We have chosen David Morgan's D.R.M. Design Build for all our construction, repair, and maintenance projects for over 15 years. I would not trust the care of my 18th Century historic house to anyone else. The level of service is impeccable, and the quality of work is excellent. And best of all, the crew is like family. David Morgan is simply the BEST.

My experience with David Morgan and D.R.M. Design Build, Inc. extends over 25 years time. It has resulted in knowing one can expect the finest result in design, workmanship of his talented crew, appliance and materials consultants, subcontractors, fair value and, most importantly, an excellent working relationship. David Morgan and his crew are a joy to work with in every aspect.

David Morgan exceeded my expectations in planning and executing a very complex, " Aging in Place" renovation of an 1890 Country Colonial. David and his team were very responsive and demonstrated the highest standards of customer service and professionalism throughout our lengthy project. Our new first floor full bath is beautiful, our new first floor mudroom/ laundry room is so convenient, and our new Great Room is gorgeous. Our new garage and breezeway and back entrance are such an improvement to our home. When I come downstairs each morning and see the new part of my house, I am thrilled!

David is a brilliant designer and builder. He has made a space for our parents that is truly beautiful and perfect for them.

David has been absolutely phenomenal to work with and has been meticulous and communicative about all of our projects that we have in the queue. We have an antique 1790s home with many items for fixing, maintenance and expansion (addition design/construction, multiple painting projects, fireplace design, office construction, etc.), and David (and his DRM team) have been the perfect choice for us. We cannot recommend him enough, especially for more difficult and sophisticated design/build jobs, and are excited to have him on our team for the future!

David took a basement area and transformed it into a sun-filled, 2-bedroom, 2-bath, living room,dining room, kitchen home. Complexities were around every corner, and David and his crew mastered them. David was a vigilant overseer, getting permits, checking on the work, the workmanship, and so many details. We would recommend David to anyone who has a building project of any kind.

David and his team are skilled, professional, kind and do exactly what they say they will do, when they say they will do it. We just renovated the finished side of our basement, and David also helped with some design ideas, such as adding windows and eliminating an unnecessary closet. He is easy to communicate with and very responsive. This is the second project that we have worked together on, and I cannot recommend him enough.

Working with David and his team was one of the best decisions we made while converting our 1845 Victorian home’s basement from rock and dirt to a fully finished space. They guided us every step of the way, were meticulous about materials and finishes, and brought in only the very best subcontractors as needed. We are so happy with the finished product and would have zero reservations recommending DRM to anyone. It was a project many others told us was impossible, but DRM made it possible and delivered above our wildest expectations.

We hired DRM for a major renovation and addition project for our 1891 farmhouse. Our project included a two-story family room and master suite addition, a new three-car garage, and a complete exterior renovation, including replacing the siding, windows, historical trim work, and roofing. DRM came highly recommended from friends and they more than lived up to their reputation. The craftsmanship and quality of the work was outstanding and we are extremely happy with the results. Even more importantly, working with the DRM team was a true pleasure. They are always dedicated, professional and respectful, took great pride in their work, and communicated questions and concerns very effectively as they came up. We were able to live in our home while the work was being done, even with the whole family working or schooling from home during the pandemic. The DRM team worked hard to minimize the disruption from the construction and went out of their way to make sure things were convenient and safe for our family. David Morgan is passionate about old New England homes and did an amazing job of improving and modernizing our house while still maintaining its historical character. He really understood our objectives and took great care to deliver results that we would love. We had an very successful experience with our project, would happily hire DRM again, and enthusiastically recommend them for any project.

David Morgan at D.R.M. Design Build recently renovated our kitchen. Our home had a small, outdated kitchen and breakfast area that was not in keeping with significant updates we have made throughout the home (most constructed by DRM). David and his team helped us conceive and design a renovation plan. We stared with several different options, encompassing slightly different extents and price points, and he helped us choose the most appropriate for our needs. We worked closely with his colleague Dianne Aucello of Edesia Kitchen and Bath Studios, who assisted us not only in design, but in making cabinet, countertop and appliance cjhoices and purchases for the project. Once demolition and construction started, David handled all the details. The renovation was carried out in the midst of the Covid pandemic, and David and his team did not miss a beat. They handled difficult aspects of the project such as engineering, permitting from the town, and an unexpected break down in the home's A/C system. Ultimately the project was completed on time and according to budget. And as in any renovation project, there were minor "punch-list" issues to be attended to, which David (and Dianne) handled seamlessly. Our kitchen looks fabulous, it is a dream to occupy, and it has added to the value of our home. We will continue to refer D.R.M. to our friends and use them for our next projects.

