Recently, I hired Patrick to design and complete a build-out and closet system for my home. He is, by far, one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. His design esthetic, craftsmanship, communication style, and attention to detail, is unsurpassed. Patrick can think "outside the box" when needed and his work is impeccable. Any renovation is usually a stressful process but Patrick's design style and work ethic made my project easy and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I highly recommend Patrick and will use his services once again, whenever needed. Bravo!!

Patrick was excellent! The project took longer than anticipated, but that was no fault of Patrick's. It was during Covid, so materials and labor were unpredictable, and the city building department and inspectors were also not as efficient as one would hope. We did a full gut - down to the studs. Project included new flooring, new plumbing, electrical work (low and std. voltage), new HVAC. After the drywall went up, there were new doors throughout, new kitchen cabinets, new bathroom fixtures, and so on. On the exterior, a new waterline was brought in from the curb, replaced concrete sidewalks, new stucco on the exterior, fresh coat of paint on everything that hadn't been replaced. We weren't on-site for the majority of the job, so we left many decisions in Patrick's capable hands, and he did not disappoint. We are very discerning and detail-oriented (others might say picky / fussy) but Patrick handled all our issues, questions, requests, with patience and good humor. I would not hesitate to use him again.

I interviewed 3 contractors about 6-8 months before I wanted to start my remodel job - in the summer/fall of 2021, when it was REALLY hard to find contractors who were available. Initially, Patrick said he couldn't do my job, but I liked his style and references and so waited until he COULD do my work - and I am SO glad I did. Patrick is calm, responsive, easy to work with and has high standards - and the quality of his work reflects all of that. I had worked with a designer, so had plans, but Patrick's suggestions about "fixes" as things went along were always welcome. The project was redoing two bathrooms (main and guest - circa 1972) and refreshing a kitchen (new backsplash, countertops, hood and sink). I can't say enough about him - good person and talented professional. I am grateful to have worked with him.

We started our project in June 2021. Patrick was very professional and attentive throughout the entire project; offered many constructive suggestions and demonstrated a keen design perspective to our liking. He worked independently and alongside subcontractors to ensure steady progress and completion on schedule. Patrick was always available anytime to answer our questions concerning the total house remodel project. He responded quickly to our text and telephone messages resolving issues that arose. Even after completion, he is still readily available to answer our questions. We are so happy with his work, knowledge and expertise. We would not hesitate to hire him again in the future and we would highly recommend him to others.

My husband and I purchased a 1880 cottage in Massachusetts that Patrick Farrar renovated for us. All walls were taken down to the studs with exception of one bedroom and bathroom. Patrick reinforced the walls, insulated them and installed shiplap throughout our home. He installed bathroom fixtures, new flooring on the enclosed porch, the dining area, bedroom, and bathroom. He installed two windows in our living room and one new window in our kitchen. He also replaced the front, back, and interior doors with French doors. He installed double French doors from our dining area to our enclosed porch for entertaining purposes. Patrick put in a cathedral ceiling in our upstairs bedroom. In 2019 he replaced our bulkhead with a guard house entrance to our basement with two French doors, one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom. Our basement now has easy exterior door access and light. Whatever project Patrick has completed for us, he has completed on time and on budget. Whatever creative thoughts I expressed to him, he went forth and created them. My home truly is an expression of my lifestyle, put into life by Patrick. I was and am in awe of his workmanship and attention to detail. He worked with me every step of the process through completion, looking out for my best interest. Patrick is a gifted man who had my vision in mind. We were blessed to find such a competent, creative, team player. We highly recommend Patrick Farrar.

John Patrick Farrar designed and built a new kitchen and laundry room for me. He listened well to what I wanted and designed a better layout than I envisioned. His work is impeccable, he's easy to work with, keeps the work area picked up and clean. John Patrick is a man of his word. He shows up on time, he's a hard worker and easy to have around. I wish he were still in the northeast. I'd hire him in a nanosecond.

We were absolutely thrilled with the work Patrick did in our Condo. All of our needs were met on time and within the estimated budget. He has a great eye for detail and the quality of his work is superb. We feel very lucky to have worked with him and would highly recommend his services. He also was able to meet specific timelines to pass and oversee city inspections which was incredibly helpful as we were unable to be present during the renovation. A trustworthy true professional. We couldn’t be more pleased and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Patrick was the key to making the rustic 1870's cottage I bought liveable! With his eye for design and superb craftsmanship he transformed the grubby, unsightly, old kitchen and bathroom. Now these spaces are attractive and functional, but still in keeping with the character of the cottage. The project was challenging because of the uneven original construction and age of the building but his knowledge and skill were more than equal to the task. I know he has experience with much larger projects both in old and modern remodeling and construction, but he was attentive to listening to what I wanted and needed; providing cheerful re-assurance to all my questions during the process.

Patrick from Farrar Construction & Design provided design inspiration as well as beautiful and quality construction choices. His tireless willingness to provide customer satisfaction exceeded expectations as well as industry standards. Delightfully, all contractual agreements were completed on time and within agreed costs and guidelines. Mr. Farrar is truly a gifted designer as well as a skilled and knowledgeable contractor that you will certainly want to consider.

Patrick did an awesome job remodeling my Santa Barbara condo. It was a full restart of the 2br/2ba unit, including kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, etc. Not only did he delivery good quality work on-time, but he also helped with some great ideas for reconfiguring the space. I’d recommend him and look forward to working with him in the future.

I had Farrar construction do renovation work on my 1873 cottage. He added a screened in porch that is the envy of all my neighbors. Patrick is a very talented carpenter with a eye for design. The work done on my cottage and others in Asbury Grove has elevated the community to a new level. We have projects waiting for his return.

Patrick was invaluable in the total renovation of a historic cottage. From design and planning, to tearing away the old additions and creating new, functional space that blended with the antique structure while giving us a supremely livable and enjoyable home. Work quality was superb, which we expected having seen other projects, but we particularly appreciated working with his creative input and overall support of the project as we went through all the hoops necessary - permits, inspections and the like.
