I've known owner, Tom Colquitt, for quite some time but had not needed his services until we decided to remodel two of our bathrooms. Tom gave a ton of ideas on what we should do and the most efficient and cost effective way to get there. Rich, the project supervisor, was indispensable! He kept us in the loop daily during the rebuild and he was easy to contact when we had a question. I would not hesitate to use them again!

In 2023, Green House renovated our hall bathroom. This was our third project with Tom, Rich and the crew! In each case, the scope and costs have been clearly defined. Rich manages each project very carefully and keeps us informed along the way when there are inevitable labor shortages or other small glitches. Highly recommend!

We hired Green House Renovation to repair our house after a tree fell across the length of it. The damage was substantial. Tom was willing to work with our insurance company and quickly came to an agreement with insurance on cost to not only repair the damage and make the house beautiful once again. The exterior of our house is made of stone, and an entire corner was knocked down by the tree. We were very concerned that the stone work wouldn't match or it would be obvious that there had been damage there. But the repairs were excellent. They were able to reuse most of the existing stone, and the only thing that is noticeable is the mortar is newer in the rebuilt area than the rest of the house. Throughout the project, Tom would always ask, "what's your greatest concern." I appreciate that he wants us to be comfortable with the process and happy with the results. And we are! Green House Renovation was always communicative, keeping us informed about progress along the way. The work is top of the line- the floors, paint, and trim looks better than it did before. They were knowledgable about every step of the process and completed the work quickly and on budget. We highly recommend Green House Renovation and would work with them again for future repairs or remodels.

I just completed a studs out remodel of my house with Tom Colquitt and Green House Renovation. This was a huge undertaking, and the first time I'd ever contemplated such a big project. In late 2021 I was fortunate enough to buy back my house, which I had to let go of in the late 1990s and it was in a very deteriorated condition. The house had major water damage and wood rot. The plumbing, electric, heat and a/c were all shot. There was a hole in the side of the dining room wall you could see through, and the house was only fit for the raccoon who had made a home in the attic. I interviewed 12 other companies before settling on Tom. His professional demeanor, integrity, communication and depth of technical knowledge clearly differentiated him from the rest of the contractors I spoke with. I could have lost my shirt, as the house was in really rough shape and I've already got an anxious nature which had me about ready to throw in the towel and walk away from the whole thing. But Tom was thorough in his assessment of the property and the potential risks. His rolodex of contacts made the entire project easy, as I was really struggling with lenders to find the right type of financing to undertake the repairs. He also helped me engage an architect who really listened to my needs. Tom's budgeting, and his Project Manager, Rich's attention to detail meant we came in less than 2% over on a quarter million dollar job. As an independent film producer, I find this to be impressive! Yes, we had a few hiccoughs along the way, as is normal in any kind of job of this magnitude, but at the end of the day I can say I am extremely happy with the way the entire process went. I would not hesitate to work with Tom and his team again, and have absolutely zero reservations giving Tom and his team my very highest and best recommendation! Bottom line. Hire Tom...

Easy to work with and love the end result. They answered all of our questions (which was a lot, because we’re both engineers) and helped us with the contract to make sure we got what we wanted. They provided recommendations when it was appropriate since they are the experts. We get so many compliments and the previous owners want to buy the house back from us. :) Like any renovation, there were a few problems and a few change orders, and they managed every change/correction quickly with high quality. We love our new house!

I highly recommend Green House Renovation for any home improvement project. Tom, Rich, Sandro and their team renovated the kitchen and primary bathroom of my 1980's townhome in Midtown Atlanta. We worked together very closely to achieve my dream space. The kitchen was a complete gut job. In the kitchen, they removed a load bearing wall and installed a very large beam for structural support. New cabinets, installed a massive island, appliances, countertops, electrical, flooring, tile, paint, and recessed lighting. In the bathroom they installed new floors, replaced the vanity, installed a shower where there was a tub, tile, recessed lights and paint. The project was completed in a reasonable timeframe and at a reasonable rate. Tom's team is beyond knowledgeable and talented, I can't recommend them enough!