David and his crew replaced our deck railing this fall. David has done much bigger projects for us in the past, but he and his guys bring the same professional approach to every project. They are a real pleasure to work with, and David really stands behind the quality of his work, which is always first rate.

We hired David to turn our unfinished, 100-year-old basement into a family room with bathroom and laundry area. He came highly recommended, and we couldn't be happier with the work. David is very honest, patient, and a great listener. He is sensitive to budget and willing to talk through options and solutions, while being realistic and up front about costs. He's absolutely meticulous in his work, never cuts corners and always goes the extra mile to do the job right (I have high standards, and he often noticed and fixed small flaws that even I couldn't see). He takes his time to plan well and suggest creative solutions to get the most out of the space; he is great with any project, but he especially loves old houses and historical properties. He has a team of subcontractors with whom he works consistently, and they were also uniformly polite, respectful, and did high quality work. We are thrilled with the final product.

David and crew are a team of seasoned professionals who take great pains to achieve excellence in both their workmanship and the customer experience. They are the rare type of "purist" that home owners, particularly those with antique homes, value greatly. I have used DRM for three projects. The first was the restoration of the front porch of an 1890s colonial revival. Every other contractor wanted to simply remove the old porch and build new. David was the only one who recommended a more surgical approach. This was both less expensive AND preserved and greatly improved the look and feel of the home. The second project involved replacing the clapboard siding on one side of the house, most of which was curved. Once again DRM made things "better" than new. Most recently, DRM completely a 3rd floor dormer/addition, this time to a 1904 Arts & Crafts style home. Unlike cases where dormers serve an important function, but perhaps do nothing to enhance the appearance of a house, my husband and I agree that this new dormer has made the house more beautiful. We are extremely pleased with this new office/den space, complete with fireplace and en suite bath.

We hired DRM Design Build for design and construction work related to a master bedroom suite addition. This was our second time working with David Morgan and his team and, as before, we were not disappointed. David's attention to detail is superb and everyone on the team is a true professional. Their work is outstanding and I would recommend them without hesitation.

During this time David has guided us expertly through many rennovation projects in our 275-year-old New England farmhouse. David has always given us sound, knowledgeable advice and has been able to offer creative solutions for difficult problems. Budgets and schedules have always been easy to negotiate. Not only does David provide outstanding design and building expertise, he is willling to go the extra mile for his clients. Just recently he assisted us with a complicated insurance claim and was able to successfully navigate the labyrinth of insurance company requirements on our behalf. The crew of D. R. Following a recommendation from a friend, we hired David to renovate our master suite. Our master bath was very small and outdated. We wanted a larger bathroom but did not want to sacrifice too much space in the bedroom. David was able to solve our space issue with a creative solution (modified the bedroom entrance, adding stairs), which we are very happy with! As part of the project within and outside of the master bedroom, we made some changes/upgrades including crown molding, tray ceiling, staircase ceiling height, and wallpaper removal and painting. David and his team were all professional and a pleasure to work with. My husband and I were very involved throughout the entire process. David and his team were very flexible to changes during the project and even promptly resolved a minor fix that popped up recently. We would be happy to work with DRM again!

David and his team can always be relied on to show up when they promise, and the work is always top-notch without overrun surprises and finished on time. We had planned on using a contractor recommended by the lumber yard to replace our deck in preparation for a wedding, but when they backed out, we needed someone quickly. Having worked with David twice previously, we were worried that he would not be available, but he was able to get in and get done despite the very short window of time. He was able to address the septic tank proximity to the BOH's satisfaction, a condition that scared off two other contractors. I highly recommend David Morgan for any type of home improvement project.

