We remodeled a bathroom in the house we own but that we rent to my sister and elderly mother. The key reason for the remodel was to make the shower area safer for my Mom but, also, to update the entire bathroom. Matt was very professional and responsive from start to finish. We live out-of-state so we were very happy that Matt had a design person who oversaw putting together all of the finishes and ordering the needed materials (with our input via Zoom). Matt used a variety of subcontractors. When I contacted them to be sure they had been paid, they all had high praise for the way Matt always stuck closely to his original schedule and also paid them promptly. Core design worked closely with my sister to be sure that placement of hooks and safety bar, etc. were placed in places convenient to her and to my elderly mother. When the paint job on the shelving wasn't perfect, Matt noticed and had the painters come back and redo it. There were many other small things that were taken care of by Matt as soon as he was notified of them and made the final remodel just beautiful. Core Design was more expensive than we've paid in the past at other remodels, but I think the end product speaks for the worthiness of the expense.

Matt at CORE Design + Build is a gem. He's meticulous with scheduling and extremely communicative around project progress and changes that occur. He runs a tight crew who are experts in their trades and has strong relationships with every one of them. We can't tell you how nice it is to see people show up to work who are happy and truly enjoy each other. On top of all of that, he's incredibly empathetic and solutions-based without adding to the stressors of what any build or remodel inevitably encounters. He does all this while keeping the financial and emotional impacts to the homeowner in mind, and delivers solutions. Believe me, we had them all! In fact, he adds a level of calm and can-do attitude that is much appreciated and what would make us choose him again for any upcoming project, interior or exterior.

I have only good things to say. (1) Matt was proactive in his communications so we always felt like we knew where things stood (2) The team Matt brought together was talented, professional, and fun (3) For the inevitable bumps in the road that come with any project, Matt was calm forthright, and everything you'd expect in a partner. (4) Matt brought forward several design suggestions that were insightful and really appreciated. (5) At the end of the day, the project was delivered as expected on time and on budget, and we are super satisfied with the result. Bottomline: I'd work with Matt again in a heartbeat without reservation.
