Andrew Roby General Contractor is the premier custom residential contractor in the Carolinas. Specializing in custom homes, remodeling, kitchen and bath renovations and handyman services, Andrew Roby "makes it home" for clients through exceptional quality, craftsmanship and customer service for life.
In 1950, Andrew Robicsek, a Hungarian immigrant, founded a one-man remodeling and handyman service in Charlotte, NC. Two years after starting the company, Roby (Robicsek changed his name) hired Glenn Haston as Superintendent. The two would work together for more than 25 years, establishing the growing organization's reputation. In 1976, Haston bought the firm outright and today, the second and third generations of Haston's extended family work for the company. Now, more than 68 years later, Andrew Roby General Contractor is the largest custom residential remodeler in the Charlotte region and has expanded to Boone, NC.

Banner’s Cabinets has been a subcontractor on multiple projects where Andrew Roby Construction was the general contractor. Our experience is that homeowner’s and interior design professionals can communicate their vision to them and then step back and let them work knowing their vision will become reality. Their work is high-quality, and their professionalism and timeliness are commendable. Any intricate design needs or alterations we required for our cabinetry we quickly and flawlessly accommodated, and our customers were well-pleased. We have worked with four different project managers over the past several years with Andrew Roby, and they are all top-notch professionals. We recommend using Andrew Roby Construction for your project!

Summing up our experience working with Andrew Roby: these people are pros. Our role was to retrofit reclaimed wood beams, timber accents, brackets, and timber frame trusses into a home during an extensive and detail-oriented remodeling. What impressed us was their ability to communicate. By utilizing two project managers (one on site and one in their offices), they were able to quickly answer both administrative questions and hands-on, technical queries. Decisions were made quickly and answers were clear and concise. They have unusually good people and communication skills: for instance, they went out of their way to invite us to meetings with the architect and owner, and they asked for (and listened to) our input. We think highly of the people, the process, and the product at Andrew Roby.

We had two bathrooms redone by Andrew Roby Contractors, and we could not have been happier! The work involved moving walls and electrical and plumbing, and all the work went without a hitch. They were very professional and did everything they contracted to do ON TIME! Their workers were all very courteous and skilled, and all of them tried hard to be as clean as possible with their work. Their communication was consistent and very helpful. We would recommend this fine company for any job, any time!

I hired this company for their handyman service and the person was fantastic. He came to my house for 4 hours and tackled everything on my list. One of the items was a toilet that wouldn't flush and he pretty much had to take the whole toilet apart to fix it, but I was impressed that he had the knowledge to do that. I am so happy to have all the repairs done in my house and will definitely call Andrew Roby again the next time I have a fix it list.

Provided lighting installation, ceiling fan repair, etc on several occasions. They have become my go-to electricians (and the company also has handy-man + other services available I plan on using).

I requested an estimate from Andrew Roby while looking at a few homes. They were very helpful, willing to meet with me and my Realtor on our terms. The estimate came in below what we anticipated, but we ended up purchasing a different home than what we had Roby look at. If we were to make any renovations where we'd need a contractor, we would hire Andrew Roby in a second.

This was my first experience using a contractor and after hearing horror stories from neighbors about their remodeling experience, I was very nervous. But I have to say, it was a GREAT experience. Andrew Roby is the best. Everyone was very professional, very nice, and had lots of patience with me! :) Our new bathroom came out just beautiful!