We had a long list of home improvements planned and Tom and Rich were very helpful in getting so many items done on our wish list. Replaced all windows that had been painted shut and deteriorated over the years, a new Mudroom and back porch (so we could get our kitchen back!), fixed some fences, replaced a driveway, gutted and renovated an outdated and water-damaged bathroom, and various other odds and ends. Appreciated their honesty and keeping all the subs in line. Green House is a good choice for major home renovations.

Tom and his team have done 3 major projects for us over the last 13 years. The most recent was a complete basement renovation in May 2021. We loved his design and the crew did an amazing job with the finishings. Rich, the project manager, is quick to respond to texts, emails and phone calls and has a "can do" attitude about any situation. Great communication about supply chain issues and help with picking out products which were in stock which fit our design aesthetic. Love, love, love Green House Renovations.

Renovation of older home. Walls removed to open dining room/ living room space. Removed W/D from kitchen and added cabinets. Screen porch converted to sunroom. All contractors used were pleasant, timely and proficient. General contractor in charge very easy to work with and kept communication open so I was aware where the project stood. The only setbacks have been product availability of windows/door for the porch conversion. Overall very pleased with project recommendations and finished work.

Green House Renovation did an amazing job. I personally do a lot of work on my house and have a very high standard for what is done. The Green House team not only matched my standard but really exceeded it. The work was absolutely top class and we really appreciated how much flexible they were with us on timing, scheduling, and design. I have had an exceptionally wonderful experience working with Green House Renovation. It has been a dream of mine for several years to add a larger living room and screened in porch to our home, and they made that dream a reality. I interviewed several contractors before beginning the project and knew from my first meeting with Tom that I wanted to work with him. He listened carefully to my ideas, offered helpful feedback/suggestions, and helped form a plan for what would work best with our current space. Once construction began Rich was a delight to work with and was always available for any questions I had. They work really well as a team and are highly communicative from start to finish. The space they built is gorgeous. I feel like we're living in a completely different home, and visitors have been shocked at the transformation. Tom was recommended to us by a friend who spoke very highly of him, his project manager Rich, and the subcontractors. It was very important for us to find a contractor whom we could trust, whose price was fair, and we found that with Green House Renovations. When we first met with Tom, we had several wants and needs for our 1950s ranch home renovation. The house was outdated, the kitchen was small, and the floor plan created closed off spaces. The architect created three plans and we picked the one that was the best first for us. We ultimately moved the basement stairs, opened the kitchen, updated both bathrooms, and moved the laundry room upstairs. We are extremely pleased with the results and are so grateful that we stayed within budget and the total cost of the project, including change orders and necessary modifications for code changes, was still way under a quote we received from another company.

Green House Renovations converted our unfinished detached garage into a yoga/art studio in spring 2020. We’ve done lots of home renovations and this one went more smoothly than any other contractor we’ve ever worked with. Tom reviewed the project a few days after I first called, and I had a written estimate within 2 business days. He worked to give us options to stay within budget, but also gave us tradeoffs for things we wanted. Because of Tom’s history working in Avondale, he negotiated /expedited all the building permits and work started right away. The GC, Rich, stopped by or texted nearly every day. Communications were excellent and any changes to the work/budget were due to our wishes – there were no surprise costs. Issues and unplanned things always arise in any project like this, but Rich was always on top of it, involving us in any changes They also did some small extras they didn’t charge for. Due to COVID, the floor we picked wasn’t able to be delivered, so that took a bit longer than we hoped, but the project still finished within the estimated timeframe. Being home during COVID also made us accessible to weigh in and quickly make decisions that were needed to keep the project moving. Green House Renovations went above and beyond our expectations in every way. We will absolutely use them for our next project.

We hired Green House Renovation to add a screened in porch to our 1940s house. Tom and Rich were professional and honest. Our project manager was on site and available for questions quickly and consistently. The quality of construction was aligned with our expectations and they even finished before the completion date that was given. I would recommend Green House Renovations and we plan on using them again for our next large project.

We have been working with Greenhouse Renovations for an entire year to slowly transform the exterior and several interior spaces in our home. The workmanship has been outstanding and I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. Tom and his team were able to take our vision, guide us with professional knowledge, connect us with an amazing designer and create a show stopping end result.

