I had the great pleasure of working with John and Elizabeth at one of their projects in the Historic Grapevine area. I was impressed not only with their eye for design and the beautiful work they do, but also their considerate and kind nature. It is so common in our industry to find service provides and/or individuals that are either or, as in they either have the technical skill set to get the job done, or have the soft skills and mindset to always offer stellar client experience. John and Elizabeth excel both in a technical and professional sense, but also in a human touch and emotion sense of way. I could not be more grateful for having the pleasure to work with them and look forward to our next project together. Please choose them for any type of renovations and remodeling work. Black Door renovated our kitchen and family room. John and Elizabeth took my ideas to another level. It looks better than I could have imagined. John was very responsive when I had any issue and even though there were scheduling hiccups (on my end) he was still able to complete the project on time and on budget. Elizabeth was so helpful with several design elements including choosing a paint color that I would not have thought twice about without her recommendation. It turned out to be the absolute right color! I love my new space.

The Black Door Home Co. exceeded our expectations on our large door install. They removed a window and replaced it with a glass door that looks like it has always been there. John oversaw each step of the project and made sure everything was finished out neatly. Communication was great. I always knew when someone was going to be here and what they were doing. We purchased a home in Grapevine as an investment. It was approx 3600 sf and about 20 years old. We updated the kitchen, all baths, and floors along with painting; backyard landscaping; and some maintenance issues such as sprinkler system, wiring, and hardware. The total cost of the project was about $50,000. The project was completed on time and budget and leased for full asking price within 48 hours of completion. The new occupants expressed how proud they would be to call this house their home. I could not be happier with the integrity and ease of working with John and Elizabeth. We anticipate other opportunities to invest in the area and will without doubt use them again.
