Epic Development

We purchased a new construction house from Epic Development. The design and craftsmanship was outstanding. The house was the Modern Prairie Frank Lloyd Wright design. I feel they really took the time to make this house special. We have had multiple people comment on the quality and design. Epic was very easy to work with during the process. The house was probably 90% complete when we went under contract. Just prior to closing, there was some confusion on whether a refrigerator was part of the package. My wife and I were under the impression it was. Although not part of their standard package, Epic provided a refrigerator without question. They replied we want a happy customer at closing. During the 45 day post closing punch list, they were very easy to work with as well. We only had a few minor follow up items, but they completed them in a timely fashion and followed up afterwards to make sure no issues. During the entire process, I found Epic and its employees to be very professional and customer centric in their approach. Everything was about making sure I was a happy customer at the end of the day. That is very important and something that I greatly appreciated.

We worked with Epic Development for a few months as we purchased one of their spec houses in Atlanta earlier this year. We're thrilled with the quality of the home and enjoyed our interactions with the company. L. Green

Epic built a solid house that is just right for a family of four (including two growing boys). What impressed me most about Epic was the company's willingness to work with us in the final days before the house was complete. We asked for, and received, a driveway that was not in the initial specs. We asked for, and received, crown molding in the downstairs area -- again, something Epic added as a no-cost extra. What impressed me most, though, is the company's willingness to take down two trees that were dying when we bought the house. These were big trees; I have no doubt their removal was a big cost. And then, when I voiced concerns about the replacement trees, Epic responded by planting two surprisingly mature hardwoods -- not the saplings I envisioned. In short, we like our house, and we like Epic.

We love our Epic house! We have been in the newly built house about a year and a half, and everything is working beautifully. Epic worked with us on adding many extras to house and allowing changes to design choices. They were wonderful in following up on our one-year warranty. As first time home owners, much less home-builders, we do not have much with which to compare our experience. However, with all of the horror stories you hear about people having when building a house, I don't think we could have been any luckier. Epic produces a beautiful product and they take pride in what they build. I would highly recommend working with them.

We recently purchased a custom home that was designed and built by Epic Development. The entire team at Epic was amazing to work with from the front office, sales, architects, to the design team. The communication during the entire process was great and the house was completed on time. Epic was flexible during the process as we made several changes to the design and it did not delay our completion date. Our home is now one of the favorites in the neighborhood which is now one of the most sought after areas to live in Atlanta. Most recently Epic won a design award for our house as well. If we decided to build again we would definitely go to Epic Development!

My home was a1940 bungalow with some poorly done additions from the 60's and 70's. It was totally updated in 2012 by Epic Development and their contractors. The house was taken down to the studs rewired,re-plumbed and a new high efficiency HVAC system was installed. Also installed was a 2000 watt whole house sound/video system and a 7.1 surround system installed in the new family room. Tray ceilings in the formal living room and master bedroom were added to overcome the low 8' ceiling effect. Very low ceilings in the sun room and master bath were raised eliminating shed roofs on the exterior. A contemporary travertine fireplace wall with a recessed lighted niche was designed to display favorite pieces of art in the Living room. A very small kitchen and master bath was enlarged and modernized. Custom cabinetry and granite was also added in the kitchen and both baths. Extensive detailed crown molding was also added throughout the house. The whole house was made thoroughly energy efficient with the new insulated windows and doors through out and with the insulation in the walls and ceilings.(None of this was done when the house was built in the 40's) The addition added to the front porch from the 60's was replaced with a new rocking chair flag stone one. Stack stone also now compliments the new front entry. A narrow one car garage,poorly placed was removed and replaced by a spacious 2 car garage and relocated in the back of the house with still keeping the large private deep lawn. The front and back was regraded and re-sodded with other new landscaping added. Epic Development and their skilled contractors worked seamlessly with me and my designer through out the renovation process. Even allowing me to make changes along the way. The final results yielded a charming,sophisticated,unpretentious and extremely comfortable home. I could not have asked for a more experienced team! Michael Horton /Gene McIntosh
