Canyon's Construction Services

We hired Canyon's Construction to finish the basement of our home in north Boulder. They were not the first contractor we talked to, but from the very first meeting, Josh seemed to be listening and giving honest assessments of the project in a way that set them apart. Our experience throughout the project proved this is actually how Josh and the company work. One of the most impressive aspects of working with Canyon's Construction was the quality of the project manager, Vince, and the subcontractors. Vince was very responsive (i.e. same day) to requests or concerns, and was always patient when we were indecisive on open issues. I've never hired a company for a project where the subcontractors were of such consistent high quality. They were all easy to work with, and were clearly focused on doing good work (often above and beyond). Reflecting on the project overall, I can't remember a single instance where something was agreed to and not delivered as promised. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Canyon's Construction for the quality of their work, and how pleasant they are to work with.

My wife and I have hired Josh Gilcreest and Canyon’s Construction Services for two separate projects, the second, the result of our great experience during the first. They remodeled a barn into an art studio for our first job (a very unique undertaking), and remodeled our basement for the second. Overall, Josh and his crew are of the highest integrity, were extremely pleasant to work with, very attentive to our goals, and provided us a superb end-game result for both projects. From the start, and throughout each enterprise, they made every effort to understand and realize our vision. They provided us detailed and well thought out plans and options for review, choice, and modification, and executed the projects according to plan. Josh himself is extremely creative and innovative, and had many worthy design inputs. They were honest and upfront about costs, unforeseen problems, and errors that arose during construction, including issues we never would have noticed. They diligently held various sub-contractor’s feet to the fire to ensure the results of their efforts were of the highest quality. On the very rare occasion that we determined something needed to be corrected they were totally receptive to our concerns, and promptly addressed the issues to our satisfaction. Lines of communication were always open and any queries we had were responded to quickly. The completion of the studio project was delayed a couple of months because of an unanticipated COVID pandemic shut down, but the basement remodel was completed on time. Both were on budget. The end result is we are very pleased with how both projects turned out (particularly given the studio project was accomplished during the height of the COVID pandemic), and would be happy to hire them for subsequent endeavors. We highly recommend Canyon’s Construction Services to anyone considering a home improvement construction project.

We worked with Canyon's Construction Services to remodel our newly acquired Denver office space from late October 2021 through early December 2021. To say that they did a phenomenal job would be an understatement... They knocked it out of the park! The entire Canyon's Construction Services team was professional, responsive, and conscious of our budget during the whole process. They really went the extra mile to ensure our project was finished on time so that we could move into our new office space early that December. The final result completely exceeded our expectations! Our vision for our new office space was brought to life thanks to the help of Josh and his team. We couldn't have asked for a more positive experience. Thank you all again!

We have had 2 major jobs done with Josh. Both of them were add-ons, approx 900 sq ft each. Very impressed with his knowledge and his ideas during the construction. Highly recommend him for any project. From the permits to the final walkthrough, no complaints. We had an issue with one of the subcontractors, Josh stepped in and it was settled fast and to our satisfaction. We have 1 more job coming up and he is our guy! Josh and team are terrific from start to finish. They listen carefully to what you want and then transform that into plans that perfectly capture those ideas. They then execute that plan with skill and meticulous attention to detail. They have done 6 or 7 different projects for us from bathrooms, to kitchen, to outdoor decking and each project has been performed exactly on the schedule laid out and agreed to at the start and for the price agreed to. Josh and and the team of Canyon Construction are just a joy to work with.

I first used Canyon's Construction Services back in the late 90's for a full kitchen remodel. Early 2000's was the reconfiguration of 2 bathrooms and a walk-in closet. And in 2013, Josh built out a 150-capacity deck (that's about 20' off the ground) and added a second level to our 2-car garage. Not only is he fantastic at what he does, he's an all-around great human (which is nice when they are in your house for weeks!). Highly recommend them for any of your construction needs.

Josh and his team are exceptional. They are true professionals. We were most impressed with their organization of the project and their communication. We finished on time and on budget. We will be recommending them to all our friends and family and we will be using them again for future projects.

Josh and his crew were a pleasure to work with on our bathroom remodel and sewage damage repair. They provided suggestions for fixtures and finishes when we we having trouble deciding, they finished the project on time and under budget, and it looks great.

Canyon Consultant did an absolutely stellar job on our basement finish. Not only did they complete the job on time and on budget, the workmanship was top notch and the finished basement wound up being the best part of the house. Since they'd done such a great job, we asked them to fix our back deck that another contractor had done poorly and we were super pleased with that too. I'd highly recommend them and hire them again except that I'm out of projects now.

We have used Canyon Consultants for several significant projects on our house. Each time, the work was performed to exacting standards, was done completely in accordance with the schedule laid out before we started, and in accordance with the agreed-upon pricing. Additionally, they make very helpful additional suggestions for improvement as the project progresses, but without allowing the time line to lag. We have nothing but positives to say about our many experiences with Josh and his team.
