“Dominic at Blue Ladder Home Improvements was a dream to work with. I hired him in May to do a complete overhaul of my new bachelor condo unit in the Annex. The plan was to completely gut the apartment, replacing floors, painting walls, fixing the popcorn ceiling, completely redoing the bathroom and kitchen, electrical, plumbing etc. Dom did an incredible job on all fronts. I've never worked with a contractor before so I was very nervous about finding someone who could not only bring my vision to life, but also keep things within budget. Dominic was the most helpful and patient through every single step of the process (and it's really hard for me to make decisions!). He even came with me to Home Depot to help choose certain things that I didn't know how to choose, and he went above and beyond picking up items at IKEA or other vendors. All of the work he did is perfect (and I don't use that word lightly). From the tile work in the bathroom and kitchen, to the gorgeous custom made live edge wood counter and custom storage/furniture for the balcony, every single corner of my new apartment is exactly as I wanted it to be. I appreciated Dominic's creativity, while also being able to advise me on what would work or not in the space. When I had specific ideas about what I wanted, that wouldn't be a good fit logistically, he'd suggest alternative options and work with me to find the right compromise. Dominic was focused and finished the job in a timely manner. He didn't take other work while he had my contract so there was no spreading his attention or delays. As budgets were updated, Dom always kept me in the loop with the updated invoices, and always showed me the receipts so there were no surprises. If there was a 6 star rating option I would give it to Blue Ladder Home Improvements! I highly recommend Dominic and his team to anyone looking for the best contractor anyone could ask for.”
