Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry for your experience but it is not right to deny paying us for electrical work that we completed all because we finished the job ahead of schedule. We did your first floor electrical fully up to CT code as promised and saying we did it quicker then you anticipated is no reason to stiff us. At Connecticut Custom Creations, we take pride in providing clear communication and transparency with all of our clients and absolutely do not do free work. We do not work hourly, we work per task as stated at the time you signed the contract.
Prior to starting any project, we conduct a thorough walkthrough, present a detailed bid for the full scope of work, and proceed only once both parties are in full agreement. Again, we do not operate on an hourly basis or provide handyman services; instead, we offer competitive pricing and work with our clients to establish a fair cost for their specific project needs.
It’s important to clarify that any work requested outside the scope of our original agreement must be discussed and documented in advance. We cannot accommodate additional tasks not outlined in the invoice, as time, labor, and materials incur costs. These tasks can only be undertaken with prior approval from the company’s owner and must be contractually documented.
As outlined in our contract, we are fully committed to completing the agreed-upon work, and payment is required as each task is completed. While we strive to be flexible and collaborative throughout the project, we must maintain the integrity of the original scope of work to ensure a successful outcome.
In regard to your $4,000 down payment, the charges were based on Task’s completed (Full electrical, chimney work, design, multiple consultations, administrative work, permitting, specifications for replacement windows and travel fee)—services that extended beyond the initial contract. We also purchased over $3,000 in materials, for which receipts were provided. Our team made every effort to accommodate your needs, but it became necessary to adhere to the agreed terms to maintain the project’s integrity.