It has been a true pleasure working with D.R.M. Design Build on our renovation projects. We initially worked with D.R.M. on a small project in our family room, and ultimately hired David and his team for a large-scale renovation that included a master suite addition, the renovation of 3 existing bathrooms and significant exterior updating. We came in with a strong vision for the desired outcome, and David and his team helped us shape that into something better than we ever imagined. They brought great design ideas, acted as a nice sounding board for our ideas, and kept us honest with respect to budget. We have worked with David Morgan of DRM Design Build, Inc. and his team for 2 years now. We initially hired him to finish our 1500 square foot basement, which now includes a kids playroom, full bathroom, office, wine bar, exercise room and fireplace surrounded by built-in cabinetry. In addition to this project, he remodeled our kitchen and a bathroom and created a mudroom for us. We initially chose David because he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsive. With a large open space to work with, we worked closely to design a basement space that was both functional yet sophisticated. From the beginning, David clearly laid out the scope, budget and timeline of the project, all of which he stuck to. David really listened to our needs and concerns and provided a good sounding board for any questions we had (and there were lots), always getting back to us promptly as well as providing good advice and coming up with unique solutions if necessary. The team's attention to detail and professionalism is outstanding and David has a great interior design sense as well. In addition to the basement, David and his team remodeled our kitchen, giving it a more modern and fresh look. I could not be happier with the result and the process. Over the course of seven months, we grew to know David and his entire team very well. They are all extremely professional, reliable and, most importantly, honest and courteous. The team also uses sub-contractors that have same qualities - we have used several of them since for other stand-alone projects. And the quality and craftsmanship of the work are unparalleled. Remodeling can be stressful, but the entire team was very helpful in guiding us through out the whole process. It makes it so much easier when you are working with someone you trust who really takes the time to get to know you and your design taste. The service, integrity and responsiveness of David and his team is consistently outstanding and the billing and budget management is extremely fair and timely. They really care about their clients and their work and it shows - the finished product has always exceeded our expectations. Anytime we have an issue at the house, David is the first person we call and even if he is extremely busy he still finds the time to help us out. During my initial meeting with David Morgan of DRM Design Build, Inc, I quickly realized he possessed the high level of expertise and integrity that can be difficult to find in a builder. Although he was quite busy on other projects at the time, he put a lot of time and thought into designing an amazing in-law apartment for my mom. I felt fully confident in hiring him to complete the construction. There were many challenges with this particular project, including a notoriously difficult town approval process, code violations from the previous builder, an existing unusual layout, the need for accommodations for multiple disabilities and the typical "champagne taste, beer budget" client. Despite these challenges, David was dedicated to getting this project done, and getting it done right. There a few things that stand out about the kind of builder David is, that I feel are unique. He acted as a strong advocate for us in regards to the town and existing code violations, educating us about the violations and helping us find solutions, even when he could have continued the job without doing so. David is honest, even extending his builder discount to us and crediting returned materials to us when he could have just increased his own profit. He was constantly trying to find ways to save us money, while still getting high quality materials and construction. One thing that really stands out about David is his easy-going nature. Whenever I changed my mind, was being picky or presented him with another detail he had to deal with, his response was always positive and professional. I would highly recommend David. He is a talented designer with a great eye and attention to detail. He is organized and adheres to timeline, and is able to work around any bumps in the road to make sure progress is constantly being achieved. His team of employees and preferred subcontractors are courteous and professional, and work hard to minimize any inconvenience to the homeowner and mess left behind. We are extremely happy with the beautiful and functional new space David created, and feel it is above and beyond all our expectations.

Working with David Morgan, DRM Design, was a positive experience in every respect. Damaged deck and badly weathered cedar shingles were the presenting issues. David was thoughtful, creative and helpful in coming up with a plan (design, materials). The end result was remarkable thanks to his advice and the skill and capabilities of his group. I noted that all of the guys who worked on our house have worked for David for a long time. That told me that they were good carpenters and that David was a good person to work for. It was no surprise therefore when the finished product was of such high quality and workmanship. If you want a firm you can trust to do the job well, you will not go wrong with DRM Design.

