THE SEARCH IS OVER!!! EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE!!! So like many of you, I did A LOT of research. In fact, I spent about 2 years doing my homework and checking out each and every builder. Like many shoppers, the 1st thing I was comparing was cost. When comparing apples to apples, Fieldstone is the best value. I was pleasantly surprised when I understood exactly what was included without having to pay for an upgrade. That was just the beginning though! Yes, they are the best value, but their customer service and quality is next to none! My first point of contact with Fieldstone was Bob Johnson. He's a fantastic realtor and he truly goes out of his way to make sure you're a happy customer. He was not pushy and he truly listened to my wants, needs, etc. He didn't stop moving until we put together exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Bob!! Then I had the pleasure of working with Bryan Wolfe. I could tell almost immediately how passionate he was for building homes. His intelligence, professionalism, and the joy he brought to this project was incredible! Thanks Bryan!! My house building Supervisor was Jeff Hoehn. He has a very difficult job and Jeff did a fantastic job working with someone like me, I'm extremely picky! Anytime I was nervous about anything, he could sense it, and he was quick to tell me "Andrew, let me do the worrying for you, everything is ok". Thanks Jeff!! Throughout the entire process I communicated with Robin Langness. She is a machine and time after time, overly impressed with her responsiveness and professionalism. Thanks Robin!! The entire team was fantastic and they actually made it so much fun!! I've already been thinking about my next build with Fieldstone Family Homes. I hope this can help some people that are in the same position I was about a year ago. Check them out and you will not be disappointed! Sincerely, Andrew Kline
I wanted to wait before I wrote this review because new construction always seems perfect in the beginning unless there is gross incompetence. We bought our home in summer of 2015 and moved in December 2015. At first, everything seemed lovely. Within the first year, the carpet was in shreds and bare in many places. From normal foot traffic, mind you, a family of four. It got so bad we ripped out the basement carpeting and just lived with bare concrete for a year until we could afford to replace it with Pergo. The interior paint, as well, was the lowest grade. It leaves a powdery residue on everything, even years later, and is impossible to clean. The trim and baseboards are peeling badly, not even 4 years later. The vinyl flooring in the bathrooms all began to come up within 6 months, and the light fixtures are rusting as well. The "range fan" is utterly useless as it simply vents...into the cupboard above the microwave. The appliances were included, but we've had issues with each of them to varying degrees of cost. Bear in mind that this house isn't even four years old. The garage door came off its tracks after 2 years, which was an additional cost. When we went to install laminate flooring upstairs after the carpet became so threadbare my kids were tripping over it, we had real trouble finding a square edge anywhere. The granite in the kitchen was never sealed so it's now splotchy and uneven despite our careful efforts to keep it dry. Honestly, I say all that to say this as a frustrated homeowner- model homes are sparkly and pretty for a reason. The real test of a builder is how the home adapts to being lived in. Most people would expect to have to do minor touchups every 4-5 years. We've been LIVING with the house in need of major touchups since its first year. Had I known the kind of money we'd need now to put in decent flooring, paint, appliances, and upgrades- I would've passed on Fieldstone.

I have worked with Fieldstone Family Homes and Melissa Johnson and have had a great experience with them. Their level of professionalism and expertise is top notch. They build a high quality home and offer some extras that other builders seem to over charge for. I will continue to refer Fieldstone to others and would highly recommend them.
Fieldstone Family Homes is an excellent company to work with. Their knowledge of the home building process and ability to customize anything how you want it is a great asset.
The quality of home that Fieldstone Family Homes builds is excellent. They treat their customers with respect from start to finish. I would definitely recommend.
Truly a reputable company that stands by their work... even after the provided home warranty expires. They really look to create long term relationships!
