I have recently had a bathroom and kitchen fitted by this company. When designing, planning and sourcing components for the jobs the guys were very helpful, thoughtful and provided sound advice.

We love our kitchen so much! And it is thanks to the Cabido team. They helped us with design but supported our own vision of what we wanted it to be. The starting estimate for the cost was the same at the end which was refreshing and greatly appreciated. We spend so much more time in that space and our house is so much more of a home now. I would highly recommend them and would go back to them with future projects.

These guys are fantastic! We have used them for two major renovations (one in 2019 in DC and one in 2023 in VA) and both went exceptionally well! Bernard and Rob are excellent at communication and paying attention to the status of the project. They were also very willing to work with us on a lot of smaller projects and items that needed to be addressed. I've recommended these guys to both my in-laws and a good friend. Both families used them. I would definitely recommend them again!

The team at JCabido did an amazing job on our bathroom remodel. We completely changed the size and footprint of our master bath and had them make some general plumbing upgrades, and repairs to our guest bath. They are great communicators. We were never in the dark about where are project stood because they were timely and responsive. Even when we had issues crop up down the line they backed up their work and came right back to make minor fixes. When I'm ready for our next big project they will be my first call!

We highly recommend JCabido for remodeling projects. Our basement was an unfinished concrete space with the furnace and hot water heater in the center of the room. We hired JCabido to finish/remodel the basement. We are glad we selected them as they are experienced professionals in the business. They worked with us on the perfect design for the space which included a beautiful laundry room with closet, gorgeous bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, ample living space, furnace room, gym, and two closets. J Cabido is highly recommended. I had interior work done in my living room to fix damage due to rain damage. After the next rain, the dripping continued. I called them and they were immediately back out at the house, conducted a full review, and fixed the outside from the external leak. They are professional and I give them two thumbs up.

I found JCabido on Angi's list while looking for kitchen remodel professionals. Bernard, Project Manager came by my house within a few days from my initial contact and was able to provide an estimate on the project shortly thereafter. He kept me up to date on any material delays and was able to translate my vision into reality. I couldn't be happier with how responsive the whole team was. The reno took less than 2 weeks (no structural changes) and everything was completed to my specifications with great attention to detail. They were also able to accommodate some minor changes. I would highly recommend working with JCabido and I am planning on using them for my bathroom reno.

Cabido is the best. They’re incredibly attentive, explain things clearly, and always give a great rate. I’m always terrified of getting screwed over by contractors. I have total faith and trust in Cabido and have recommended them to friends and neighbors many times since hiring them. They do amazing work.

We contracted JCabido to update our kitchen on a budget of about ~$25,000. This included new cabinets, quartz countertops, new recessed lighting, under-cabinet lighting, significant plumbing work, crown molding, a large glass tile backsplash, and re-installation of all appliances along with some other minor electrical work. We were also on a fairly tight schedule; we finalized plans at the start of December 2020 and were hoping to be finished by New Year's. In the end, JCabido was able to meet that goal about 99.9%, with only a few very minor details on the toekick molding left that were completed the first week of 2021. If I remember correctly, that delay wasn't JCabido's fault either as our tile supplier had a shipping delay that impacted the schedule a bit. I consider that a very significant achievement for the winter of 2020/2021 given the great difficulty we were having getting contractors to perform quotes or schedule us. We also felt that the costs were fair for the work performed; we had quotes for the work that were significantly more expensive (30k plus) for no readily apparent reason. Workmanship is good as well, and 8 months later the kitchen still looks like new when we find time to clean it (haha). Two other things I liked about JCabido were 1) communication and 2) financing. Being able to text our project manager easily whenever we had a concern helped a lot to keep things on track, and their easy financing helped us to afford the kitchen we wanted in the timeframe we needed it. My only very minor complaint is that some of the drywall work left a lot of dust in adjacent rooms, but I understand that drywall dust gets absolutely everywhere almost no matter what. That's not worth knocking a star off by any means. The bottom line is that I would definitely recommend getting a quote from JCabido and I plan to do so when we get around to re-doing our bathrooms.

Very professional. I got an estimate from this company to replace my bathroom tub and sink and replace with ceramic tile. They got me scheduled right away. The project manager was always available and responded quickly to answer any of my questions. I was not sure on selecting the tile and the project manager helped me select a tile that went well with my bathroom. The project was finished right on time and I could not be happier. The bathroom looks even better than I had pictured. I am very pleased with the quality of work provided by JCabido Remodeling and I plan to use this company for future projects in my home.

I have used this company for many jobs from replacing an old deck to renovating my kitchen and even smaller painting and lighting jobs. They are professional and do quality work. I highly recommend them for any job.

Work included removing two kitchen cabinets and an exhaust hood, installing two new kitchen cabinets, moving the old ones to the laundry room and reinstalling, running a new electrical circuit for a microwave over the stove, installing a new outlet inside a cabinet for the microwave, and drywall patching and painting afterwards.

