Also, I realize it seems like a given, but based on many other renovations we’ve seen, the fact that everything is perfectly level and centered is huge (even the cabinet drawer faces all line up exactly!). Finally, the team did a fantastic job keeping the area as clean as possible. This was critical as we chose to live in our house during the renovation. They would regularly inspect the plastic walls and make sure things were sealed well, plus they cleaned up after themselves every day and when the project was completed. Really fantastic experience, and we’ll be hiring J&C for any future projects!”

“My wife and I have long desired to host outdoor cookouts throughout the year. However, residing in a rainy state like Washington presents a challenge in finding suitable weather conditions, particularly during the non-summer months. To address this, we opted to extend our patio by constructing a gazebo or pergola. After carefully considering various design layouts and material options, we ultimately selected a traditional solid wood pergola over an aluminum one. We anticipated the construction to be completed promptly, allowing us to enjoy it during the summer or early fall. However, the material delivery took two months due to its out-of-state origin. Regarding the installation process, I underestimated the availability of reputable contractors. It became evident that most pergola installation companies also provide the necessary building materials. After narrowing down our options to two, we chose Contigo Construction. After speaking with Manuel, the company’s owner, we reached an agreement. I informed him of the extended delivery time and provided him with the pergola’s layout plans. The initial idea was for the construction to commence in June, but due to the Homeowners Association’s approval process, material delivery, and other factors, the project was not started until October 25. Initial coordination with Manuel was necessary as he was also occupied with other commitments. The construction officially began on October 25 and was completed on November 2. Manuel and Mario, affectionately known as “Super Mario,” excelled in the pergola installation. My wife and I were astounded by the efficiency of two individuals who successfully assembled the pergola, which weighed approximately 3000 pounds and was constructed from solid Douglas Fir, within four days. While the project encountered some challenges, such as the need to purchase additional hardware and procure equipment that was not readily available, the team’s determination and expertise overcame these obstacles. The final result was nothing short of spectacular, exceeding our expectations. The pergola has brought immense joy to us, especially my wife, who endured the construction process for the longest duration. We extend our sincere gratitude to Manuel and Mario for their exceptional workmanship and dedication. Their efforts have resulted in a beautiful and functional outdoor space that we will cherish for years to come.”
