Hamilton Custom Homes

This was our first time building a custom home and we were new to the area. We had started the process with another builder who helped with our drawings. We stumbled upon a house that Matt and Katie had built as a speculative home that had a style that really resonated with us. We called Matt and he quickly prepared a budget for us and after a couple of meetings we decided to move forward with using them to build our home. We were on a time crunch as we were relocating and in temporary housing. Matt and Katie were understanding of this and kept the project moving nicely. Matt was great at asking questions and making suggestions and Katie was quite helpful with the daunting design process. We started in October and moved in on June 1st. Our home came out beautiful, it was on time and on budget.

Hamilton Custom Homes is an amazing custom home builder. I have worked with them for several years and they are such a joy to work with. They are very attentive to their clients and really listen to their wants and needs. They always meet their deadlines and are great about going over the budget on a continuous basis during the building process.

Katie Hamilton communicated very well between customers and us, the hardware provider. Where many homebuilders lack an adequate amount of communication, she was always easy to contact and could get the information we needed. She always had a smile on her face and was ready to help at a moment's notice. We did not see Matt Hamilton as much but when we did, he was a joy to work with. As far as Hamilton Homes goes working with their suppliers, I'd have to say they are one of the best!

My husband and I critically reviewed several custom home builders before contracting with Hamilton Custom Homes. Matt Hamilton and his wife Katie are a customer's dream. They LISTENED to our needs, provided experienced GUIDANCE, and worked within our BUDGET. Other Hamilton customers told us their project came in ON BUDGET, and ON TIME! As our home is being built, Matt comes to our build site EVERY DAY, and personally answers every call we make to him. His subcontractors have been equally professional. I know that because of our experience, my parents will hire them as well.

I have enjoyed working with Matt and Katie Hamilton. Matt has spent time working with me on my budget, must have items and helped match the architects plans to my needs. I am still in the process of building but Matt and his team have met my expectations. I highly recommend this firm.

We met Matt Hamilton while touring many homes during Bryan/College Station Parade of Homes. We immediately fell in love with his contemporary style, very clean lines and simple, yet elegant. We had just finished building our office and had a terrible experience with our builder that we were very hesitant taking on another construction project. But Matt Hamilton went above and beyond and exceeded all our expectations for our dream home. Matt Hamilton was always in great communication, professional and worked very well with our interior decorator Barbara Holley. Our home was featured in the Bryan-College Station Eagle Home In Style magazine Fall 2013. I would highly recommend Matt Hamilton and if we ever have another construction project, he would be the builder of our choice again.

Matt and Katie Hamilton with Hamilton Homes provided excellent service, developed innovative yet classic design, communicated well, and handled inevitable surprises that accompany home building with knowledge and confidence. I trusted and had faith in them throughout the process because of these qualities that I think are critical in a home builder but hard to find. For example, we went over budget at the beginning of the project due to heavy rain just before the slab was poured. Matt continually shaved off expenses throughout the project to regain some of that loss as opposed to considering it a sunk cost and dismissing it. Katie's eye for detail added a polished finish that I would have missed on my own, and Matt's sense of humor helped me relax and enjoy the project all the more. Last but certainly not least, the home inspector, reputed to be the most critical in our area, was impressed with the quality of Matt's work, commenting that most homes aren't built that well anymore. Matt's professional knowledge and high standards regarding subcontractors was certainly validated in that inspection. I would recommend Hamilton Homes with confidence and enthusiasm to people building new homes in the Bryan/College Station area. I have moved into an older home since living in the home they built for my family and would use them for remodeling if they would do it. Unfortunately for me, the home building business has kept them too busy to expand into remodeling.

We chose to work with Hamilton Custom Homes for the construction of our new home in College Station, Texas earlier this year after interviewing a number of builders in the area. Since the bidding stage of our project we noted their high level of commitment to their customers, their innate eye for designing houses in good taste and quality and their willingness to work with the sub-contractors of our choice. Both owners of the firm, Matt and Katie, are very hands-on, which gives us great confidence that all tasks involved in the construction process are being completed well and in a timely basis. In addition, whenever us homeowners need to make selections of finishes or materials, etc... we usually get a 1-2 weeks heads up from them so we can do our homework, ask questions and make the right choices. However, for those of us that are indecisive as to what we want, Katie and Matt will always be there to give you their expert advise. They will also be honest with you if they think you are making a mistake in any of your selections. We've found that they are both very approachable and communicating with them and their sub-contractors is a seamless task. They work with great sub-contractors in the area and nation-wide and turn-around times to obtain blue-prints of cabinetry work, paint samples, hardwood floor samples, etc... are usually very short. As mentioned earlier, they both have an eye for design, and that is something we truly appreciate because we know they'll give our house the "wow factor" that we want. In addition, we've found that it is of great benefit to have a woman and mom, Katie, be part of the team since she brings a unique perspective and design ideas that serve the purpose of designing a more family-friendly house. We're looking forward to the next steps in the construction process and completion of our house!!!