Jcabido did a great job on our kitchen remodel. Our remodel involved complete demolition, removal of a wall, structural changes, installation of gas stove, tiled backsplash, hardwood flooring, expanding patio door to a double sliding door, and appliance, countertop, cabinet installation. We are very happy with the design, installation, and overall quality of the work done. The remodel was extensive and took a span of two months, despite some additional work done. Special shout out to: Bernard for being on top of things to make sure that the work gets done in a satisfactory way and thinking of what is best for the clients; Artur for his patience in listening to different requirements and concerns in formulating the concept and design; and the on-site crew members (Roberto, Gerrardo) for doing the quality work with utmost professionalism. A kitchen renovation is a stressful process for your family to go through, without having to worry about whether things are getting done in the right way especially when you don't have a lot of knowledge on the construction process. I feel that Bernard and his team are people you can trust to do the right thing for you. We recommend Jcabido and would hire them again for future work!

Work done: Basement re-model + re-flooring, deck + siding replacement, carpet replacement, patch+paint whole interior, minor plumbing+electrical Summary: I would definitely hire the JCabido team again. They greatly exceeded my expectations. My wife and I were out of the country during the entire 2-3 month project and expected it to be difficult get the type of updates that would make us feel comfortable the work was progressing well (ie on time and with quality craftmanship). The project managers Bernard and Gui sent us regular updates (w/ photos) on Whatsapp, and made sure to check in with us when discovering any unexpected issues. They were responsive and maintained excellent communication throughout the project. They were also very flexible in providing multiple rounds of estimates and revisions as we tried to tailor the project to fit our very fixed budget. We broke the work into 2 phases to ensure the most pressing items were completed within budget, before moving on to some optional improvement/upgrades. The first phase was completed a week early, and the second phase was on time. I showed photos of some of the work in progress to my brother-in-law (he's a contractor in another state), and he pointed out that they were using the right kind of materials, when they could have used cheaper stuff and I wouldn't have known the difference; I took this as a further indicator of the quality of their work. Invoicing and payment was easy since it was all online. In short, they were amazing. I can't imagine having a better experience with another set of contractors, especially because I couldn't be there in person to check in on the work. I was anticipating a very stressful and frustrating experience managing this project remotely, and it was a piece of cake. These guys are fantastic!

It was awesome. Bernard and his team were extremely thorough, helping us think through every element. They were quick to come on site, take measurements, put together an extremely detailed budget with great drawings, and discuss what the timeline would be. I felt informed every step of the way. They completely gutted part of the basement, rerouted plumbing, built out a laundry closest, built in desk, Murphy bed, shelving, and a bench. Outside they built out a fantastic custom storage unit that fits the home perfectly. The quality and craftsmanship are second to none, it all looks incredible. We are ecstatic with the outcome. They produced a great product and were an absolute pleasure to work with. We cannot recommend Bernard and his team highly enough.

This company is great! While they typically do remodeling, they completed extensive repairs to my DC condo building. My building, a row house that was split into 4 stories, 2 units built 2015, was poorly constructed by a developer. The developer left us with leaks in every window and door, an improperly built roof, crumbling masonry, and multiple deficiencies both interior and exterior. JCabido came in to rescue us from the disastrous mess the developer left behind (side note - sadly, there was no legal recourse for the developer so everything was paid out-of-pocket by the condo unit owners and HOA). JCabido was awesome to work with. Of all the contractors we reached out to, they were hands down the most responsive, professional, thoughtful, thorough and flexible. Their attention to detail both on the work site and in the office was very much appreciated. The work crew was beyond efficient. The craftsmanship and care they gave to the project was impressive, to say the least. They discovered and rectified so many other unseen issues. Plus, they finished right on schedule. I can't express enough the gratitude I feel towards them for the peace of mind they gave us after living through a nightmare for 4 years. They would be the first company I'd reach out to for any construction needs.

JCabido has done execellent work installing 2 bedrooms and a full bath in our rental property. Most recently they repaired an underground plumbing leak under the basement bathroom. They did a great job doing the repair and replacing the bathroom floor. JCabido is my first choice for any renovation or repair work.

Our overall rating would be a B+/A-. We love the final product of both the basement and deck with a gazebo; the craftsmanship was excellent. The workers were courteous and industrious & arrived, for the most part, on schedule. They did a good job of keeping the work area free of debris. Though the basic design/layout of the basement was done in advance, as the project progressed, changes were made as we and the designer made suggestions. However, some of the additions such as crown molding and shelving along the stair wall could have been suggested in the original drawings. We chose engineered hardwood for the flooring which looked really great upon initial installation. Further inspection a few days later revealed hardened glue residue, which by that time was difficult to remove. Workers made several attempts to remove the glue with not much success. Given the unsuccessful repeated attempts and being weary of workmen disrupting everyday activities by this time, we took the job on ourselves. The basement work started the first week of December 2018 and was projected to take 8 weeks; it passed final inspection in July 2019. The deck was started around 20 May 2019 and passed final inspection on 30 August. This was because of some code issues and inclement weather. The cost for the basement and deck was between $100,000 - $125,00, which was neither the highest nor lowest out of approximately five bids. All in all, we are very satisfied with the outcome and would recommend their services.

