We recently hired Grindstone as the general contractor for a full gut and remodel of three bathrooms in our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and the final results. From the beginning, Grindstone was incredibly reasonable with pricing and very accommodating when we wanted to make changes along the way. We never felt locked into a rigid plan—they allowed us to fully customize virtually every aspect of each bathroom. Even with changes and adjustments throughout the project, they worked hard to keep the impact on our budget to a minimum. Communication was another major highlight. Tom was fantastic to work with and was consistently responsive, usually getting back to us within just a few hours. Having a general contractor who communicates clearly and promptly made a huge difference, especially during a project involving three complete renovations. We also really appreciated their attention to quality and current building standards. Since our original bathrooms were from the 1990s, Grindstone made sure the new work was brought up to modern code, including important upgrades such as individual shut-offs and other plumbing and electrical improvements. Every member of their team and every trade they brought in—plumbing, tiling, cabinetry, and electrical—was professional, skilled, respectful, and reliably on time. It was clear that Grindstone works with excellent associates who take pride in their work. Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Grindstone Renovations. They combined fair pricing, flexibility, excellent communication, high-quality workmanship, and great project management from start to finish. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy general contractor for bathroom renovations or other work around the house. In fact, we were so happy with the experience that we’re already planning to have them back next year for additional projects!

my husband and i bought an older townhome that was in need of some serious work - it was outdated and in really bad shape from previous neglect. kind of a huge risk but we couldn't be happier with the result! tom and his crew worked quickly and on budget and pretty much gave us an entirely new and updated townhome. tom is super responsive and is able to adapt to my last minute requests or decision changes with no problem. while every room is amazing, i am seriously in love with my kitchen with its beautiful cabinets (including under cabinet lighting!), glass backsplash, and all new appliances. i wouldn't hesitate to use grindstone renovation again or recommend them to anyone needing help with their home project, big or small.

Simply the Best Emailed on a Sunday afternoon and Tom emailed me back in 15 minutes. Totally impressed just at that. Our Master Bedroom shower leaked onto our dining room table below. Tom was at our place Tuesday morning, had a quote next t, they started the next Wednesday. Three bathrooms have now morphed into whole house renovation. All Tom’s guy’s and sub contractors are amazing. Couldn’t recommend them more. Simply the Best!!!

GRINDSTONE RENOVATION turned our house into our home! After researching and receiving several quotes for a full interior/exterior renovation on our 10 bedroom duplex we decided to go with Grindstone. Initially we were drawn in by Tom's and Stavros' open communication approach and confidence. The company came in and gutted the interior and renovated everything from floors to ceilings. With their innovative ideas, they redesigned our home. The scope of work was detailed and included new layout of our kitchens, new bathrooms, updated plumbing and electrical throughout, framing of new walls, drywall, flooring, pot lighting, new windows, door and window trims, paint, exterior landscaping and the list goes on. Their trades were very approachable, timely and respectful. Their quality work added value and warmth to our home. They went above and beyond our expectations and we are grateful for all their hard work and dedication. We would highly recommend Grindstone Renovation to anyone!

We initially contacted Grindstone for a quote on drywall alone but after speaking with Tom he gave us a quote for our entire project which was affordable compared to other contractors and he was able to start right away. Two months later our kitchen, living room, dining room, front entry, hallway, and stairs were renovated thanks to the Grindstone team! Job well done!

We called Grindstone renovation for a quote on our Reno we are doing. We needed drywall and tape and fill for all the ceilings and some new and partial walls. Tom came out right away gave us a quote and was able to complete the job in 7 days for us even working on the weekend knowing we were time sensitive. I worked with Tom and his crew on a smaller renovation. This house had a lot of poor quality DIY work by people who weren’t so competent. Tom’s guys came in and very quickly transformed the depressing space into something very pleasant, clean and professionally constructed. Crisp corners, smooth walls, perfect bulkheads, respect for the existing features, and a complete solution.
