Rama Mills hails from High Point and is an experienced businesswoman. She is the Chief Financial Officer for the company and she is committed to accountability and quality customer service. She and Gail have worked together since 1983.

G. Crabtree Homebuilding has been praised by Preservation Durham for their sensitive in-town building. The Neighborhood Conservation Award they received for their new construction on Knox Street near Duke Park recognized their homes as being worthy of preservation 50 years from now.

We hired Crabtree Homebuilding to renovate two bathrooms. One was a partial update, the other was a complete renovation, demolishing back to the studs. I was very happy with the service. There was a problem (roof leak) discovered during demolition that was rapidly corrected. The subcontractor that handled it went well beyond the scope of work to be sure there were no other leaks. I have done enough DIY projects to be very picky, but also to recognize the professional work done by all the subcontractors. I was particularly happy with the impeccable work done in tiling both surrounds, especially the one that included handmade accent tiles. I was able to relax about both projects, knowing that even the unseen, behind-the-walls work was done well. We were in the house through both projects, and the rest of the house was kept as clean as possible, and the work areas cleaned up each day. The impact on our family was kept as low as possible. I continue to use Crabtree for projects we have and would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to build or renovate.

We worked with Gail Crabtree Home Building to renovate our kitchen. We had heard that renovations are difficult and there are always problems. As it turned out, we love our new kitchen and we even enjoyed the renovation process. We worked with Ellen Cassilly, a wonderful architect in our area to develop a design plan, and hired Gail Crabtree Home Building to carry out the plan. About 30 people with different skills and expertise were involved in the project from beginning to end and each one was delightful and efficient! The care they took to keep the construction area sealed from the rest of the house allowed us to remain in our home, meet the team, and see the progress. Gail Crabtree and her team did a fabulous job, kept the project moving forward at a fast pace, took the design and completed it on time and on budget. Gail came to the house daily to see the progress and ensure that the work was the high quality that she expects. We couldn't have asked for a better process or outcome. We highly recommend G. Crabtree Home Building for home renovation or new construction!

Working with Gail and all her crews was a joy. Every day was a new entertainment, watching them work together, seemingly always knowing each other's next move. Gail was always accessible and answered all of our many questions honestly. The work was never delayed. Crews arrived when promised and worked diligently. Having had work done previously by another contractor, I can't even explain how valuable it was to us to work with people with so much integrity.
