It has been a pleasure working with English Enterprises. The first project LaShawn and her team completed for me was rescuing a failing rental property a few years ago. She managed everything from renovations to listing and showing the property, to securing tenants above market value. Naturally, she was my first call when I needed to renovate a small kitchen at another property. She transformed a dark, outdated kitchen with a very modest footprint, no windows, poor workmanship and old plumbing and electrical, into a bright, modern space. LaShawn's combination of real estate savvy, general contracting knowledge, and tasteful esthetics is the triple threat of home improvement/renovation services. This sets her apart because she always considered my goals and put decisions in context of what I wanted to accomplish, not just budget or design elements. Her top notch professionalism and eye for detail kept my project on track in both budget and timing. She studies the project details (and possibilities) and anticipates what is "unseen" rather than low balling to get business then increase the price due to "unforeseen circumstances." LaShawn always has reasonable options and effective solutions for every question/challenge. Also, clients expect to be given the same attention whether a small scale project or a six figure one, but I have first hand experience that this is not always the case. However, LaShawn's integrity and flexibility is notable, especially in her customer service. She had other large projects running at the same time as my small kitchen renovation but promptly returned every call, took the time to listen and guide me through all the decisions I needed to make, went the extra mile to seek out and secure alternate suppliers to meet my needs, and showed up on site whenever I asked. In addition to her expertise, the fact that she is patient and pleasant to work with will keep me coming back and recommending English Enterprises to others.

In the summer of 2022, LaShawn English and her contractors gutted and remodeled the first level of our house - the sunroom, living room, dining room, family room, kitchen, powder room, office, foyer, and upstairs hallway. The place looks like an HDTV job...it looks nothing like the original house. The effect is a "WOW!". I have been getting constant requests from neighbors to view the finished product. It's simply stunning! Her design ability and creativity are unmatched. I value her attention to fine details when selecting items as simple as hinges and door knobs to high-end lighting, furniture, and decorations. She is particularly meticulous and a perfectionist to the core. She managed the project with precision - controlling costs, schedule, and resources to ensure we came within a reasonable budget for the massive remodeling project. I trusted and entrusted her with all aspects of the remodeling from the onset, as it became clear that she was in control of the effort. She is highly adept and good at what she does. We are already drawing up plans for renovating the basement and bedrooms. Thank you, LaShawn!

From beginning to end working with LaShawn was a great experience. She and her team have a very good attention to detail and also provide honest feedback regarding design ideas. English Enterprises was very professional and completed my project (walkway from the side of my house to my backdoor) within the suggested timeframe. The price was comparable and affordable. I will call them first for my future home projects.
