I am having a very difficult time with this contractor. He promised to be finished November 2020 and now Its May 2021 and it is still not done. Amodeo Contracting keeps hiring unskilled or low skilled labor that cannot execute the jobs required of them, necessitating rework and extra time. Amodeo Contracting will allow your property to be full of trash and debris for weeks at a time. Imagine the most basic thing you could expect is trash removal and it is like fighting city hall to get him to do it ( and it is required in the contract) I would not want anyone else to have this horrible experience. Amodeo Contracting promised to be a high end and detail oriented contractor. Our experience is that once he got our money, he rarely showed up to check on the quality of the work until of course, there was a problem. It is always a battle to get him to fix it the issues. Damian Amodeo makes loads of excuses as to why the work is poor and then tries to sell us on accepting the very poor work, blaming the subcontractors and absolving himself. Nothing has been completely fixed or finished. We are still going through this nightmare which could be remedied if skilled labor were hired and properly managed. Just last week the electrical FAILED INSPECTION! Damian Amodeo just has not done even the most basic job of a Gene ral Contractor, hiring and managing experienced,skilled labor. We were victims of FRAUD in our experience with Amodeo Contracting.

I'm an architect who's been working with Damian recently on a few projects & couldn't be happier with his work. Some builders are "hands-on" while others choose to "manage" the projects instead. Damian's approach is the latter, & he made this decision in order to provide better service to his clients & it shows in their happiness with their decision to hire him. I find Damian to be very personable & professional, with a great understanding of both the business & construction side of this industry. He's very up front with construction costs early in a project, which is greatly appreciated by his clients as this avoids any surprises during construction. He also has very good design sense, which doesn't necessarily apply to all builders. I would highly recommend Damian to any of my clients & I'm sure we'll continue working together for many years.