David Morgan of D.R.M.Design and his crew were wonderful to work with. He had creative ideas to fix our water damaged home. For example, instead of taking down our plaster walls, as one contractor had suggested, he took off the siding and worked from the outside in, thereby saving our interior walls. His crew were always on time, cleaned up their debris every evening, were diligent and professional. David frequently checked with them throughout their time with us. He also met with us to discuss plans and payment and was always pleasant and forthcoming. We throughly enjoyed our experience working with David and his company and would definitely use him again.

DRM Design build was a pleasure to work with. Their professional knowledge was exceptional, always making spot on suggestions which vastly improved our overall design. The crew was extremely respectful and went out of their way to make sure everything was neat and cleaned up before they left each day. All deadlines and budgets were met without any hitches. I highly recommend using this company for any remodeling projects!

David and his team remodeled our sun room this past spring. The room was in such bad shape that they ended up basically building it from scratch, and yet they still finished in time for our hard deadline, which was the due date of our first baby! (she came 1 day early!) David was very responsive and detailed oriented. We received a detail floor plan, and timeline that was very helpful when we were purchasing furniture for the room. He was also very respectful of our budget. His team was also great! They showed up at 7:00 am on the dot every day. Both me and my husband were working full time, and when we would come home from work, you would never even know they were there, except for the great progress they would make every day. We liked them so much we recommended them to my sister who just had their kitchen remodeled this past fall. They did an excellent job for them as well! We can't wait to use David and his team for our next project!

The time had come to undertake a major kitchen remodel and one our largest fears was finding the right company for the project. Luckily we were put in touch with David at DRM design and our search was over. We truly appreciated David's consultative approach to our project and recommendations based on his years of experience and understanding of our end goals. We were also able to work with DRM's kitchen designer who has some excellent recommendations. A full scope of work was delivered and we were able to get underway in a short time. The DRM team that did the core work of the job was always on time, courteous, and great at getting out feedback on any little decisions or modifications. All of the other speciality contractors like the electrician were up to speed and knew exactly what they needed to do based on our SOW. Overall the project was a huge success. In addition to the amazing craftsmanship and quality of the work that was done, we finished up on the original project schedule and budget. I would highly recommend looking at DRM for any considerable project that requires and experienced design build firm that is focused on quality and the overall homeowner's experience.

My husband and I hired David to remodel our kitchen from a recommendation from my sister. He worked with us to put together many different designs and proposals to fit our budget. His whole team were very professional and the entire kitchen was finished in just about a month!! We love our new kitchen and the beautiful work David and his team did.

DRM turned our unfinished attic space into a beautiful and functional work and living space. They were attentive, patient, flexible and above all else did an absolutely beautiful job! We couldn't be happier with the end result and our decision to choose DRM.

This is a testament to the fine work of David Morgan of DRM Design Build. Working within the confines of zoning restrictions on a corner lot house, David transformed a three bedroom house with a separate one-car garage into a four bedroom house with an attached two-car garage and did so in a manner with such care that the addition appears to have always been part of the house. His work is truly first class and we highly recommend him. He was consistently attentive to details. He and his workmen were always courteous.

My wife and I hired David to redesign a "bonus" room we had above our garage into a master suite. We had about 500 square feet of essentially wasted space in our house that we wanted to make more practical. David built a full walk-in-closet, double vanity bathroom with stand up shower, and master bedroom, all within the confines of a cape style house with difficult eaves to work around. We've been living in the completed space for the past 6 months and I can say it was the best money I've ever spent. I think the best way to describe the level of craftsmanship was that when it was finished the room looked more like it belonged in a magazine than our house. The finish was impeccable, and we have had zero issues with any of the construction. All of David's contractors were extremely polite and professional. They always made sure that the construction zone of the house was completely blocked off from the rest of the house (including taping any door seams such that no dust got into the rest of the house). Also, I think it's important to highlight that my wife felt very comfortable with the workers in the house when she was alone. Our original plan moving into this house was to stay here for 5-7 years, but I can honestly say that I think we've extended that much further. I've never been in a house that has the quality of master retreat that we have in our house and being in the room actually makes me a happier person!. I have zero worries about being able to sell the house when/if we do decide to do so as this will be the defining characteristic for our house.

