We had an awning that was improperly installed by the previous owners on our front porch, causing a water leak into our wall. In addition, our surrounding deck had some rot and needed to be replaced. We hired Goedecke Builders to replace the rotting deck parts, which involved taking the deck apart and re-building it, along with repairs to the water damage in the front wall. As most projects go, the cause of the damage (improperly installed awning with flashing on backwards) was not discovered until they started demo, and the project ended up being more than we anticipated. The whole awning was rotten and needed to be rebuilt along with the wall damage repairs. Matt and Taylor worked with us to try and re-use what materials we could and keep costs down so that we didn't go too over budget. They did an excellent job. The new awning looks great, the deck is sturdy and all their finish work on the walls was top notch. They showed us what they were working on and how they were fixing it along the way. I would absolutely recommend them for a remodel or home repair project.