We hired Green House Renovation after meeting with a handful of other local companies. We actually started the relationship before we bought our home - they were actually involved in the choosing of our home because they understood our needs and helped consult us. It was clear from the beginning that we spoke the same language. They listened very closely and were extremely patient - there was a lot of collaborative problem solving and options given back and forth. Simply a good vibe from the start. The proposal was well organized and thorough - there weren’t any money surprises along the way at all. Our renovation was a large scale one - it literally touched every room in our house. Walls were removed, ceilings taken out, a bathroom was moved, new tubs, showers, vanities, all new fixtures, rooms enlarged (walls pushed back and floors patched in), the kitchen cabinets got a facelift and new counter tops, and new lighting throughout. There were A LOT of moving parts. The subcontractors (plumbers, electricians, drywall guys, HVAC, painters, tile guys, cleaners, and demo team) were obviously hand-picked by Green House Renovations based on reliability and their work. Our project took several months because of the scale and complexity. Sure, there were a couple surprises along the way and there were some changes and decisions that had to be made on the fly - but we always felt like our vision and best interest came first. Thoroughly respectful and conscientious across the board. I will say that my wife and I are probably pickier than most - and we are extremely dialed in to fine details and aesthetics. We are artists/musicians/craftspeople ourselves and because of that I’m sure that we would’ve been unhappy had we gone with anyone else. It was just a good fit from the beginning to the end. They understood where we were coming from and they always met our needs and goals. Would we use them again? Yes. We are actually starting another project with them right now.

Tom Colquitt and his crew are extraordinary. Professional, knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and helpful. Their work redoing my kitchen was of the highest quality, and they both stayed within budget and worked on a very tight schedule successfully. I had a particularly challenging situation because I had a major mold infestation in my kitchen, And they had to work around and with the remediation company. I can't say enough good things about Tom and his people.

Overall, we had a good experience with Green House Renovation—and I would use them again. We had large tree limb fall on a power line attached to our house. The damage it caused created a very unique set of deliervables for our project. This included a new roof, resetting a segment of the roof, removal & reinstalling AC compressor on our flat roof, and being the liaison with the power company to disconnect/ reattach the power line to the repaired structure. In addition to repairs we took the opportunity to upgrade the type of shingles we were using, rebuild a pergola over our deck, and create an improved base for our AC compressor. We also have a 1 year old baby which created some additional scheduling challenges. Our desire was to get the work done quickly but right and Tom worked with us to make sure we were happy with the end results. Tom did a great job of providing quotes for the insurance claim as well as for the added work we were requesting outside of the claim. He expertly coordinated between all of the teams of workers. The team that completed the work were receptive to our feedback and they and Tom addressed all of our concerns when we had them. While the driving factor for the project was not something we were excited about, the end results brought us great joy. Tom and team helped make that possible.

After first replacing our roof, Green House managed a project consisting of a kitchen renovation, master bath renovation, hardwood refinishing in multiple rooms, and repairs to back porch. From the beginning they had great ideas for making the most of the space, reusing existing materials, and adding small touches with big impact. The price was significantly lower than that of other contractors we spoke with and the project came in at budget. Communication was great throughout the project - project manager was never more than a text away and immediately responded to any concern or question we had. We were very pleased with the final result and would highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend Green House Renovation. One of the biggest frustrations for homeowners during a renovation is when the workers don't show up, causing delays. This didn't happen -they showed up every day and put in a full day from the beginning to the end. The craftsmanship was excellent and they were very easy to work with. When mistakes were made, as they inevitably do, GHR fixed them without hesitation. I really appreciate their attitude that the customer comes first.

Green House Renovations was wonderful to work with. I needed new doors and drawers for my 68 year old kitchen. Over the years the cabinets had been painted and repainted. Rich, the on the ground project manager came by and checked on progress ever few days. I didn't have a designer and Rich and Tom made valuable suggestions for me. The cabinet makers are truly artisans and also provided practical ideas to make the kitchen more functional. We changed some cabinets to drawers - fabulous idea and also made some drawers and cabinets that had been two into one. Again great ideas . My kitchen is now bright and fun. I no longer dread going in there. Tom's crew also replaced all the interior doors. The old ones were drab, hollow and very shabby.. The team hand cut the new double panel doors to fit and hand painted them. Looks like they were factory painted. Tom came through and checked each door to make sure they closed and that we didn't have any ghost doors. I made additions to the project and the team was very flexible. Highly recommend Green House Renovation. Recently had roof replaced. Excellent knowledge about options and what needed to be done, well written contract clearly explaining all to be done and overall exceptionally high quality work. Dumpster delivered date and time expected as well as delivery of roofing materials. Crew was polite, worked hard, and left work area clean at end of day. When work was finished they did an exceptional job cleaning the yard, driveway, and removing stray nails. Job completed in a very timely manner and within the projected cost.

