I hired Aaron Bollman & Company to carry out a full rehaul to my estate condition pre-war apartment in West Chelsea. The existing conditions of the apartment as well as conditions behind the walls required a lot of finesse and real time problem solving. This, along with following a very detailed professional design package from my hired architect, proved challenging in many ways. The finished project is exquisite. Of particular note was opening up the dated and small kitchen into the living room which was a total game changer for the apartment layout. The building's electrics and plumbing were very challenging to accommodate the new design plan, but Aaron's team carried it out seamlessly. They are smart, professional, and true partners at every step along the way. Every time someone comes into visit me at my apartment they are blown away at the quality and detail of this renovation. I was recommended Aaron and his company by my real estate agent who had his apartment recently renovated. Aaron renovated and upgraded my bathroom and kitchen in my one bedroom co-op which has some electrical and plumbing code issues when I purchased the unit. I hired Aaron Bollman work on my full apartment renovation. I am an architect myself and I had a pretty extended experience with contractors. I think Aaron and his team are very professional and they did a great job on my apartment. It was a complete renovation, complete demo of kitchen, bathroom and addition of a half bathroom. New floor, new closets, new finishes throughout, new electrical and plumbing. Aaron and his PM Fernando are very knowledgeable and they were able to execute all my design, including complex details such as frameless doors, ceiling details, and custom pieces such as full height doors, custom closets, custom medicine cabinets. I also installed Italian faucets, wall mounted toilets, door hardware, and lighting. I would definitely recommend Aaron as a GC for big and small renovations. His price is very competitive and he delivers great quality.

I had a great experience with Aaron and his team earlier this year with renovations in my 1 BR apartment in Chelsea. The work done included new plumbing to install a washer / dryer unit, re-plastering the entire ceiling to remove the ‘popcorn’ finish, deepening a hallway closet and adding custom shelving, installing multiple wall sconces with dimmable capabilities, installing multiple shelving units, and repainting the entire unit. Aaron strikes a fantastic balance of professionalism and ‘personal’ touch. He and the team are very detail oriented which was very appreciated, and answered all of my questions along the way while providing multiple options for me across a variety of requests. As a first time apartment owner the high-touch approach gave me peace of mind throughout the process. And the best part - the cost was very reasonable (almost 40% less than another estimate I received). My only minor gripe was the effort took a couple of weeks longer than initially anticipated (which seems to be pretty standard when it comes to contractor work), but Aaron was very reasonable about it providing constant updates, and even reimbursed me for costs related to changing my move-in date with my moving company. All in all a great experience and I would recommend Aaron without hesitation.
