Double J Construction Inc had been recommended to us by a family member who had a very positive experience. We needed a contractor to completely update our main floor bathroom and met with a few contractors including Jim (Sensitive Information Hidden), of Double J Construction. We chose Double J for multiple reasons: 1. We greatly appreciated Jim's approach to scheduling - helping us know the exact beginning of the project and, more crucially, when it would be finished. 2. His bids were communicated well and were reasonable and competitive. 3. We had heard that the sub contractors he used were very thorough, cleaned up each day, and were nice folks to be around in one's home - and this was our experience as well! The whole process went very smoothly because of Jim's attention to detail and excellent communication. We would definitely use Double J again for any additional remodeling projects! O &M Ross

Key strengths: Timely, detail oriented, quality work! Will use this contractor again!! Jim of Double J was the general contractor for the update on our 1963 daylight basement. Work included removing electric baseboard heaters, extensive wall board repair (due to the baseboard removal, a re-pipe of all three of our bathrooms and removal of two wooden paneled walls), tile repair in the master bath due to the re-pipe, installing a new luxury vinyl plank (LVP) floor, and removing and reinstalling all original baseboards (which included integrating reused baseboard from our upstairs). Due to the age of our home, we have un-textured walls, old mahogany baseboards, and a large square footage to be covered (about 1,500 square feet). Jim and his subcontractors did an outstanding job on repairing all wall board, installing new wallboard, retiling as needed, patching together and installing the old wooden baseboards and laying the new LVP floor. Jim patiently answered our questions, provided a construction schedule, brought in excellent sub-contractors as needed, met all deadlines or explained any delays, and all workers cleaned up after themselves each day. We highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again.

We hired Jim at Double J to remodel our bathroom. This involved relocating and installing a new bathtub with new plumbing. We also removed windows and replaced them with french doors. Jim was professional and very easy to work with. His does quality work and is very thorough. He's also an excellent communicator. We never had to send an email or call him...he was always on top of things and contacted us in advance when there was a decision to be made. He guided us through the process, stuck to the timeline, and didn't go over budget. His quotes are itemized, and there are no surprises. Jim managed the job and the subcontractors. All we had to do was pick out what we wanted at the stores he sent us to and he made everything else happen. We are very grateful for his help and work ethic. Will definitely hire Double J again for any other projects.

We recently had dry rot in our master bathroom. Double J Construction did an excellent repair job. Jim was very professional and communicated very well. We would not hesitate to hire him again and would recommend him to anyone.

Double J Construction did a terrific job on our garage addition. Jim kept us up to date on all information with the project at all times. He was courteous, cleaned up the job site daily and had a great eye for detail. We would recommend Double J Construction without hesitation.

Jim Horn did a great job, as always. He found a leak we were having around one of our windows. He replaced the damaged trim and got everything sealed up. We had a rain storm the next day and no more leaks! We have become regular customers because of the expertise and professionalism Jim shows in everything he does.

Double J Construction recently remodeled two of our bathrooms, new flooring, cabinets and countertops, paint and fixtures. The work was handled in a timely manner with as little disruption to the use of the area as possible. Jim made sure all work was of the highest quality and consistency. We have been very pleased with the results.

Double J. Construction completed a 10'x20' wood frame outbuilding for us. Its on a concrete slab, with electric lights and outlets. The interior walls & ceiling are insulated and covered with sheetrock. We are extremely pleased with Double J and their finished product. They were professional throughout the project, and the workmanship is exceptional. Furthermore, they finished on schedule in spite of being hampered by inclement weather. They were pleasant to work with, as were all of their subcontractors. We have no hesitation in using them again on future projects, and will highly recommend them to others.

I was very impressed with the clarity of job description, costs, and timeline. Everything was laid out clearly and all my questions answered quickly. Job even finished ahead of schedule! I will definitely be using them again.
