Four Seasons Builders

I had a rat-shaped issue that would not go away due to a hole behind my kitchen cabinet, and that was when I decided the kitchen remodel of my dream was finally in order. I found Mike after an extensive internet search, and it didn’t take long before I knew he was the one. His years of experiences were reflected in his thoughtful responses. His care and attention to detail were evident from his conduct. During our first meeting, we talked for over an hour. Unlike other GCs I had met who mostly went with what I had in mind, I loved that Mike gave me a ton of ideas on appliance placement and layout recommendations that I hadn’t thought of before. Mike wasn’t the cheapest, but he was the most earnest. His estimates were spot on and we barely had three change orders of minor amounts and most of them were due to a change of heart on my part. Even with the change orders, he managed to finish the project a whole month ahead of schedule for a three-month-long project. Aside from Mike and his own aura of awesomeness, he had a crew of highly competent workers that are respectful, diligent, and dedicated. They worked tirelessly 6 days a week, from 8am to 6pm. My remodel, which was really a total rebuild of a third of my house, was extensive: Two load bearing walls removed, two ceiling beams installed, concrete poured, two headers installed for new exterior openings, three shear walls installed, plumbing and HVAC re-routed, and countless electrical circuits added. While all of this was happening, I continued living in the same house and enjoyed my normal amenities, except for my kitchen and laundry. With the exception of one day when it was just boring ol’ drywall sanding, Mike was on-site every single day. He was always around to monitor progress and kept me closely apprised of what to expect next and any unexpected issues. I had a lot of questions about the details of their work, and he always patiently answered them even if they were in the “nice-to-know” territory. I still can’t believe how much he put up with me throughout this project to this day. From the get go, I made a point to Mike that sealing holes to prevent future rodent intrusion was of the utmost importance to me, as that was what had set this whole project in motion. I shared my experiences with the rats and how they had robbed me of my sanity. Sure, he laughed at my paranoia and my hyperbolic reactions, but he took my worries to heart and instructed his employees to be extra attentive to closing up gaps prior to wrapping up for the day and accommodating us to install metal plates around plumbing and electrical holes to deter rodent entry. His thoughtfulness and warmth opened a door to an unlikely friendship, bonding over our overwhelming need for perfection. To date, I continue to go to Mike for consults on everything home-related. For example, I bought a new rug for my living room the other day and asked him what he thought of it; if anyone I knew with a good sense of aesthetics and style were to give me honest feedback, it would be Mike (he still tells me my kitchen paint color choice was crap).

So, you've got that room in your house. The last owners forgot to remodel it. It's the ugly duckling. You're thinking about renovating it into something gorgeous. Perhaps, just as a fully armored Athena burst forth from Zeus' forehead, you have a fully formed design vision leaping forth from your brilliant mind. Perhaps you've got some design ideas, but aren't quite sure how to put it all together. Call Mike. He's your guy. Mike and his crew remodeled our kitchen. It wasn't one of those pansy new countertops/cabinets and done remodels. It was a rebuild-a-third-of-your-house kind of remodel. We ripped everything out of the kitchen, down to the bare studs. We removed a couple structural walls and made the associated structural modifications. We closed some windows and moved a door. Moved plumbing and gas lines? Yup. Entirely new electrical? Yeah, we did that. New, shiny, smooth walls? Check. New cabinets. New countertops. New flooring. Tile backsplash. New appliances installed. Kitchens have everything, and Mike crushed it all. He finished a month ahead of schedule, and we were thrilled with the results. Mike is a veritable geyser of ideas. He's got ideas and opinions he can share with you, if you're interested. He's very experienced and can point out things you might not have considered or known about. And at the end of the day, he'll build what you want, not what he wants. He won't pressure you to do it his way; he's not pushy. He listens to what you have to say. Mike himself is very detail oriented. He visited the job site every day and if he saw something that he thought looked off, he'd get it fixed. Likewise, if we saw something we were concerned about, we'd talk to Mike and it'd either be fixed pronto, or he'd explain why we shouldn't be concerned. There was no problem touching up small details. The quality of the finished product was awesome; my wife has an eye for small details, comparable to Mike's. Mike is also an excellent project manager. He'll tell you about what decisions you need to make by when, and he'll keep reminding you about them until you make them. He kept everything on schedule. He's a great buffer between you and the workers so you don't have a continuous stream of questions in Spanglish coming your way. Mike's crew is extremely professional, hardworking and competent. They were there every day, on time, working their ass off. Their work passed all of the city's inspections the first time, except for a very minor plumbing issue that took someone an hour or two to fix. Overall, Mike and his crew produced high quality results ahead of schedule with a minimal amount of stress on our end. He is trustworthy, honest and a good problem solver. Absolutely great company! We had 3 contractors come out to do estimates. Mike was by far the most thorough. We were removing 2 walls for an open floor concept and he was the only contractor that looked in the attic and basement to verify if the walls were load bearing. Knowing the cost of our remodel up front saved us a lot of headache. I work from home and his crew was always very respectful. Mike was onsite everyday, making sure every detail was to our standards. He was very responsive via text and email. The quality of work was amazing. We get compliments from family and friends every time they come over. We were so impressed with everything that we kept adding more things for them to update and fix. The project was estimated for 3 months and he was just under, even with all the change of orders. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you choose Four Seasons Builders!

