I've worked with Nick on several projects and he's my go- to builder. He knows most everything there is, is easy to work with, and makes construction as fun as it can be. I like that he gives options of what to do, and doesn't go straight away to the most expensive option. He will tell you when you are wasting money on something unnecessary. He's creative, responsive and does great work- can't ask for more.

We had a wonderful experience working with Nick and his team for a gut remodel of two bathrooms in our Oakland home, our first significant interior project. From our initial contact, we had a good feeling about working with Nick - he was responsive and clearly had a lot of experience working through the challenges that come along with remodeling an older home. As expected, small things came up that required revisiting the initial plans, and Nick was an excellent problem solver - walking us through the pros/cons of different options. Nick and his subs were all extremely detail oriented, at times caring about things that frankly we might not have even noticed! He also has a good aesthetic sense - beyond the layout we did not work with a designer, and it was super helpful to bounce ideas off of him re: tile layout, etc. We feel fortunate to have found Ghirardelli Construction and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Nick completed a luxury ADU for me in 2022. His attention to detail, eye for design opportunities, excellent communication skills and honest desire to please made him undeniably THE PERFECT CHOICE for my project. The home we built the ADU under ( house was on a downslope) was over 20 years old, so of course we ran into a few surprises/leaks. He didn't miss a beat- and was able to manage both projects simultaneously and kept us on schedule. His billing was regular and easy to understand. I wish he'd been old enough 20 years ago to have built my house!

Nick and his team transformed a completely gutted Eichler for our family last year and we are beyond impressed. The project was completed on time (very aggressive timeline but they did it!) and with meticulous care. Every room, door, wall, ceiling and floor space was touched including the addition of many features Eichlers traditionally lack (overhead lighting, central heating). Nick is always available to talk/text, easy to reach and very communicative (not always the case with contractors, I've heard). Even a year later he's available to answer any questions or give advice on other projects around the yard we didn't get to earlier. His team is like one big happy family, and the quality of work, especially the tile and flooring install, is amazing. Nick is very personable, easy to get along with and will work with you to create the result that makes the most sense for the space, your aesthetic and, most importantly, your budget. We highly recommend Nick for any large project and we were so lucky to be introduced to him when purchasing our forever home when it was in scary, beyond-fixer-upper shape.

Nick and his team did an incredible job with a major home renovation for us, completely redoing three bathrooms from scratch. They set an aggressive timeline and stuck to it, and stayed within their estimated budget. The work speaks for itself - we were extremely happy with the results, and it's been almost a year now since completion and we've had no issues with quality at all. I've worked with a lot of contractors and something I appreciated the most about Nick was how helpful he was outside the actual execution of the work itself -- he gave us thoughtful design advice, helped us source the best materials, and was a pleasure to work with every day.

Nick was such an asset to our project. We are first time home buyers and didn’t know a lot about the process. Nick did an amazing job walking us through the details in a way that made us comfortable. He finished the project on time and on budget. He was clear and transparent throughout and helped us understand the cost / benefit at each step. Highly recommend!!!

Nick Ghirardelli and his team were a dream to work with. True professionals all around with laser focus on the small details, they take great pride in their work. We just finished building a pergola with them and while it was a small project, they treated it like it was big. Not only did the craftsmanship and design far surpass our expectations but the quality and integrity of the structure they built will last a lifetime. We are excited to move onto the next project with Ghirardelli Construction.

I've worked with a number of contractors, and Nick is the best of the best. He takes initiative on projects, is punctual and thoughtful in his replies, and does high quality work. He built a sturdy and structurally sound fireplace frame for us, and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend Ghirardelli Construction.

Nick and his Ghirardelli team were all around fantastic, and can't recommend them more. Nick walked us through the entire process, stage by stage. The construction job was not only completed on schedule and budget, but the finished product exceeded our expectations. If anyone is looking for an honest and professional team, this is it.

We just finished building an ADU from the ground up and Nick Ghirardelli was our general contractor. He was incredible to work with and is truly an artist with an excellent eye, in addition to being a professional and having excellent partners for each specialized element of the project. We felt supported in making decisions that would have otherwise been very overwhelming because Nick knew exactly where we should go look at samples and options and he offered suggestions that were well-informed and took into account both our aesthetic and our lifestyle. I would highly recommend Nick to anyone looking to remodel or do a building project, he’s the best!

Can't say how much I love working with them. Nick and Bill are so straightforward, they have tons of experience, and a great eye for design. They are a father/son team and both have great things they bring to the table. They did a whole home gut + addition + remodel for us, and the craftsmanship on our house was wonderful. They have been around a long time, and make the construction process easy (as easy as it can be :) We're really happy we found them, and love our new house