David and his team at D.R.M. are true professionals. The preliminary, computer generated designs first helped us visualize the project. That's what sold us! Once hired, the team showed up every day exactly at the designated start time and worked through the day with great efficiency. The crew was capable and courteous. They even set up a microwave and portable restroom outside so they wouldn't disturb us during construction (in the middle of a very cold, snowy winter!). All work was completed on time and on budget. They cleaned up after themselves and all facets of the project were completed to our satisfaction. And as with any major project, there will be minor issues. However, David addressed every issue that was pointed out and with a great attitude. We get compliments all the time on the work, especially on the little touches that we would never have thought of.

David and his crew rebuilt our front steps, built out a portico and installed a bluestone walk. The workmanship was top notch and his crew were all professional. He worked seamlessly with our landscape architect and other contractors to deliver a final product that exceeded our high expectations. I'd recommend DRM without hesitation.

David Morgan has done several signficant projects for me over the last 5 years, including rebuilding my back deck (he built the original as well), insulating my attic with Icynene (foam applied to the underside) of my roof to resolve ice dams, exterior painting and roof replacement. Both David and his crew are responsive and professional. We have been highly satsified with his work and intend to use him for more work in the future. I absolutely recommend David and his team.

We hired David to renovate our kitchen last spring and are very pleased with the outcome of the project. His crew was fantastic at tackling the challenges that come with remodeling an old home and orchestrating the entire process. David and his entire crew is a great bunch and do fantastic work.

DRM designed and built an extensive deck project at our 100 year old home. The project included replacing two windows with new French doors, building out the deck, adding built in benches and planter boxes and significant guidance to landscape work surrounding the project to ensure it fit in to the yard. DRM -- led by David Morgan -- did an excellent job, we are extremely satisfied with the work. They are on time and on cost. The best part is their attention to detail. With this being a 100 year old Victorian, DRM took the time to match e.g., new door times with turn of the century trims from the house. Every detail was attended too. When you look at the deck and new doors you assume they've always been a part of the house. They fit. And that was the goal.

Complete kitchen and family room remodel from the studs up. High end craftsmanship and very high quality finished product. Project was finished on time and fully met initial expectations.

I first hired David in 2011 for a major attic conversion and have happily re-hired him for two subsequent home improvements in 2012 and '13. He and his team have been a pleasure to work with on each. I have found David to be exceptionally trustworthy and honest and he surrounds himself with like-minded professionals who are respectful and courteous. My wife and kids were very at ease with them in our home. Our kids were sorry to see them go and still remember each member of the DRM team by name. Whatever the project size, David's creativity and design skills really come through. He was able to create a bathroom design that maximized space and light, creating a visually interesting space that feels much larger than I ever thought possible. Finish carpentry, tile, stone and plaster workmanship are all first rate. Lastly, I have been impressed by David's follow-up, making sure that we are happy with his work, months and years later. We were introduced to David and his crew by the realtor, Alex Frisch, who sold us our 1950's style ranch home back in 1998. In 2004 we added a master suite and 2nd full bathroom that David designed and his team built. Since then we've hire David and his team for various projects. The most recent project was a total renovation of the original main bathroom on the first floor of our home. I contacted David and another contractor for a quote on a Thursday. David called and came to the house and provided a quote within 24 hours. The other contractor never returned my call. Work started on Monday and was complete within 5 weeks.

We have an 1820's house that has been move, renovated, lovingly restored with added traditional barns as as architecturally and era appropriate living space. David has as team has been thrown every curveball imaginable in our efforts to create a beautiful home. The great thing David and his team is not only is the work done to a wonderful standard but that the projects themselves have been often out of the ordinary and has required skill, imagination and pride to create solutions to these challenges. We highly recumbent David and his team. They are great guys to work with. With regard to the start date and costs - this was a series of different projects that varied in scope and scale over a long period - we turned to David again and again as we worked on this multi year project.

