I purchased a home from this company-
Project Date
May 2017
Project Price

Hold onto your wallet, as you will be paying for their mistakes, both on the construction of the home, as well as their manipulation of the HOA.
They created HOA fines out of thin air to steal homeowner's hard earned money in order to pay legal fees for the builder's OWN lawyer over a matter concerning several residents.
From inadequate sump pits, to glued-on exterior parts of door frames which fall off, to partial radon systems improperly installed, to failure to disclose previous conditional arrangements with a municipality, to yards which would require tens of thousands of dollars to make soil suitable for planting, get ready to pay for the TEAM's mistakes-hey, they think you should be grateful, it says so on their website.
Builder's representative, (who is pictured here on EG's page, far right) also suggested they would not perform work or approve safety railing until homeowner re-planted trees and landscaping in some form, one year after they had used builder's attorney to force the same trees to be cut down.
They have exhibited a consistent pattern of extortionate behavior towards homebuyers.
It is impossible to reconcile their claims on their website which state "We don’t just build homes—we build relationships", with the contemptuous, unscrupulous, and tone-deaf attitude towards the customer's needs which they have exhibited.

My basement was remodeled and a fantastic job was completed based on a large part of the expertise of EG Stoltzfus. Recommendations and options I had not considered greatly enhanced the final project and I highly recommend EGStoltzfus not only because they are an excellent contractor but they really do a great job of listening to your request and making your project exceed your expectations.

We worked with EG on a major home remodel which included kitchen, bathroom, relocating a powder room, adding support beams, removing walls and changing a formal living room into a laundry/mudroom. We started working on a proposal/design with Andy Lebo in the Fall and the project was ready to get started by January. We met with three local home builders (Metzler, Garman and EG) for the project and while the prices were all around the same, EG made us feel the most comfortable. Andy is very detailed and wanted to understand what we want while also guiding and directing us into a plan that would work best for our home and lifestyle. Everything was laid out for us in an easy to follow schedule after the design was decided. I met with flooring, kitchen, lighting and bathroom fixture vendors and chose what I wanted with 2-3 weeks after design. Andy sent our specs to the vendors and they were able to guide me to what we needed and from there, I could pick and choose based on personal preferences (tile, countertops, cabinet colors, floors). The project then began end of January and everything was scheduled so that they would be finished end of March and they were finished right on time. We received a detailed scheduled at the beginning listing what was going on every day through the renovation. The most impressive thing was that the schedule never changed. Everything was on time. We moved out of the house so that we could avoid the frustration of living through a renovation. We love our "new" home. It is functional and beautiful. I love cooking in my new kitchen. I love the mudroom with the cubbies. We now have a place for everything and it feels so much more organized. I recommend EG highly!

We had an excellent experience with all the crew and staff of EGStoltzfus. Work was done well and on time. Everyone that was in our home and worked directly with us were professional and trust worthy. All of the contractors were polite and clean, and respected the home while they worked. Any issues that we had, were immediately addressed to our satisfaction.

We engaged EGStoltzfus to design and build a custom home in early 2016 and the experience was very good. They are very customer focused and listened to our input and, for lack of any better way to put it, they just feel trustworthy and honest and that's a good thing when you entrust a company to build your home. They provided what we think was fair (but not exactly transparent) pricing and made good recommendations on ways to give us a lot of what we wanted without blowing our budget. As with any custom home, there were hiccups during construction but EG was always on our side and clearly had the leverage over their sub-contractors to make them satisfy our concerns. In a few cases EG could have just told us that the work was done adequately, but they wanted it to be done well. This gave us a lot of confidence in the company. There was never any pushback on us when we questioned anything or wanted something touched up or re-done. Our contact at EG was very responsive and we really enjoyed working with him. The only criticisms we have are that their design tools are very "old school" we felt like it was asking a lot just to see a revised rendering of the exterior of the house when we had selected our finishing's. There were no high quality 3D renderings, no interior design views, no consultant to help us select things, you are pretty much on your own trying to visualize every aspect of the design. In 2016, and at our price point, we expected something more advanced than a few hand-held samples of siding, shingles, stone, floor, etc. and one rough cartoon color rendering of the front of the house. But, to their credit, it came together in the end and we are pleased with the product. We have followed up with a few things after moving in and they continue to be responsive which is a sign of a quality builder and an all around good company. We recommend EG to anyone planning to build.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and highlighting your positive experiences with our company, particularly in regards to your interactions with your project manager and our ongoing customer service. We appreciate all feedback and value the unique perspective that our homeowners can provide. Here at EGStoltzfus, we are continuously striving to incorporate more of the computerized models into our Custom Home building process. We truly understand how important the visual aspect is when designing a new home and are working to make what we offer more visually sophisticated while still being able to provide a budget-conscious finished product. Included are some examples of our current projects where we are using computer modeling.
