Fraser and his Coterra Contracting team did a wonderful job for my 100 old Vancouver west house. The project was huge. They help us to renovate our house from studs. It was almost like building a new house. Due to large scale of the project itself and the pandemic, the project took quite a long time. Coterra Contracting did a large scale renovation on our East Vancouver house. We couldn't have been happier with the quality of work. professionalism and communication form Sol, Fraser and their team. The scope of the project grew during construction based on site conditions and our direction and they were very upfront about costs and timeline implications. There problem solving and advice allowed us to put the money into the areas of the project that would have the most return for us based on our vision for a house that our family would continue to grow into. As a designer I really appreciated their attention to detail and design sense - we collaborated on many of the details and finishes and the house is beautiful. Was a great job. Attention to detail and keeping me informed through the whole build. This was a complete reno redo done in an older building that had many challenges. We were extremely happy with the service provided by Fraser and Sol, and Coterra Contracting as a whole. As first time buyers embarking on an ambitious renovation project they provided the expertise, guidance and great service to ensure a smooth project and a great result. They were very clear in communicating and making sure that all our options were evaluated properly in the context of the whole project. Our renovation included a full kitchen and bathroom refurb, including plumbing, electrical and structural changes. We would recommend their services without hesitation.

We had a very tight timeline to complete a renovation when we moved into our new house as we needed to have everything complete before our son was born, and we knew from day one this would be a large project. This meant we had to put a lot of trust into our contractors, and Fraser and Sol with Coterra were there for us. They were helpful all throughout the process - making good suggestions, bringing in quality tradespeople (often on short notice), holding everyone accountable to keep on time and on budget, and providing a high standard of quality workmanship. When challenges did come up (as they inevitably do in any project), they were open and honest and helped us work through them. At the end of the day, they stood behind their word and always did what they said they were going to do, and we are very happy with the finished product!

Fraser Strachan and Conterra Contracting built a beautiful, highly-functional ramp for me from my back door to my garage, which enables me to stay in my home in spite of age-related disabilities. Fraser's knowledge, design and attention to detail is outstanding. He was able to incorporate it in with my Japanese garden . I found him to be prompt, courteous and in every way an outstanding professional.