Just completed my renovation with Four Seasons and I couldn’t be happier!!! When I started this journey to renovate my entire 1100 sq ft. condo, I asked a few friends if they would recommend their contractors and they either said “no” or hesitated to give me an answer. I ended up taking my chances on yelp and interviewed 5 contractors. When I met Mike Litman (owner), I immediately had a good vibe about him. And while all 5 contractors were contenders, my instincts were telling me that he would be the best to work with. Well, my instincts were absolutely spot-on!!! Mike is THE BEST!! He estimated about 3 months for my condo and completed the project on time. I had moved out during the remodel so Mike was there almost every day checking up on his workers and the progress. His communication on the progress was excellent! He continuously kept me informed either by text, phone or in person. He would send me pictures (or even videos) during the day on some of the work…even while I went on vacation for a week. He also made me feel comfortable to ask questions, requests and changes. And while he admits he’s not a designer, he helped suggest a couple of things based on his own experience. (Side note: I didn’t hire a designer but I wish I did to ease some of the constant decision making for this size of a project). Sure, unexpected issues came as with any remodel. And in a condo, there are unique challenges dealing with the HOA and ensuring the neighbors aren’t affected, but through it all, Mike was so patient with the challenges and handled things with a lot of professionalism. He even handled a problem with my permits and was able to resolve it quickly with minimal delay. And most importantly...Mike made sure that I was satisfied with the work. When I pointed at mistakes or where some of the work requires slight adjustments, Mike made sure it was to my satisfaction. Great job by all the workers as well!!! In the beginning, it was honestly nerve-racking trusting a total stranger to take on the biggest project I’ve ever done in my own home. But I’m so glad I did and I’m glad that I had Mike and Four Seasons steering the way. I posted pics (including before and afters) so enjoy!

Our kitchen project was a success with Four Seasons Builders. Mike was on time, and clean, really professional. I still get compliments on our kitchen. It is good quality construction.

We were referred to Four Seasons Builders by a friend with impeccable taste. They had a large remodel project and I loved how their home looked when it was complete. I hoped if they were happy with Four Seasons Builders we would be too. Mike and his team did not disappoint! From the first time I called I knew Mike would be great to work with. He was great to speak with via phone and offered to come look at the project right away. Mike was always on time or even early. When he said he would follow up with an email or a call he always did. He was the more reliable contractor we spoke with. With our home we started with a short list of projects and the scope of the project changed as we got to know Mike better. We knew we could trust him and his team to make our new house our home. They were always on time, stayed on schedule, the prices were fair and reasonable plus Mike is a perfectionist! Our house was a challenge as the past owners did a lot of work themselves and so we had to do a lot of correcting/fixing the work that had been done. Mike worked with us to keep within our budget and totally on time. It was so nice to know he was paying close attention to all that we wanted to accomplish. There are more projects on our list so I am sure we will be calling Mike and Four Seasons Builders again soon!

We were searching for a contractor that could do most everything for a multi bathroom remodel (Flooring, drywall, tile, plumbing & electrical). Based on the reviews Mikes was a potential fit (except electrical). Timing was important because we had to be able to use one bathroom while both were being demo'd and remodeled. Mike cleaned up each work area each day and accommodated our schedules within the time budget. He was upfront, honest, professional and frankly a bit of a perfectionist. He was also very flexible and suggested great value adds we had not considered. His work was accurate, clean and he also performed some small changes not in the contract. We would recommend him and plan to use him again in the near future.

Mike and his extended team did a full kitchen rip-and-replace for us including demo, moving plumbing and electrical and handling three permits. They managed cabinets and countertops. Kitchen turned out smashing and at a good value. The crew was always pleasant and kept the place clean and worked within the constraints of our HOA, which can be difficult. Definitely recommend Mike and team!

I contacted Mike from Four Season Builders via email one night to get a competitive bid for house painting. I work in commercial real estate, so as a general practice I always get three bids from different companies. Mike was responsive and came to my home the next morning and took the time to walk the job with me, and efficiently pointed out details and made sure he understood the project. He followed up with the most detailed bid along with photographs and specifications of the materials. I decided to go with his company. I couldn't be more pleased with the process and the results. His crew took the time to properly mask and prepare the surfaces, were friendly, and worked hard, but obviously took a quiet sense of pride in their work. It's a stunning difference in the results, as the finished doors, gates, and woodwork look like new. Actually, we like the new stain colors better than the original colors - Mike took the time to discuss sample colors with us and test stain an area to make sure we knew what to expect. I found Mike to be very knowledgeable and detail oriented and a pleasure to work with him and his long time crew.

First time doing a remodeling work in our condo home in LA, and we were very nervous finding the right general contractor that could provide great and honest work. Found Four Season Builders through Houzz and was excited reading great reviews. We met Mike our project manager and he gave us the quote to remodel the kitchen and bathroom plus creating extra cabinets and bar area in the dinning room, recess lighting in our hall and sconces in the living room. After much deliberation with my wife, we decided to go with him. The crew that came to do the work were nice and hard working and we felt comfortable talking to them. They were informative the whole way through with any concerns or questions we had. We got many great complements from friends and neighbors and we are also very satisfied with how everything turned out, they way it looks, the performance of every fixtures.

I was in need of renovating our home and wanted to upgrade my kitchen with new cabinetry. I was recommended by several friends to go check out Four Seasons and after seeing their work I was very impressed. They were very courteous, helpful and knowledgable as to guiding me which would fit my style, looks and all within my set budget as well. They have a huge selection to choose from and also have a wide variety of granite countertops to accompany with. They installed the new kitchen days later and it was beautiful. I am very pleased. i love mike and four seasons builders! i did work inside and out on two diferent projects on both of project mike did way beyond our expectations! workers on time, process of work is clean on each end of day and the finishing was really great. mike eyes for details was very helpful for us doring the process and for the finishing.
