Cedarbrook Outdoor Design/Build

We had Cedarbrook design and build a 10' x 21' screened in porch for us, with a patio underneath. When they were done, our finished product was beautiful, functional and should last 50 years. Our neighbors and people passing by are very impressed and ask who built that for you. We enjoy watching nature unfold from the porch and the patio. If I need anything else done outdoors, I will surely use them again!

We had a fantastic experience with Cedarbrook! Mike really listened to the styles we liked and features we wanted, and came up with a design that completely impressed us with how perfect for us it was. Not only did he incorporate all of our requests but had solutions to water issues in the yard and some design suggestions that demonstrate how knowledgeable Mike is. The employees that put in the patio and deck were professional and tidy, and did great work. Our new deck and patio is beautiful and actually makes our small backyard look bigger.

Team fixed an old patio ceiling install from another contractor. As always, the team treated my home as their own. They were Very respectful and knowledgeable and showed me how they fixed the area installed wrong and insured me areas that were previously installed were installed correctly and secure which were not easily accessible during the estimate phase. therefore the job wasn’t as huge as estimated.

Workmanship is amazing! On budget, on schedule and the work is better than I could have ever imagined. Truly transformed the home.

Cedarbrook was excellent from start to finish. Meeting with Mike to discuss design and materials was convenient and provided us with ideas that led to a beautiful deck and patio. This company is experience with working with exotic woods, and our Ipe deck is just gorgeous. The crew worked through bad weather as much as was safe to complete out project in a timely matter. The paver stones for the patio and terraced flower beds complement the brick on our home, and the plantings suggested are beautiful. We are very pleased and would recommend this company to anyone. They were great at responding to questions and kept us informed about their progress.

CedarBrook removed our old deck and patio and replaced them with a beautiful new deck and patio. Every phase of the project was performed in a timely manner and with precise execution. We were very impressed by the skill of the crews, and we are delighted by the results. We highly recommend this company.

We worked with Mike Arneson at Cedarbrook for about a year to determine a design and budget for our deck and patio project. He answered our many questions/concerns and made himself available to meet in person several times in advance of the project start. We also wanted to address some drainage issues in the back of our home and Mike and team were able to include that as part of the project scope. Our project was completed in two phases. The deck was first. Materials were delivered on time and we were very satisfied with the initial quality....we hope that proves to be the case long term and we feel pretty optimistic that the vendor recommended by Cedarbrook will be top notch. The craftsmanship of the actual deck build was excellent and the guys took great pride in their work. The patio project required a substantial amount of excavation. The crew was onsite for about a week and took great care when working under and around the new deck. The hardscape project included two capped retaining walls, a 25' x 12' patio, paver walkway, natural stone steppers, river stone under the deck and around the steppers and a capped sitting wall. The crew worked incredibly hard to meet our expectations and in the end we were very happy with their work. Mike came back at the end of the project to perform a quality check. He did so with a critical eye and identified a few areas that required correction and them addressed before we could even notice. We knew that Cedarbrook was not the cheapest contractor in town and we were glad to pay a little more for the quality we expect for such an investment. In the end we are glad we did. We got what we paid for and are very happy with the value received for the contracted price.

Cedarbrook installed a deck on the back of the house, off the kitchen on the main floor. The deck was approximately 16' wide by 12' deep. I met with Mike at the house, I explained what I wanted, Mike drew the plans, and sent them to me for me to review. I called Mike to make to make some minor changes; the changes were made without a hassle. Through out the duration of the project, someone from Cedarbrook would periodically call me to ensure I was happy with the progress. And a special thank you to Kristen, the Office Manager, who answered all my questions throughout the project. Fantastic looking deck, quality workmanship, and wonderful customer service.

I hold this company in the highest regard! I am so pleased with the quality of their work and the kindness and expertise of all who work there, from the owner on down. I would be happy to share my experience with anyone thinking of hiring them and would be pleased to show off my new, incredible looking decks. A tree fell on our upper deck in June. Chad (in sales) helped me in my struggle with my insurance company to get them to pay for the entire upper deck that had some damage. Raul and two other teammates were assigned to my job. They were all great and very hard workers. I am still in awe of how beautiful and well- built these decks are. I chose TimberTech Tigerwood for the decking and TimberTech Evolutions Rail Contemporary in black with round aluminum black balusters for the railings. In closing, I would like to say that Raul is the very best carpenter I have ever met. He is also a very special person who cares about the people he works for and also has excellent rapport with his assistants who did excellent work as well. This company is a real "class act".