My house was partially crushed by a tree during the storm (Irma) on 9/11/17. I had never dealt with anything like this, and having to deal with homeowners insurance and contractors was entirely new. I am grateful that I was able to work through this project with Green House Renovation. Tom and Rich guided me through and made it smooth and manageable and not nearly as daunting as one could anticipate. We were so fortunate to have an insurance company that put us up in a beautiful house while the work was done to repair our house. All in all the experience was amazing and we are so grateful to Greenhouse Renovation for not only putting our house back together again, but making it beautiful.

I am so happy that we found Tom Colquitt and Green House Renovations. We really liked the roof color of our neighbor's house done during their renovations. so we inquired as to the color and we were introduced to Tom. Tom actually asked to bid on our project. I thought that was great because most people don't ask for your business. Green House Renovations was prompt with their proposal and once we accepted they began work as soon as weather permitted. The roofing crew was great and Tom checked in on the project throughout the day. The crew did a great job and cleaned up the nails and got everything in the dumpster. Tom was available via phone or text and answered all our questions and he is very easy to talk to. The new roof really updates the house and I love that we have a GAF Life Time Warranty. We have already met with Tom and his team to implement several other renovation projects.

Green House jumped in like heros in repairing our Victorian-era home in Inman Park after a large tree branch severely damaged the roof. The scope of the job was one that most renovation companies would have (and did!) run from, for it involved fixing small areas of almost every room and surface in the house: ceiling repairs, wall and trim painting, damaged 19th century wooden floors, a new roof, new HVAC, attic repair, and exterior home repair and painting. To complicate the job, we took the opportunity to do a complete bathroom renovation, and reconfigured the entryway to our master walk-in closet. Throughout months of work, they were a delightful team to work with, did excellent work for us, and were always quick to respond and remedy any issues that came up. We would use them again in a heartbeat!

Renovated a kitchen to include new cabinets, counter tops, appliances, tile etc. also, split a full bath upstairs to create a dedicated master bath and second full bath upstairs. New tile, floors, custom vanity and design work. Refinished floors, painted inside and added a cedar front dressing along with replacing garage doors that were not functional and added a back porch roof over the deck and a new wooden privacy fence. The quality of work was excellent and timing was on point. The level of creativity and ability to deliver excellent work was very much appreciated.

Overall, I had a good experience with Green House Renovation—and I would use them again. The project was fairly small—the tearing off of a rear enclosed porch/laundry room and the construction of a sunporch about the same size as the porch that was torn off. The addition was built on a new poured concrete slab, had standard wood framing, and a gable roof that was tied into the existing roof. The exterior walls were finished with cedar shingles. Also included were several tasks on the existing house including painting the exterior wood trim, reroofing the entire house, installing cedar shingles in the front gable-end to match the walls of the new addition, and insulating the attic. I choose Green House Renovation because the owner of the company, Tom Colquitt, seemed to understand what I was trying to achieve with the addition. He and I had talked about the project at length for over a year before I finally bit the bullet and hired him to do the project. The house is nearly 100 years old and in one of Atlanta’s historic intown neighborhoods. I wanted the addition to be distinguishable from the original house but in keeping with its architecture and that of the surrounding homes. This meant the certain elements of the old and new had to match as closely as possible. And while there was a hiccup about this at first, it was quickly corrected. All of the workers were great to work with. They were friendly and generally maintained a clean work site. The lead carpenter was quite talented. There is a shed roof over the rear door and windows that I had not detailed completely. All I had to show him were some photos of similar roofs around the neighborhood. But we talked it through and he came up with a final design that “made” the roof. It is exactly what I had in mind and really makes the whole design. The project was not without its problems, however. The delivery of the windows and door held up progress. This appears to have been a problem with the supplier rather than the contractor. There was also a major problem when they got to reroofing the house. After they ripped off the old roofing they discovered that the decking was severely damaged—carpenter ants had gotten to it. I was out of town but Tom called me immediately, told me the problem and even took a video so I could see what was going on. He gave me several options on how to deal with the situation. More importantly, he told me how much it would cost to make the necessary corrections so I would not be surprised by the change-order. I greatly apricated his concern for letting me know the monetary ramifications of the additional work. I returned to Atlanta the next day, a Saturday, expecting to find a partially reroofed house. To my great delight, however, I found the roofers there putting on the new roof—I had had visions of an unprotected house over the weekend. No construction project is without problems and those that arose during the construction of my addition were efficiently and effectively addressed. The final result is quite satisfying. And as I said upfront, I would use them again.

