Gambone's Custom Home Improvements

During the February 2021 winter freeze, the pipes in the ceilings at my in-laws' house burst - basically destroyed the interior of the entire house. We were referred to Gambone's Custom Home Improvement -- Tony came out right away - he assessed the damage (which was extensive), put together detailed estimates, helped us work with the insurance company (which is not easy) and completed the rebuild of the house on budget and on time. Tony, Wendy and Anthony are very knowledgeable, professional and extremely friendly. Whenever we had questions, they would not hesitate to take the time to talk through our concerns and offer suggestions. They are not the type of contractors that just put in minimal effort to get the job done as quickly as possible -- they are detail-oriented, high quality craftsmen who put in a lot of thought and effort to create an incredible result. And they have a really great team to back them up! They are also both exceptional with communication, sticking to a schedule and managing expectations. We were all very impressed with everything Gambone brought to the table - I honestly wasn't sure if my in-laws would ever want to move back into the house after we saw the initial damage - but, after Tony and his team completed their work, my father-in-law was overjoyed to move back in, and said that they had basically given him a new home. I am 100% glad we went with Gambone. Will gladly refer them out to friends and will call them again for the next project.

We used Gambone's CHI to add a small 8' x 10' mudroom off the south end of our kitchen. We are so so happy we selected Tony/Wendy/Anthony and the team to complete our project. Right from the initial consult through to final completion, the entire process was seamless and very very professional. The crew was always on time, very professional and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. I was impressed that the project manager (Anthony) was on site each and every day and made sure any questions or concerns we may of had were addressed and resolved. The construction crew were on site everyday (~ for 6 weeks excluding w/e) with no waiting for sub-contractors to show up based on their availability. Tony was very proactive in ensuring the schedule quoted was adhered to. We had a small hick-up with matching the existing exterior brick color, but Tony and his crew fixed/addressed the issues promptly and professionally at no cost to us. Another very important note is the price quoted was the price paid. There were no "hidden costs" or surprises at the end when it came time to settle the remaining payments. If there were any potential cost adders as a result of any changes requested by my wife or I, the costs were discussed and agreed upon prior to the work taking place. I cannot say enough good things about GCHI and I would highly recommend using Wendy/Tony for all your home improvement needs.

Gambone's CHI came to our rescue after our house suffered damage from broken pipes and repiping. Our laundry room, kitchen and wood floors were completely replaced. Every room in the house was painted. They took us through the whole process from developing a design and choosing materials to managing the crews and completing the project in a timely manner. 1. Dedicated Designers – Wendy and Tony helped us choose granite, tile, cabinets and everything else we needed for the remodel. After carefully listening to what we wanted, they provided CAD drawings that helped us visualize the finished project. Once we chose materials, the Gambones took care of all the logistics and made sure that the workers had the necessary materials when they needed them. 2. Professionalism of the Team – Anthony was our project manager from start to finish. Having a single point-of-contact throughout the project was essential. He was always very responsive when we had questions, gave us daily updates and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. 3. Quality of Work – Tony told workers to treat our house as if it was their own. If something wasn’t perfect, it was redone. We were impressed by the Gambones’ attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent service. We’re very happy with the work as well as their integrity and professionalism.

Earlier this year I decided to convert some unused space into a home office & spare bedroom. I reached out to a few general contractors for initial quotes and found that most preferred to operate in an ad-hoc manner. They didn’t seem comfortable doing the job the proper way (obtaining structural engineering reports and navigating the city of Houston Permitting process). Then I met Tony. As soon as he stopped by for the initial consultation, I was impressed on several levels. Tony was: •Very re-assuring in being able to navigate the city of Houston permitting process •Able to make good suggestions on what could be done with the space •Very responsive – I remember that on the same evening of his initial visit he sent across draft CAD drawings (all to scale) – which helped crystalize my thoughts on how to build out the space When it came to job execution, both Tony & Anthony were first class: •They were able to seamlessly manage multiple contractors – who each did a great job on their own and had clearly worked together in the past •Even the smallest details were given attention •Tony and Anthony were also extremely polite. It was pleasure to have them and their crews working in our home every day for almost 5 weeks this year Gambone’s did a great job and we are very pleased with the results!

I've worked with other contractors in the past and by far Gambone's Custom Home Imprv. are top notch . There staff is very professional and the work is done at the highest of standards. Mr. Gambone oversees all the projects and ensure that. you're completely satisfied with all the improvements that you wanted done. I had my kitchen updated and I couldn't be happier with the workmanship, quality of the products installed, and the time it took to complete. I look forward to working with him and his team on future projects and know that he'll have the same level of professionalism and standard that he had on my kitchen remodel.

In looking for a contractor for my remodel project, I solicited four company's, all referrals listed on my NextDoor Neighborhood App - Of the four, Gambone's was the contractor that consistently asked all the right questions, came across confident and knowledgeable, and made suggestions to improve on my "vision". Tony told me the project would take about two weeks, and that's exactly where it landed - two weeks. The remodel included knocking down most of a wall, arching the wall to match the other arches in the home, relocating my refrigerator, building cabinets (which included granite and a pony bar), building out two custom pantries, and installing hardwood floor. Once it was completed, it looked even better than I had imagined. Reliable, trustworthy, fairly priced, and professional - all of the top reasons why Gambone's CHI is at the top of my list for any future projects.

Rebuilt home after flood. Installed kitchen, 2.5 bath and 2500 square feet of restoration, dry wall, paint, electrical, doors. External paint. Tile installation. Fire place installation. Lighting upgrade. Tony and Wendy very responsive and professional. The day to day workers were the best craftsmen I have had the pleasure to work with. They were polite, neat and responsive. I would not hestitate to hire Gambone's again.

We hire Gambone's to retile our shower. They did a great job! They also installed some shelves in our laundry room to match some existing cabinets. We will definitely hire them again when we have another project.

What a great 'first' remodel for us! The Gambone contractor and the installers (tile) were efficient, knowledgeable, and very professional. I appreciated that their time on sight was used wisely and they cleaned up after each day's work! Thanks for making the redo a positive one