I just purchased a home in June and needed some extra outdoor entertaining space. I called Cedarbrook for a consultation, as recommended by a friend. Mike came out and gave me a thorough explanation of his vision, as well as a rough sketch. He gave me a nice catalog of pavers that he uses to install patios. The following day, he provided me a better drawing and cost. I got a few other estimates, all around the same cost, but chose the small local company. Mike was very thorough with explanations and happy to answer any of my questions or concerns. The reviews and testimonies on the website were great, and I could not be happier I chose them. All of my friends and family have commented how much they like the patio. It looks great and I would highly recommend Cedarbrook Outdoor Design to anyone needing decks or patios.

We would highly recommend Cedarbrook to anyone considering a deck or similar outdoor improvement. From start to finish, it was clear that customer satisfaction is their primary goal in delivering a project. We interviewed a number of contractors for our deck, and ultimately chose Cedarbrook for their professionalism, experience, and recommendation from a family friend. We were not disappointed in any way, and would use them again. They assisted with design and product selection on the front end. Their install crew was great, and were very flexible in working with us with small to medium changes in design as we proceeded. The ultimate result was top notch, and I was very glad I decided not to attempt to do the job myself, which I had been considering. The cost was not insignificant, but it was on par with other estimates, and it truly adds appeal and value to property. Bottom line, be sure to at least to put Cedarbrook on your list of contractors to look at when hiring for your project.

We just bought a 20 year old house that we love and needed a new deck as the original was starting to rot. I called several companies to come out and give a quote. Cedarbrook was by far the best service, knowledgeable, and comparable in cost. The owner himself came out to measure and evaluate our needs. He investigated the deck in its entirety (some of the others did not) and discovered that 90% of the structure was still good and did not show any signs of rot like the top decking was showing. This saved us a lot of money! He took measurements of the whole deck and within a couple of days had a cad drawing of our deck and a very well written description of what needed to be done along with any uncertainties. There were some sections you wouldn't know whether it needed to be replaced or not till you got the boards off to look. He was very upfront about everything. We had a 3 split level and wanted to make the deck all one level. He also noted in his evaluation that the original builders never finished the stairs and they were just sitting on blocks. None of the other contractors we talked to even mentioned this. He also said they were not wide enough and built to code. I went underneath the deck with him (cant help myself as i am an engineer) and he explained and showed all of the details. They sent out a a site manager the week before the work was to start and on work day two really curteous gentleman showed up to dismantle and rebuild our deck. This took a little over two weeks due to having to stop work for almost a week as we had loads of rain from a hurricane off the coast. They did a great job and even cleaned the siding where the original deck (old upper level) was removed. They had to remove, and reattach one of our gutters to fit the deck properly and this looks really nice. Our deck is not an easy shape (in no way is it square) and is all angles. After the work was done the two gentleman cleaned up the site, made sure the deck was spottless. Then the site manager came out to inspect the workmanship and see what we thought of our new deck. We were extremely pleased!

Cedarbrook added a patio and front walkway to my home. They were professional and did an excellant job. Work was started and completed when they said it would be and there were no surprises as sometimes happen w/ contractors. Looking to have them do more work this year.

Cedarbrook is an excellent company with great customer service values. They attempt to do exactly what they say they will do without taking short cuts! The attention to detail is greater with Cedarbrook than 'luxury' home builders. They should have built our current home instead of just the deck/porch and patio. I had a patio designed and installed in the front of my home replacing an ugly walkway with stepping block. They had to move azalea shrubs and part of a garden mulch bed. All was completed in one week. Unbelievable results. We now enjoy outdoor living in the front of our home. Everyone that comes to our front door complements us on the look and beauty of our patio hardscape that leads to our front door. The price was great and the end result was terrific.