I was amazed with the job that the Green House Renovation did after Hurricane Irma damaged our roof. It was a two-day job. But, they did not simply tear off the roof on the first day and put it back on the second. No, they knew that it might rain over night, which it did. So, they broke the work into two jobs. They took off half of the roof and replaced it on Thursday. It rained over night. But, everything was sealed up completely. Then, on Friday, they replaced the other half of the roof. They thought it through and did a great job very quickly.

Tom and his crew repeatedly do an excellent job. He did a whole house renovation for us in 2009 and has done 2 smaller projects since. The project in September was taking out a tub and putting in a shower. The tile work is gorgeous. Will post a picture once the shower doors are installed.

Tom Colquitt and company did the build-out for our offices at 62 Lenox Pointe in 2010. We continue to get compliments on the beauty of the space and the efficient design. He is creative guy who did the almost impossible. Our Atlanta Center for Cognitive Therapy has thrived in part due to a well made space that people find comfortable and aesthetically pleasing.

Green House did an excellent job renovating my 1,050 square foot house. The project manager proposed an interior redesign to efficiently increase storage space, recommended paint colors, tiles, counter tops, and fixtures that resulted in a clean, modern, and comfortable look. The exterior renovation was also well done with the installation of new windows, siding, and a roof. I get lots of compliments on my house and highly recommend Green House.

My project was a complete kitchen renovation with the addition of a master bath and laundry/mud room. I reviewed a few contractors and chose Green House Renovation because of their ability to communicate what to expect both construction and cost wise. The site supervisor met with me on a regular basis to insurer that I was happy with the results as well as the work being completed on time. Tom Colquitt and his staff were professional, responsive and always open to my concerns and questions. I was so impressed with their work I am currently considering them for another project!

We get lots of compliments on the renovation. Both Tom Colquitt and Rich Hart were very professional, as were their subs. Quality superb. Tom and Rich are very knowledgeable. We came pretty close to budget. It took a little more time than anticipated, but not a problem. They were quick to resolve any 'issues' we had. We have recommended them to others in the neighborhood.

From our first conversation, I was extremely impressed with Tom and his team. We had a pretty comprehensive project: complete re-design of kitchen, transformation of upstairs bedroom & bathroom to create a laundry room and jack and jill bath, refinished hardwoods, new windows throughout house, new trim, painting, etc. which made me nervous about communication and schedule based on other reno projects I have heard about. Rich, Tom and team exceeded my expectations regarding communication and we stayed very close to schedule. The team went above and beyond numerous times to ensure the project was done right and every detail was perfect. I will hire them again for our next project!

The project crew from Green House were very professional, courteous and friendly. They finished the project much quicker than we had expected and we couldn't be more pleased with the end results. I would definitely recommend them.

Green House beautifully transformed our galley kitchen by opening the wall into the family room. The relocation of the appliances and installation of new cabinets, granite, tile, flooring, and windows are stunning. Both the kitchen and family room are delightfully lighter and brighter. Rich Hart and everyone at Green House are knowledgeable, talented, and professional and delivered a product above and beyond our expectations on time and on budget.

Working with Tom and Green House Renovations was a great experience. Communication was solid throughout and we were kept abreast of status and plans the entire project. Tom and everyone that did work was professional and respectful. Being without a kitchen is quite challenging, but Tom made it as painless as it could be. Primarily by ensuring the subs were lined up back to back to back so the project really moved along at a good pace without causing us to lose our minds. We stayed on budget for the most part and anything that would be extra was clearly communicated and discussed. Green House Renovations is highly recommended.

