Evan graduated University of Florida with a concentration in Building Construction and has worked with large national companies and small local builders; all of this experience has helped mold Carolina Classic Builders into what it is today. We would recommend Evan and the Carolina Classic team for any new build, renovation and/or addition. We hired Evan to add a second story to our one-story bungalow and add square footage on the ground floor. Our existing house was also fully renovated, keeping the existing elements that we loved and upgrading around them to retain our home’s character. Evan was great throughout the whole process. He was very communicative and responsive to feedback, and did a nice job of keeping us within our budget. We are absolutely in love with our home and still can’t believe we live here every day we walk through the door! We would definitely use Evan and his team again for any future projects and recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

The team at Carolina Classic Builders finished our basement in a new construction home. They followed our vision and gave us everything we wanted: Movie Theater, Exercise Room, Craft Room, Hockey Room, Bathroom and communal area. We could not be happier with the results. They stayed in budget and completed within the established timeline. Furthermore, when repairs had to be made twice to a specific wall, they had us contact our builder. Turns our there was a big structural issue that the builder had to address under our warranty. We would have never known if not for Evan and his team at Carolina Classic.

High quality work on 3 bathrooms & kitchen in our Fourth Ward condo. They coordinated and worked well with building management, staff and inspectors. No request was too large, and overcame all issues quickly and easily.

Thank you Carolina Classic! We remodeled our kitchen and two bathrooms and we are very happy with the finished product. There were certainly some bumps along the way as I am sure there are in any renovation, but CC stood behind their work with every issue and fixed what needed to be fixed without additional charge to us. We finished on budget.

Our master bath was typical of those "postage stamp size" baths in 1950's ranch homes. Our project included construction of an en suite bath and walk-in closet, which required the removal of an exterior wall and connecting a new roof line to 3 existing roof lines. Evan Weiss has put together an extremely talented team and works with some of the best sub contractors in Charlotte. All provided excellent workmanship and were a pleasure to have in and out of our home during the project. The project exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend CCB for any home project.

Carolina Classic Builders was wonderful! When building a custom home, as we did, a LOT of decision-making goes into the equation. Evan, the owner, and his team gave us liberty to design our home the way we wanted with a few recommendations of their own. We presented a budget, and even though we splurged on a few things, Evan worked diligently to keep us in bounds. After interviewing several builders for our home renovation, my wife and I decided to hire Evan and his company, Carolina Classic Builders. We were not disappointed. Evan and his project manager (Mike) did an incredible job throughout the 7+ month process. They provided sound advice and creative ideas during the initial architectural phase, and were extremely responsive and communicative throughout the renovation. They were professional, courteous, and patient. Our project was "on time and on budget", and the results are incredible . . . neighbors are constantly offering compliments on the quality of work and the speed with which the job was completed. Carolina Classic builders added a screened in outdoor living area to our home 2 years ago. During the past 2 years we have not had any problems with the project and Evan Weiss the owner has taken the time to check in with us to see how our addition has been performing.
I decided to write this review because I know how hard it can be to find the right contractor that you can trust and who does quality work in a timely manner. Evan and Carolina Classic Builders measure up in all of these areas. We took 3 bids from other contractors before we started.
Evan takes great pride in their workmanship. They do not believe in taking short cuts and work to spend your project dollars wisely. Evan was easily accessible during the entire project. Even my architect who is AIA/ASID/LEED AP was impressed with Carolina Classic Builder's performance and found Evan easy to work with and communicate with on a high level. I know they build homes from scratch, but if you are considering doing a renovation I would make sure to get a bid from these guys.
On top of all this I also know that Evan and his family spend a lot of time volunteering in the Charlotte community.

Evan and the crew at Carolina Classic Builder did an incredible job building our stand alone garage and bonus room. They handled everything from the original plans to the final finishes and we couldn't be more pleased. They were very responsive to requested changes and even fixed a difficult drainage issue that existed prior to the project. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.
