Sam is one of the most responsive GCs I’ve ever worked with, straightforward, no excuses, good listener , honest and very clear in his communication. His crew worked efficiently, kept the site clean, and completed the job within the expected timeframe. I’d just recommend checking in with him ahead of time regarding any upcoming materials needed.

Sam and his crew did a fantastic job renovating my tub/shower! My existing tub/shower was improperly built in the 60s, and I was very stressed after it started completely falling apart on me. Sam made a strong first impression with a near instant response after I left my message. He was able to come out and view the problem directly within only a day or two, and I was impressed right away. One of the stressful parts of needing a contractor is making sure that you and the contractor understand each other completely, and I definitely felt like Sam understood my needs and concerns. He made me feel heard, answered my questions in detail, and had keen insights to offer. I was working on a very limited budget, so it was a relief when Sam clearly understood the limits and particulars of the work I wanted to get done. He was very helpful in separating out costs for different parts of the project so I could understand the work, and provided accurate price ranges for the parts I would need to supply. This clarity of pricing and scope were the final push that convinced me to work with Agora Construction. Sam's crew were also excellent. They were out to get the work done very quickly, and a pleasure to have in my home. Jose, Gene, Alcides, and Eduardo were considerate, friendly, and did fantastic work. Sam and his crew were quick to coordinate solutions to changing conditions and roadblocks that came up during work, which was inevitable given the age and condition of the bathroom they were working on. My partner and I both had some level of anxiety worrying over whether or not something big would come up and require the project's scope to balloon, so we really appreciated how effectively these issues were addressed every time. At one point my aging lead pipes sprung two leaks from age and rust, and Eduardo and Gene handled it immediately. The pipe was repaired, anti-mold treatment applied, and drywall ceiling patched up without extending the work day by more than an hour. I could not be more pleased with the end result of their work, too. The new shower looks gorgeous and feels great to use, and it's a relief to finally be able to live in my own home again. My aging home has more work in store for it, and I can't wait to work with Agora Construction again when the time comes.

Sam and Agora General Construction did a fabulous job from beginning to end on the remodeling of our basement space. Sam graciously and efficiently adapted to the changes and additions we kept making. He went really above and beyond in so many ways -- far more than I ever could have expected. He was a true partner in this process. He and his crew were terrific to work with throughout. And we are thrilled with the result. Even when not using the space to work out in, or to use the new soaking tub, I go down there several times a day just to admire the transformation.

We hired Sam to redo our front porch that a different contractor did very poorly last year. It was letting in rain water pretty badly. Sam had a plan right away to get it waterproofed after talking with me about my concerns. He remained in constant contact throughout the job and kept me updated every step of the way. He reacted quickly when one of the components went out of stock and suggested an alternative that I think turned out even better than the original plan. We went a little over the original budget, but him and his team provided quality work, were always punctual and gave it a very personal touch which is getting harder and harder to find these days. Will be keeping him in mind for future projects and would definitely recommend.

We hired Agora to renovate our primary bedroom. We had a tiny bathroom and quite a large bedroom so the project included tearing down walls and completely reconfiguring the space. Sam and his crew worked with us to bring our design to fruition. The project was completed before we expected and on budget. Sam was a pleasure to work with. He answered our texts and emails promptly and we found him and the crew to be completely trustworthy and respectful. We only ran into a couple of snags and they were remedied promptly without any pushback. We are absolutely thrilled with our new bedroom and bathroom. All the tiling, painting, plumbing, etc all completed to our satisfaction. We would use Agora again and highly recommend them.

We love our new bathroom and we are so happy that we decided to go with Agora Construction for this project! We did a complete tear out and remodel of a very large bathroom and Sam, the owner, was extremely easy to work with and very communicative from start to finish. The crew showed up on time every day and worked extra hard to get the project done within the estimated time frame and budget. We highly recommend Agora construction and look forward to using them again for future projects!

Agora finished a small bathroom remodel that another company left unfinished. They were fast workers but not very good at finishes or fittings. They had a good tile person, but the plumber took shortcuts that give the bathroom a less than professional end product. It's not worth doing over, but certainly not a quality renovation.

Had a terrific experience with the team at Agora General Construction! From quote through to completion, we found Sam to be extremely attentive, thorough, and flexible to our needs. The crew was very hard working and their craftsmanship was outstanding. We had a complete bathroom g ut and remodel. The team finished ahead of schedule and we could not be happier! Would definitely recommend and would use them on future projects!

From the beginning, we found that Sam and his crew were always available, which really eased our minds. If we had questions, if we (or they) thought something should be changed, they always had the time to discuss it. Sam was especially prompt, as he always got back to us the day we called and was always there when we needed him. This crew is extremely professional. They take pride in what they do, and they use their working hours efficiently. I was worried about moving some of our furniture, but the men from Agora Construction moved everything quickly and carefully, making sure not to scuff our new flooring! Along the same lines, if there was something amiss, they cheerfully came back and fixed the problem immediately. We will be working with Sam and his crew in the near future. He will be tearing down our old back porch (attached to the house) and rebuilding it, to include a powder room, space for laundry and space for a pantry with a couple of chairs. So to wrap up, we really have nothing negative to say. It was a completely positive experience, and we can say that we highly recommend Agora Construction for any residential needs you may have! Refurb of old single story house. Found Sam to be extremely responsive and flexible. We had a delayed start but as soon as we pulled the trigger he had a crew on-site and working. He handled changes and additions extremely professionally. The crews cleaned up after each stage and worked with us to overcome issues. Highly recommended.