I am remiss in writing this review more than 2 months after the team at GHR completed the excellent work that they did for us. Ours was likely a small job as compared to others that they handle, but Tom Colquitt's company is a "niche" company that specializes in smaller renovation projects that nonetheless require expertise, planning , co-ordination and skilled construction professionals. Our traditional Georgian house, built in the early 1980's (we're the 4th owners and have owned for 6 years) needed to have all the windows replaced with energy efficient ones. Additionally, it looked tired, worn and drab and we wanted help in giving it a cleaner, brighter, fresher, and updated entrance that worked with the style of the home. Finally, there were some smaller repairs that the house needed (which were beyond our skill set) and, after meeting with me, Tom included those in the list of things for his team to address. Tom drew up a contract that was within our budget that included EVERYTHING and the ball was rolling! I met with the architect, Brad who designed the new front entrance, asked for our suggestions and patiently tweaked the drawings to meet our approval until they were what we wanted.. Our project manager, Richard, was efficient, dependable, easy going, knowledgeable and professional and was always on hand (in person, through emails/texts or calls) when we had questions or needed advice. The actual builders (usually Steve and Brian), blew our minds with the way they tore down one porch and created something out of nothing --by hand!!--to build us the new one that Brad had designed. They set up shop each morning in our small yard and took it down every day at quitting time. The work site was always clean and neat. And, they were on the job everyday!--no waiting around wondering if the "guys were going to show up."*** (Have you ever had that experience ?) So well organized and well coordinated are they (I suspect in large part due to having project managers like Richard overseeing individual projects) that unless something unforeseen happens your project will be completed with breathtaking alacrity! These folks don't mess around, but neither do they cut corners.

Green House stepped up to the plate and met the demanding requirements of a renovation job for a TV show our house was featured on. It rained continuously during the short period of time that was allotted to Green House to complete the renovation job. Even though there were extreme time restraints, Green House finished the job and provided a professional finished product. We chose Green House to build a two-story addition to the back of our 1938 home in Decatur. My wife conceived the project and worked with an architect on its design. We now have a raised screen porch extending the full width of our house, with an enclosed sleeping porch connecting with our master bedroom on the second floor. Tom Colquitt and his team at Green House did a superb job, completing their work in under 3 months with minimal disruption to our lives. Communication, flexibility and craftsmanship were outstanding. Green House Renovation did our complete kitchen renovation, and we are pleased with the results! The work progressed apace and the communications were excellent. The workers were respectful, quiet, patient and honored the fact that we were living in the house during the reno. We were particularly grateful for design help from the cabinet person, who had wonderful ideas.

The job entailed the complete renovation and remodel of my master bath's shower area. Greenhouse guided me through the design stage, and explained what was to happen during the installation. The contractors they employed for the installation were exceedingly professional, neat, and polite. A glitch developed, and Greenhouse handled it within a reasonable time. In addition, they completed the task for about half the cost I had been quoted by another company. I will be using them again for my other renovation projects, and I recommend them highly.

My project was to provide extra space to our lower den and laundry area. The work would require removing a few walls; (1) being a load bearing wall, flooring and new shelving for the laundry room. They took an old, rundown warehouse space and converted it into a beautiful space for our boutique and art center. Tom came recommended to us by Renewal. After meeting with Tom and getting other estimates, we decided he was the one for the job. We were adding a screen porch and deck to our 1925 house and we felt Tom understood our vision. He dispelled any concerns we had due to our sloping yard and drainage problems.His crew graded and added drainage, removed a stone wall and built the porch into the slope in such a way that works very satisfactorily. I really had no idea what an improvement it would be.Tom was available by text or email or phone through out the whenever we had questions. He kept us up to date with the City of Atlanta permitting process and the inspection process.When the permits were recieved the work began almost immediately.The craftsmanship of his workers is of the highest quality and his crew were very diligent and showed good work ethic. Once the work got under way they were here every day.I can't say enough about how pleased we were to work with Tom on this project. We would recommend him to anyone looking to renovate.