I have employed David Morgan and his firm D.R.M. Design repeatedly over the last five years on jobs on my home that have ranged from optional to emergencies. He has overseen the replacement of my hardwood flooring with interior detailing, finishing my basement, installing a gym, interior and exterior painting, the replacement of a leaking roof and skylight, refinishing my deck, emergency repairs to the house structure in the wake of the 2011 hurricance, and most recently the conversion of my home from oil to natural gas heating. Four words together describe his approach to these jobs: expert, responsive, responsible, and trustworthy. His work is always first rate, and therefore economical. He responds immediately to any concern I might have, and takes responsiblity for making the work right. And he has my trust, so that I can grant him access to my home if need be; I do not need to be there for work to be accomplished, and I know he will take personal responsiblity to see that it is done right. I will continue to use D.R.M. Design for future home repair and remodeling, and have no hesitation recommending David's company in the most postiitve terms. He is simply outstanding.

DRM Design built for us both a deck and a fence. Our fence was a challenge. We needed an especially tall fence - ten feet. Every other contractor we spoke to said it could not be done. Such a tall fence, they said, would not be stable. But David from DRM rose to the challenge and designed the perfect solution. He acquired 13 foot steel girders, sunk three feet of them in cement, and then wrapped the ten feet above ground in beautiful natural cedar wood. The result is awesome. It is a joy to behold. It is beautiful, and also strong - a hurricane may come and blow our house away, but not that fence. The deck is also beautiful! David runs a high class company. His workers are all very talented. They are the best at what they do. And also they were always friendly and polite, even when we got in their way.

David was referred to us by my sister after he completed a wonderful renovation of their house. David was great to work with all the way from concept and design through completion of our screened-in porch. David was very flexible when we decided part way through that we wanted to add a fireplace to the project. His team is very respectful, neat and professional. The best thing about DRM is the quality and workmanship that goes into each project. Our porch is the envy of the neighborhood and we use it all the time. Thanks David!!

I first met David and his crew about twelve years ago when they were building a ramp for one of my students who, due to his disability, used a wheelchair. His family had purchased an affordable condo that wasn’t wheelchair accessible. David was able to build this ramp with donated materials and labor free of charge. My student and his family, who were on a limited budget, were quite grateful. I was impressed with the design and quality of craftsmanship. I remember visiting the site late one afternoon around 5:30. It was getting dark and cold and David’s team was still working. When I asked them why they were still there so late, they said that David wanted the work area to be cleaned every night before they left and that’s exactly what they were doing! The ramp project was completed in a timely fashion while meeting all local building requirements. I told my wife if we ever needed a contractor we should hire David and his crew. Now, many years later, we are about to embark on our fifth project with David and his team. Needless to say, we were so pleased with the last four that it was an easy decision to make. There are many contractors our there, DRM Design Build is ours.

David and his team have done a number of projects at our house, including renovation and expansion of several baths, partial renovation of our kitchen, and building a new patio and pergola in our backyard. During the design phase, David was easy to work with and delivered plans on time and with a level of detail that we could easily envision the final product. David was also able to itemize his cost proposal so that we could incorporate cost considerations into our final design decisions (it takes an experienced contractor to do this accurately). During the construction, David and his crew were outstanding, making every effort to minimize the impact on our family throughout several complex projects. David's crew were uniformly pleasant, respectful, and efficient while delivering top-quality work. Communication during the project was never a problem, as both David and his crew were amazingly responsive to any questions or concerns that arose. Like his crew, all of the subcontractors David brought into the project were excellent, and David did an impressive job of coordinating the various moving parts and making sure the work was done to the highest standard. While the design/build aspect of David's company simplified matching the planning of the interior projects to the end product, the outdoor project required a landscape architect. The architect David suggested was also outstanding, and DRM's execution of that project demonstrated their ability to implement designs from other sources equally well as their own. Most amazingly given the complexity of several of our projects, David's cost estimates were very accurate, and where there were deviations from the budget, David was very clear about the reasons. We would highly recommend DRM Design Build to anyone. Their work on our house was simply outstanding.

David and his crew have now executed 3 substantial projects at our house. This last project was finishing a basement they originally built unfinished 8 years ago.
