“Dana built our custom home, from working on the design with us and the the architect (W Design - very good) for 3 months through final construction. Dana is a professional and excels at designing interior spaces, ongoing communication, and working to get things right. My deciding factor with choosing her was #1 I felt I could trust her most to shoot me straight (and just trust overall), and 2) her talent and eye for design. She delivered on both of those. She also went out of her way to make things right when things went sideways with a contractor. I would leave five stars, but there were a couple of critical missteps that I think were mostly driven by 1) a lack of field tested contractors (some were, some were not) and 2) rushing at the end to finish for the Parade of Homes. With that said, I believe Dana builds beautiful homes, is trustworthy, and is a joy to get to know and work with. And we love our home.”

“Powers renovated my kitchen. I have a 1936 house in a historic district. Powers came in and took measurements and bid the job including an itemized list of all work to be done. They provided a computerized rendering which fit with the style of the house. They assisted with choosing materials, finishes, colors, etc, but final decisions were left to me. The job started on time. Each subcontractor showed up when scheduled. Final cost was very close to bid with minor changes for unforseen costs. The finished product looks remarkably similar to the computerized renderings provided in the beginning. The workmanship is excellent, including reproducing an intricate arched doorway. Powers was great with communicating and keeping me informed and up to date throughout the process. Excellent experience.”

“Jim Kelley and his subcontractors are honest, skilled, and accurate in their appraisals. I have used Jim for multiple projects in repairing and remodeling my house. I have complete trust in him and the subcontractors he has carefully vetted and have left my house keys to them without concern. The work is done as described. The work areas are kept clean. The finish of the work is nicely done and there is care to match the existing look whenever desired and possible. Jim is considerate of budgets and has carefully detailed his costs to me and been open to discussed and using options when needed and appropriate to reduce costs. I am happy with each project Jim has personally done and/or supervised for me and will undoubtedly use him again for anticipated and unanticipated projects. I would recommend him without reservation and have to friends.”
