Building a home on Nantucket can have its challenges. Working with Dreamline was nothing short of a Dream. The house far exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience with Dreamline Modular Homes (DMH). We have a quality built, custom home that came in on budget and schedule. Our home received the 2019 Modular Home Year Award for design - kudos to DMH. We saved about 6+ months by going modular (vs. stick built) and we built our home remotely (1800 miles away) with only 2 trips during construction (thanks to the power of good planning & communication via phone and internet). Kris and Doug received college degrees in construction and since have built more than 225 modular houses in New England since 2010. They are both knowledgeable, highly skilled, professional, and customer focused. It was a pleasure dealing with the DMH team from the planning stage, during permitting, and throughout construction. They offered many great ideas that improved our home and in some cases, saved us money. As this is our retirement home and we had many concrete ideas and decisions, the effort involved many details (from custom trim and paint schemes to placement of light switches). We live in Connecticut and finally paid off a piece of property we purchased in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, when we initially previewed a home in Truro built by Dreamline Modular Homes, who came highly recommended to us by a lender we were working with to finance the construction our retirement home. Two years later we are the proud owners of a beautifully designed, well constructed home, delivered on time, right on budget, with outstanding craftsmanship. The Dreamline team took our every question and concern seriously along the way and continues to do so, quickly and professionally responding to any punch-list items under our home warranty. Needless to say, we are astonished at what was accomplished while we continued to live and work in Connecticut, spending 98% of our time off-site - from excavation to delivery we completely trusted the Dreamline team to build our home and love the result. We highly recommend Dreamline to anyone considering building a new home and suggest you start like we did - go preview one of their homes!

I initially met with Michelle Glover in April 2017; after many discussions and 3-4 meeting the last of which took place on my birthday when I went to her office with my wife and spent 2 hours selecting finishes for my house, I informed her I would like to move forward. I asked her to send me any documents that needed to be signed; she instructed me that nothing needed to be signed on my end and she would order the state documents required to move forward. We had a build date of February 2018. Although I was prepared to move forward, I did have some concerns about the house plan she developed it did not have a front entry and had two doors virtually right next to each other on the side of the house. I reached out to her in January to make adjustments to the plan and provided her with a plan that I thought would be a better fit. Michelle informed me that she would get back to me. However, I did not hear from her again after that. February came and went without any building taking place, so in April I decided to reach out to Michelle to see what had transpired. She attempted to brush me off based on a budget when that was not an issue, I explained to her the problem, which was my dissatisfaction with the design, I wrote this in an email which was professional and contained no personal attacks. Instead of addressing my concerns Michelle responded that she had left work that day crying because of my email, this I felt was a deflection so that her lack of follow through, dishonesty, and general lack of competence in her job would go unnoticed and instead she would be viewed as a victim. The next interaction I had with Dreamline was with Kris, who sent me an email that did not address any concerns, and accepted zero accountability for any of the things that transpired. I called Kris, and he began laughing at me because I stated I would proceed with legal action, he had zero interest in resolving the issues, and once again took no accountability for anything. Dreamline Homes wasted 12 months of my time and did nothing to compensate me or for that matter never even apologized. I strongly suggest that anyone looking for a builder use an other company rather than risk a year of their life being wasted. I have decided I am not going to pursue legal action at this time, but I would feel negligent to allow anyone else to experience the situation I did without warning. Therefore, I want to reiterate, Dreamline is not a company that anyone who values time, honesty, and accountability should do business with a different builder, and whatever response they provide to this review has no baring on the outcome that they committed to building a house in November 2017 and it is now May 2018 and I am searching for a new builder who will actually show up. Do not make the same mistake I did.

We worked with Dreamline Modular on a demolition and rebuild for a 4000 sq feet central entrance colonial home. From the get go, they did a great job. It has been a year, and even their after sales service around getting work done has been exemplary. Even as they have been busy with ongoing projects , Doug has always taken the time to coordinate the work needed post the one year stay. I am impressed with their dedication and integrity, and wish their business well.

Dreamline built us a beautiful modular a couple years ago and I can now highly recommend them! We did our homework--we consulted a handful of builders after researching modular homes for several months and were glad to have persevered and found a good group in Dreamline. They know what they're doing, are very competent, talented builders who care about completing their projects in a timely way. Most importantly they really do care that their client is happy with the end result. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and may do so in the next few or so. Best of luck to you!

We have just built a wonderful new home with Dreamline - and I cannot recommend them enough! From our very first meeting, to the handing over of the keys, the whole process was wonderful! Doug and Kris, the two owners are the ultimate professionals - they were fantastic to work with - and could not have been more helpful. I have nothing but good, no, great, things to say about Dreamline Modular. From the beginning to the end they made it nothing but easy & enjoyable to build our dream home. They listened to us and guided us in the right direction to get exactly what we dreamed of. Kris & Doug and the entire crew were very attentive to our needs, answered our questions, and made building a house seem very easy. They took care of all of the work, from excavation to the final button up work. All we had to do was pick out the elements that made our home distinct & truly ours. We are happy & sad that the house is now done...we dont get to work with them every day any more. :( I really recommend you call them.
