I would highly recommend Rick Renfro and the Christian Home Builders to anyone for any project. I had designed a music recording studio that was a very unconventional project. I was having trouble finding a contractor who was both interested in and capable of building it for a fair price. I feel very fortunate to have found Christian Home Builders as they ticked all three of those boxes. Rick Renfro was very interested in the project, and he helped me come up with lots of creative solutions to some of the acoustical problems we had to solve on a job such as this. I found all of his subcontractors to be very capable as well as professional. I don't think there is a 90 degree joint in the entire building, save where the walls meet the floor, and the finished product looks incredibly professional. More importantly, the cost was very reasonable and he was very transparent with me about how the funds were being allocated. We met every month to analyze the costs and he worked hard to keep everything under control. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. The acoustics are beautiful and my business is now really starting to pick up. I'm convinced that the Christian Home Builders don't just build great homes (and recording studios), they could build a just about anything. I'd leave ten stars but they maxed me out at five.

Rick and his contractors did a great job on our new home. Thanks to his detailed estimating and working with us along the way we stayed in budget, though the timing was a little long...quality takes time. Rick was at the job site several times a week and met with us whenever he or we needed to resolve an issue. He readily took on challenges, often finding what we wanted at a lower cost through his relationship with local suppliers. We strongly recommend Christian Home Builders to those with a plan that need quality construction.

Working with Rick and his contractors was a pleasure. We added two additions to the existing house and did a complete kitchen remodel. Now we have a wonderful house we can enjoy for a long time.

Our project was an addition. It was more complicated to add on than it would have been to just build a completely new structure and Rick still took it on. In fact, he stayed at the table with us through a mess with the mortgage company which should have killed our agreement. And he hung in there with me when the stress of living in the house while remodeling about did me in. The thing I most appreciated about Rick was I could count on him for leadership. I could rest assured that he knew what he was doing and he always gave me his best. I love the countertops from his vendor and the fireplace that came all the way from Lufkin is amazing. I highly recommend CHB's.

Building a custom home can be very stressful but Rick Renfro of Christian Home Builders made it a very pleasant experience for us. We spent months looking at model homes and interviewing numerous builders from Trinity all the way down to Angleton, and finally decided to choose Rick to build our dream house on Lake Livingston. We were very impressed with the homes Rick built, his use of local contractors for the projects, and his attention to details. We also liked that he has built numerous houses in our subdivision so his knowledge of the building requirements from the local authorities and the POA helped expedite the various approval processes. There were so many factors involved in our decision but it all comes down to TRUST, and we felt very comfortable trusting Rick to do what’s right from beginning to end. Rick could see what we had in mind and helped us design, plan, and build the perfect home. Throughout the process, Rick was always available, professional, and extremely helpful down to the little details. He kept us updated with progress regularly, and guided us with “the next step” so we were always one step ahead, which made the building process flow smoothly and trouble-free. As a result, we are living the dream and sharing our dream home with family and friends, thanks to Rick and his crew. It has been three years since Rick built our home and he continues to be available and helpful whenever we need him for any advice and/or suggestions.
