Good Life Home Design

Our experience with Good Life was awful from the moment we signed the contract. A ~1 month bathroom renovation stretched out to take over 6 months, without any reasonable explanation. (Granted 1 month of delay was due to mold remediation that was found to be necessary midway through. This took longer than anticipated because we insisted on finding our own remediation company. As you'll see, we couldn't trust the subcontractors Good Life works with, especially when it comes to our safety.) Beyond the delays, the work was all done very poorly. The demolition made large, unnecessary holes in interior and exterior walls that were poorly patched (so poorly that one of Good Life's own subcontractors said we shouldn't consider paying them full price). Subcontractors would show up without notice, forcing us to cancel plans, or no show when they were actually scheduled. The plumbing work was particularly bad (e.g. using gas fittings on water lines; removing a full section of a floor joist under a toilet without any expectation of reinforcing it). We've since had a handful of plumbers to our home to quote other projects, who have described Good Life's work as "unacceptable," "mickey mouse," and "totally unprofessional." We've paid hundreds already to undo portions of Good Life's plumbing work, within a few months of the reno finishing. I assume that's just the beginning. Beyond that, no care was given to any cosmetic work, except the tile. The enamel on our bathtub was badly scratched during installation, almost nothing was installed straight or level, the drywall work is VERY amateur, with seams and tape visible everywhere beneath the paint. Good Life's project management was almost never at our home to supervise, and subcontractors typically showed up without any instructions, asking us what needed to be done, completely defeating the point of hiring a contractor. Subcontractors often complained that they were being underpaid by Good Life and didn't have the resources needed to do their job properly. We flagged these issues early and often over email, text, and on the phone, but Good Life was dismissive at best, and often argumentative and combative. Rarely when they did acknowledge their poor work (specifically the drywall) they did send people out to fix it. But after FOUR different attempts at "finishing touches" to make the drywall acceptable, it hadn't improved and we simply gave up. From the beginning, they specialized in overpromising and under delivering. We even fronted some money for permits with the assurance we'd be reimbursed (per the contract). Months after the job is done, we haven't seen that money.

We recently completed a full bathroom and kitchen remodel with Good Life Home Design, and it was a fantastic experience. The remodel included new floor tiles, converting a tub to a shower, replacing vanities, and completely renewing the kitchen with new tiles, cabinets, countertops, and flooring. They also upgraded the main panel and plumbing. The remodeling team was wonderful, carefully listening to our needs and exceeding our expectations. The end result looks even better than we had planned. Surprisingly, the work was completed ahead of schedule, leaving us extremely happy with the outcome. I was looking to do my backyard for years, we were finally ready this year to do it and make our yard ready for summer. Ben and Tal came and gave us different ideas and design it with us together. Tal made an absolutely gorgeous 3D design for us and then we really felt comfortable with moving forward. We did pavers patio with aluminum patio cover, artificial grass throughout the yard and some planters. Came out beautifully. We happy with the process and the way it looks. Highly recommend them!

We were looking to remodel our kitchen so we met with few different contractors and we decided to choose Good Life home design to do the project. They came to our house to take measurements of the kitchen. A few days later they came with full plans and 3D images of my dream kitchen. They worked with our budget and make it looks amazing. The work took about a month until it was completed. When I had questions, they took the time to explain me everything in details. They are great team to work with and I would absolutely recommend them!

Our Roof was leaking from a few areas and we were looking for a contractor to replace it. Our roof is an Asphalt shingle roof the is more the 15 years old. We toke 4 estimate and Ben gave us a really good price and explained us about the whole process. We hired Good Life home design to do the work for us and it turned out to a great smooth process. We really liked the service we got and highly recommend this company.

We highly recommend Good life home design! We hired then to do our master bathroom. They help us figure out the right design. Gave us many samples to pick from, for the flooring, the vanity doors, the countertop and the tile for the shower. The line of communication was the best we ever experienced. There are plenty of contractors out there but what makes this company so special is the attention they give to the details. They did a great job with covering all our furnitures and floors to keep everything clean. They even brought a cleaning crew at the end of the project because one piece of plastic was moved and some dust went on the floor. They left when the master bathroom and bedroom was super clean. Overall the work was great and We very happy. Will definitely recommend them to friends and family!

We had an incredible experience with Good Life home design. We just moved to our new home with an unfinished backyard. My husband and I met with 3 different contractors and after doing our research, we choose this company. We knew we wanted an outdoor kitchen, pavers patio and make the space some more water-efficient. The designer of the company made a 3D rendering of the final idea that we liked. The construction took almost 3 weeks until it was completed. The work was done nice and clean. Highly recommend Good life home design!

I hired them to build a new Trex deck for my back yard 3 months ago. They were very professional during the project. It is high quality craftsmanship and really kind crew. I will definitely use them again for other projects in the future when Very recommend!!

Our backyard turned into a paradise! Ben, Tal and their team went beyond our expectations on the way things happen. Tal is a very professional designer, she came to our house and listened to all of our different ideas and then put it all together to a beautiful and detailed 3D design. The construction part was going pretty smoothly as well. It was all done within the time frame they gave us ( the whole project was done in a month ). The project was the backyard, with pavers, artificial grass, outdoor BBQ, patio cover and lightning. We are very happy with the project and want to recommend Good life home design to any homeowner or real estate.

Good life home design did an amazing job on our kitchen. We've been trying to change our kitchen for the last two years but we couldn't really figure exactly what we wanted. Good life home came with the perfect design of what we wanted. The guys are great and really helpful. Highly recommend.

We hired Good life home design to do our ADU. A first we had them do our plans. We interviewed several contractors and many of then didn’t seem so happy to have the plans for us, also didn’t want to give us a ballpark for the project. Ben was very nice and positive about the process, he warned us from the beginning that the plans can take up to 6 months to get approved. Luckily, we got it approved after 4 months. After the experience we had with this company during the plans, we felt super comfortable to go and continue to do the project with them. Same as the planning, also the actual project went smoothly and quickly. I’m very happy that this project went as planned and we can now use our ADU now, thank you guys for everything!
