We hired Blackbirdz for a bathroom renovation and they did an amazing job! We received so many compliments on our newly renovated bathroom. Blackbirdz handled any curveballs that came their way, from us (me) being indecisive on some things to product issues with ease and kindness, and were always super communicative. They were focused on making sure we were happy and their work product is top notch. You can’t go wrong with them - I’m including some pics of before and after.

INCREDIBLE!!! We hired Blackbirdz LLC for a full home renovation, total gut to the studs including new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc., and addition. They were kind, patient, hard-working, confident, talented, responsive, helpful, trust-worthy, clean, honest, transparent and fair - and great humans. I can say from extensive experience in working with contractors - Blackbirdz are a life raft of awesome in a sea of mediocrity!! We were introduced by referral back in 2019 and Kia was patient while my husband and I designed and redesigned our dream home plans. Once we figured out what we were doing, he again was patient and helpful while we went for variance and waited for approvals. When it came time to get motivated to move out and prepare for the build, he was helpful and once it was game on — they put their effort into our project and did what they said they were going to do and it came out GREAT! The only delays we had were not their fault, we had to get a new roof because once they exposed it the rafters were no good, and we had a few other major things that were unforeseen that delayed us a little, but we knew in advance and our month to month lease was helpful at our apartment. (Which we lived in for 7 months) Their painter, flooring guy and hvac guys were great! Kia and his brothers and team were talented and patient. My husband and I would come over every day to the house with “detail of the day” to either respond to a question they had about how we wanted it - or it was something we had thought of that we wanted. We chose the trim, the finishes, etc. And Kia was patient and helpful. For instance, we changed the design of the fireplace/ tv wall in the living room to make recessed book nooks with storage, and a recessed built in area for the tv, IPE wood mantel, Shiplap finish, and then a custom marble surround for the fireplace (Atlas Marble) and they were flexible and eager to help us bring our vision to life. I am so glad they did, it is our favorite room in the home! Kitty agrees ( I put a photo below.) We have not finished the shelves in the nooks, we will hire them to come back and finish that but to save money at the time we put it in the “later” category. Another very helpful flexible thing to get us to the finish line. Examples like this one are many, and we are so incredibly happy with our home, and delighted that we hired the Blackbirdz Brothers to do it. Thanks guys!

We worked with Blackbirdz to build a second-story addition on our home. This was in the height of COVID. Kouros and his brothers (Kia and Kia) WOW'd us by not only building the house of our dreams but also doing it on our ambitious timeline (7 months for a 2nd-story addition!). There are a few key elements that made this possible: 1) Excellent communication: We were blown away by how accessible Kouros was during the planning and construction process. He was always quick to respond to our questions (usually within minutes) and therefore decisions were made quickly and issues were resolved without delay. Unlike so many contractors out there, Blackbirdz won't leave you hanging for weeks or months without response! 2) Blackbirdz' strong relationships with fantastic sub-contractors: Blackbirdz used subcontractors for a few elements of the project like framing, plumbing and painting. Everyone who touched our project did quality work, was very committed to the project and was a pleasure to work with. It was very clear that Blackbirdz and their sub-contractors had a very good working relationship and have worked together for a long time on many different projects. We had complete trust in the entire team, including the sub-contractors, because we knew that Blackbirdz was only working with experts with proven expertise and experience. 3) Blackbirdz commitment to their projects and clients: Kouros and his brothers made us feel like our project was their only project even though it certainly wasn't! Despite their busy schedules, they were onsite often, were excellent listeners and took the time to get to know us and understand our needs. They were quick to troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions. They were considerate of our budget as well, which was greatly appreciated! We couldn't be happier with our renovation process and the final result! We've been recommending Blackbirdz to family and friends and are planning to use them again for a kitchen renovation.

Blackbirdz did our renovation/ addition from foundation to roof, in 2022-2033. Everything that remained standing was stripped to the studs in the demolition phase and all the footings had to be replaced under the existing structure- no easy feat. Their approach was cost-effective and the quality of their work was excellent. Where they used subcontractors in specialty areas like electric, HVAC, and plumbing, those subs were also a pleasure to work with. The communication and responsiveness of the Blackbirdz team was far beyond my expectations, and that level of collaboration went beyond us to our architect as well. We recommend them highly and without any reservations!

Blackbirdz are the best! We are love our new kitchen. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results…They are true Professionals. Blackbirdz believe in the highest standards for workmanship and it shows in everything they do.

We are in Morris County NJ and have used Blackbirdz for 3 different home projects: 2 minor-medium bathroom updates and a major first floor renovation which included full kitchen reno, family room reno, took a wall down between kitchen and dining room, added a beam and required significant work with various trades. The brothers at Blackbirdz are extremely professional, they listen to your ideas and provide input and recommendations based on the specific project, they are highly communicative and responsive. Any time they've come across an "issue" or item that wasn't expected (which we felt were few), they take more than enough time to explain to you what is happening and what options you have to address it. They pay attention to detail and followed-up with us multiple times, even after any project had been completed and paid in full. We will continue to recommend them.

I have worked with Blackbirdz numerous times both professionally as a residential architect, and personally for my own home renovations. They are always courteous, honest and easy to communicate with. As a family-owned company, the owners are also the ones doing the work. They are in the field everyday allowing them the ability to accurately estimate their jobs and their timelines. I highly recommend them.

Blackbirdz did excellent work converting our two bedrooms into three. They were very communicative and easy to work with, completed work in a timely fashion, and produced a high quality final product. Additionally, they accommodated adjustments to the plan and even came back for a final touch up after another contractor left a mess. We will definitely use them again for our next home renovation project.

We were very pleased with the Kitchen and Bathroom renovation. The Team was quick, efficient and easy to work with. They left our house clean after each work day. Blackbirdz also supplied very solid subcontractors. Highly recommended.

What a pleasure it was to work with Blackbirdz! They were excellent communicators, transparent, and on top of the process the whole time, which was no easy feat as we started work the week before NJ shut down due to COVID. They were professional through and through. Kia was always extremely responsive to phone calls and texts.
