Rick and his crew did a fantastic job on the entire rehab of the only bathroom in my house, which had been ripped apart last year to fix a leaking main waste stack. It's a small bathroom, and there wasn't much room to work, but they were able to get it all done on time despite the challenges with the lack of space to work. Rick also has a great eye for design, and ended up making one small suggestion regarding base trim tile that turned out looking way better than what I had originally come up with. And when it was all done, him and his crew cleaned everything exceptionally well. I have a future kitchen makeover planned for 1-2 years down the road, and I will not hesitate to ask Rick to do that as well.

From start to finish, Rick and his associates were a pleasure to work with. We added a 600 sq ft addition to a 100+ year old house, and they were skilled in making the transition from old to new seamless. Personable and detail oriented, Rick followed my requests, as well as suggesting alternatives for things I wasn’t sure about. I would call on them again for future projects dealing with remodeling of the main house.

Rick and his team did a fantastic job on a bathroom addition in my 70 year old home. He and is crew were top notch. Friendly, talented and consummate professionals. Rick is a good listener and answered all questions in a timely and complete manner. He is also creative builder. He came up with a superior solution for the shower floor that was much better than the original concept. He also saved the day when my original choice for a floor subcontractor balked at the project at the last minute. His go to guy did an amazing job refinishing my original hardwood floors. Every aspect of this project came out better than my original dream. I can not wait to get started on phase two in the next few months.

Rick finished our basement, and we are thrilled with the results. Rick is straightforward, honest, and respectable. Everyone he brought into my home was pleasant as well. He was communicative, and treated the job like it was his own house. No shortcuts, no cutting corners. It was such a pleasure to let him handle all the headaches of permits and a million trips to the hardware store. I would absolutely recommend him.

Rick created a work of art from a bare bones basement. The home Brewing centric Bar Rick engineered is straight out of Man Cave heaven. Detail by detail was carefully crafted to work seamlessly with each other, from the exposed brick walls to the multi-shaded hardwood flooring. Fitzsimmons & Associates should be your first pick in St. Louis.

We hired Rick and his team in early 2017 to do a full kitchen renovation in our early-1900s home, and I really can't overstate how happy I am with how everything went and the finished product. The remodel included removing a wall between our kitchen and living room which turned out to be a minefield of asbestos wrapped duct work, really old electric, slightly less old but still old electric, water lines, plumbing stack for the second and third floor...the works. They met the challenge and worked with us to discuss options for removal of hazardous materials (greatly appreciated in a home with a toddler) and how best to relocate the necessary utilities. Overall, Rick's team worked to install a custom hex tile floor, new cabinets, appliances, quartzite and butcher block counters, custom transom windows, and lots of plumbing, HVAC and electrical work. We also did some renovations to a hallway, our living room and a mudroom as part of this project. I found Rick to be very well organized and responsive to any questions that came up during our project. He approached any (inevitable, old house) issues in such a positive, creative way. Nothing that we encountered was ever presented as a dead-end, they were all just issues that required dynamic solutions, which he provided. But really I think the thing I found to be most valuable about Rick was that he appreciates old houses and does his absolute best to preserve their character. My house has been remodeled a countless number of times and has lost so much original detail. He was very helpful in pointing out where we can preserve or restore parts of the house, but was never pushy. I know I could ask his opinion on any parts of the project and get his honest, but supportive opinion. Our house stayed clean during the work (which was a minor miracle, considering how much plaster was disturbed). They were respectful and conscious of how difficult it is to have strangers tearing apart your house while you're living there. Rick took a kitchen that was covered in faux woodgrain paneling in the 1960s then painted dusty rose in the 1980s and turned it into a bright, modern space that still fits in with the overall style of the house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Our team was fantastic! Rick and the professionals that work with him are perfectionists, every last detail was discussed and they had many great ideas we didn't even think of ourselves! We had a complete kitchen re-structure / remodel, so it was a big job. They cleaned up very well each evening, as we were living in the home during the job, and that was appreciated! We are having them back in the spring to do our bathroom!!! The entire project stayed within the agreed upon budget - there were no surprise or unexpected costs that you sometimes hear about. WE LOVE OUR KITCHEN and use it daily!!!
