Jim and his team helped me transform my main floor from 1982 to 2025. I highly recommend Hawk Construction. The process from start to finish enabled the project to run on time and on budget. There were no surprises. I loved there were no hidden costs, the estimates were on target and detailed. I really appreciated all of the communication with Doug our PM. The team was really great to work with, respectful, treated my house like their own. I am so thankful I called Hawk Construction. I can’t wait to get started on the bathrooms!

I had Hawk Construction and Kitchen's Inspired do a whole house renovation on my two story, four bedroom, three bath home and am very pleased with the results. Kitchen's Inspired provided the detailed design drawings, as well as ordering custom fixtures and countertops, cabinets, color choices, etc., from which the construction was based. Hawk performed the actual physical construction, including drywall, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, electrical, painting, flooring, and installation. Between the two, they worked seamlessly together in such a way that everything got done beautifully, within cost and schedule constraints. Each party was always available for consultation with each other and myself. They completed a remodel of my kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom and updates on the remainder of the house. Highlights included moving the laundry upstairs and adding a mud room and an additional bathroom on the ground floor. I really appreciated the creativity of the Kitchen’s Inspired team headed by Karen, the Lead Designer, and the tremendous effort of the Hawk team, headed by Jim, the Hawk Company President, and Doug, the Project Manager. Many sub-contractors were needed to complete the work. I was very appreciative of the courtesy and professional attitudes of both the contractors and subs. Each seemed genuinely concerned that everything was done to my (and their) satisfaction, and our relationship was one I would describe as friendly, enjoyable, and professional. Hawk Construction did a fantastic remodel on our master bath and kitchen. Every step from the demolition to the finished product was professional and done to perfection. Their work is exceptional. We appreciated their great communication and responsiveness to our questions. They finished the remodel in the amount of time promised as well. Andrew, the lead carpenter/substitute PM, is excellent and handled everything when we were out of town and kept us informed. He is also an expert at his craft. His assistant, Eric, was great and would handle things when Andrew was not available. He is a jack of all trades. We are grateful to everyone at Hawk who made this a great experience.

Hawk Construction has created the most amazing kitchen for me and my family. It is exactly what I wanted and they made the process of designing and having it built so much fun. Hawk Construction brought excellent designers and contractors to the table. Everyone was a joy to work with, always left my house cleaned up and as usable as possible during the build process. They were quick to take down the old and rebuild the new. I already have remodel rounds 2 and 3 planning in my head and I will definitely continue to work with Hawk to make my dream home a reality.

Hawk recently completed the third (three different residences) and most extensive remodel we have completed. The first project was a total kitchen remodel in 2015. Five contractors were interviewed. Jim Poggemeyer and Michelle Eliason (KOB designer) from Hawk came, were so prepared and interested that choosing Hawk was easy. The whole process was seamless, on time, on budget and beautiful. We hired Hawk again in 2019 for a living room fireplace wall and updated banisters. Once again the project was on time and on budget. The last project (2020) was a complete main floor remodel: kitchen, flooring, stairs and railings, front door, half bath and fireplace surround/mantle. Once again the project was completed in an outstanding manner. To a person, the staff and subs are professional, detail oriented, clean, on time and friendly. Communication is excellent and they are simply a fun company to work with. I highly recommend Hawk Construction!

Our overall experience with Hawk construction was great. All of the service providers were polite, kind, professional, timely and great craftsman. We love everything about our new kitchen and would highly recommend Hawk to anyone.

Working with Hawk Construction has been more than a pleasure. We decided to remodel our 1970’s kitchen and began the process of interviewing contractors. We had one disappointing meeting and a few failures to return calls with other contractors before meeting Michelle Eliason at Kitchens On Broadway which is the design segment for Hawk. She was warm and reassuring about the design process and subsequent construction. Her explanations of what would take place and when it would happen were thorough and accurate. We met again in our home along with the Hawk Construction manager Jim Poggemeyer and Michelle. We had the opportunity to describe what we disliked about our current kitchen and what we hoped to achieve in a new design. Jim was very attentive and very clear about the Hawk process. He assured us that everyone working in our home would be completely vetted and reliable. He stated that their trade partners were companies that Hawk had long standing relationships with and more importantly he guaranteed their work. This turned out to be more than true. Our experience was exceptional in every sense of the word. Jim set up a construction team that was reliable and kind. They worked diligently and carefully throughout our project. The various trade people who worked in our home were absolute craftsmen and several times different trade people commented on how much they value their subcontractor relationship with Hawk. The Hawk employees Brock, Andrew, Chris, and Roy were conscientious and easy to have in our home. They explained their work and listened to our ideas and concerns with patience and a real understanding of our needs. Their work far exceeded what we could have hoped for. The Kitchens On Broadway showroom made it easy to choose from a variety of design elements. The quality of products from cabinets-to sinks- to faucets-to tile-to countertops ensured that we could get a high end look for our kitchen. Obviously, we could continue on about all the positive aspects of working with Hawk Construction. Their steady guidance throughout this project was far above our expectations! And now we have a freakin’ beautiful kitchen!! We couldn’t be more happy!

Hawk just finished a major remodel of our kitchen. Hawk Construction was top notch in quality and service. Hawk came in about 1.5 weeks early even though they had to overcome the usual challenges in remodeling an older home. As a professional engineer with over 40 years in construction, I, and my wife, was very pleased with the process and the outcome. The Hawk employees and subs were great to work with. We are planning to have Hawk back in a few months to remodel our master bath.

We had a great experience with Hawk Construction. They were a pleasure to work with and worked diligently to complete our floor to ceiling remodel on time (they worked weekends when they got behind schedule). Their employees and subcontractors were all great. Linda Brooks with Kitchens on Broadway was our designer and she did an amazing job planning our kitchen. We have more space and storage that we could have imagined and the kitchen works beautifully for our family of 4. We will use them again!

After considerable and intensive vetting of three construction companies we chose Hawk to do extensive remodeling of our 1959 Virginia Village house, including structural changes to the outside patio roof. They combined two small bedrooms into one large master, enlarged the master bath, gutted and remodeled our family room (a 1970s nightmare) into the warm heart of our home. They also installed art lighting in our livingroom, refinished the hardwood floors and it is simply simply wonderful. The costs were reasonable, the workmanship was outstanding, they came when they said they would, explained everything that was being done, they cleaned up every day and I cannot praise and recommend them more highly--this is a six star, six diamond company. Theo, Fred, Valdek, Mike, Michelle and Andrea are the best in the business.
