We recently had a small bathroom remodeled and not surprisingly, Matt Gove and his team completed another high quality job for us. Having a home built in the early 1900's creates some unique challenges, but Matt's thoroughness, expertise and attention to detail resulted in a beautiful, fresh and airy space that we are very pleased with. The plumbing, carpentry, and painting were all meticulous. We didn't even pursue any other contractors when we started our planning of the remodel...having worked with Matt in the past we knew that we couldn't go wrong with Gove Restoration!

Matt Gove who I hired a year ago and waited for a year because he was so busy has been the epitome of a more than professional contractor. His carpenter men were so exceptional on my tutor house and now the painters are here and are also exceptional with all the painting prep and painting. They are here on time and stay late everyday. Many hours of great work. Matt is totally in touch with me during the whole job. Gove Restoration is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with.

I highly recommend Gove Restoration. We had our kitchen remodeled and it turned out even better than we’d hoped! Adam was wonderful to work with -professional, prompt, amazing attention to detail and all-around great guy! Our daughter and son-in-law also had their kitchen remodeled by Gove, and they had amazing results as well. We have heard so many horror stories from friends and families who’ve worked with contractors who did shoddy work or abandoned the project for weeks (even months) at a time. Gove Restoration and their team were always on schedule, courteous and meticulous. Adam kept us in the loop the entire project - even telling us which days may be noisy (my husband works from home) and which days we should have our dog out of the house!! Adam Gove and his crew did a wonderful job on the exterior painting of our home. It was a big color change, with old clapboards, gutters and lots of window muntin details. The great & prompt service started right away with his initial look at the house and estimate, and continued throughout the job. He visited the site very frequently & always answered texts quickly. He is extraordinarily conscientious and paid attention to the smallest details. There was even follow up with small touch ups after completion to have a result that met his standards. I highly recommend Adam and Company, it was truly enjoyable to work with someone who makes the problems disappear.

Gove Restoration just finished my half bathroom remodel project. It came out great!!! Adam was wonderful to work with. He guided me thru the process and kept me informed of what to expect. I plan to have Adam and Gove Restoration do another project for me when their schedule allows.

Everything turned out great and on time. Besides the high quality workmanship they cleaned up after themselves everyday they worked on our project. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Gove Restoration completed a few very different projects at my mother’s house in Newington. First, they replaced 40 year old back steps and did a full exterior paint job of shingles and shudders on the house and other buildings in the backyard. Inside the house, they updated her 60 year old bathroom including replacing the bathtub with a walk in shower safe for use of an 80 year old. My mother and the rest of the family are so happy with the results which shows the breadth of work that they can do. Matt Gove made the process so easy everyone by carefully outlining the intended scope of work, regularly updating us on progress, and following through on all commitments. All of the members of Matt’s team who worked on the various projects at my mother’s house treated her with kindness and consideration such that she never felt uncomfortable with anyone who came to the house. This was a huge relief for me since I live out of state and knew that she would be home alone during the work. I couldn’t recommend Gove Restoration more for any kind of contracting work!

I could not have been happier with the job Gove Restoration did for me. Adam was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, reliable, professional, and friendly while offering a superior product at a competitive price. We had replacement windows, new siding and new gutters installed. Everything went well. Some rotten wood was found during the work but it was all addressed with modern materials to end up with the repairs being of better quality than the original.

Gove Restoration recently completed a number of projects for us—painting the exterior of our 1920s-era house, replacing the garage roof, installing new gutters, carpentry to replace rotted trim, rotted shingles, and rotted shutters—and we couldn’t be happier. They were professional from start to finish, straightforward about issues as they arose, and conveyed a genuine appreciation for preserving the look of an older home. The work ethic of everyone, but especially the painters, was truly impressive, as was the attention to detail. We have received many compliments on their work from neighbors and passersby!