Bernard and his team were great! We did an extensive renovation: new kitchen, added a half bath, removed a load bearing wall, etc. They were always really nice and professional. Whenever a problem came up, they worked hard to find a solution, and we’re really pleased with the quality of work done. They did the work about a year ago now, and everything still looks and works great.

This project went better than we could have hoped. Bernard and Gui were responsive from day 1. We scheduled the work to take place mostly while we were on a two-week vacation (since it's our only bathroom) and the crew thoughtfully sent SMS updates with photos every few days. Unexpected impediments were dealt with collaboratively, they worked very well around our 100-year-old house and its lack of strict 90° angles, and our home was left in fine shape! Work took a bit longer than expected, but it was due solely to an unforeseeable issue that they resolved with great professionalism. I would not hesitate to hire this outfit again! We're pondering a shed dormer across the rear of our bungalow to enlarge two bedrooms and add a master bath; if finances allow and we decide to pull the trigger, they will be our first call.

We hired JCabido to remodel our Washington DC townhouse. This project included a complete renovation of 3 floors with the addition of a new deck and parking. This was a complicated and at times messy renovation project. We were pleased that JCabido proactive approach, they coordinated subcontractors and handled seamlessly all of our Washington DC construction permits. They were very responsive to our needs and transparent in their procurement process. It was refreshing to work with a family-owned company, avoided bureaucracy and we always had direct access to Mr. Cabido in case things needed to be escalated. Overall we are very pleased with JCabido's work and would recommend to others.

In 2018 JCabido remodeled my basement into a living area which included a bathroom/shower, full kitchen, laundry area, flooring, electrical upgrade, windows, doors, walk-in closet. They also came back in a month to complete a side deck porch, and in August they completed a waterproofing job in the front and halfway down the side all the way down to foundation as well as put in a draining system.

JCabido did excellent work. They did top-quality work on-time, on-budget, and were great about communicating with us. Definitely hiring them again.

We reviewed several bids for the remodel of our bathroom. J Cabildo was not the cheapest but they were the most self assured and professional and we were looking for quality for this particular job. Bernard knew what we were looking for and worked with us to set up. We had a few hiccups in the contract process (mostly because of travel) but once we got going, it was smooth sailing. What sets this company apart was the way they communicate with the clients and how responsive they were to our inquiries. Gui gave us regular updates, and through every phase, he let us know what to expect and he anticipated needs down the line. Super pleasant to work with and the crew was respectful of our house and cleaned up daily. The end result was absolute quality work. We had a pretty serious tile job and it was superb workmanship from demo to the final fixtures. We've hired a lot of companies in the DC area for various remodeling jobs.Though Cabildo might cost a bit more, I would rather pay more for quality and less drama than deal with some of the reindeer games we have experienced with cheaper firms. Highly recommended.

There aren't enough good things to say about J Cabido remodeling. Every step of the process was smooth, efficient, transparent, and headache free. Bernard arrived promptly to provide a quote. He worked with us as we tried to figure out what to trim down to help with costs. Before the project started he brought his team on site to give them an overview, work out some of the design elements, and make sure everyone was clear on process and expectation. The 2 gentleman that were assigned to our project were GREAT! Rob was the lead. One thing that I really loved and appreciated about the process is that the same 2 gentleman came to our home every day until the project was finished. If they weren't going to be on site, ex. when the electrician was working, the Project Manager informed us in advance. The team was on schedule despite the number of requested change orders. They were flexible and patient with us as we changed our mind on the kitchen design multiple times. Every step of the process went smoothly. This is the third contract I've worked with for major home renovations and I could not be happier. I love our new kitchen and family room. I would highly recommend J Cabido. I will definitely use them again for any future projects! So great. So so great!

Extremely professional, job well done, and great value. JC Abido helped me rebuild my basement after it was torn up during a sump pump installation. They reinstalled the bathroom components, repaired drywall and tiled the entire area. The job was done without any problems and met my budget needs.

We highly recommend JCabido Remodeling for work on your house. We are coming to the end of the first part of a major remodel on our townhouse. Work done includes: new flooring on the main floor and upstairs, carpeting on stairs, new floor molding, new crown molding on the main floor, granite counter tops in bathrooms, new flooring in master bathroom, recessed lighting installation, new closet doors, new bedroom doors, upgrading our electrical panel and painting throughout the area. We had a project manager to work with plus a two man crew who were here most every day. Electrical work, flooring installation and carpet installation were performed by separate crews who specialized in these areas. All of the work done has been amazing. Everyone who worked on the house was professional and an expert at their job. Requests/problems were handled as quickly as possible. They will be working on renovating our kitchen next week and then will do our basement area in the spring. My husband and I are so happy with all the work done. My one reminder to anyone embarking on major renovations to their house is to remember that it is disruptive – noisy and dusty for days on end. For about two weeks I did have to live mostly in our kitchen during the day. Also remember that sometimes changes have to made – so roll with the punches.

We hired J Cabido to fully rehab an old and tired bathroom. They did an excellent job. The crew was pleasant, thorough and totally professional. The job was done on time and to a high degree of quality. They arrived on time every morning, and cleaned up every day at the end. Highly recommended.

For example, if their client wants help picking out stone in our warehouse, we always see them come in with them to make sure they are getting taken care of.
