This review is long overdue, but we have used Hazley builders for multiple projects, the largest of which was our addition and kitchen remodel. It seems unheard of these days that a contractor finishes a job on time and on budget, but they did, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Not only are they professional and knowledgeable, they are just all around nice people that care about their customers and their community. Whatever projects we dream up for the future, we know who to call.

My house was built pre-Civil War in 1849 in downtown West Chester. My guess is that the front porch was added somewhere around 1930. Over the years the sun and rain have done damage to the flooring and steps. So periodically there is a need for repair. This time the repairs were centered on the floor that was rotting underneath the three porch posts that support the roof at the steps. As the posts sank they were pulling away from the roof. So this was not a simple job. Scott of Hazely Builders was able to support the roof so that the porch posts could be repaired, the joists and floor underneath replaced, and a section of flooring was replaced. During this time the steps had to be moved to a temporary area of the porch so that new steps could be built. Take a look at 201 West Miner Street if this sounds like the work you are preparing to do. A cheap price is not always a good deal in the long run. Hazley is a top-notch company that will work with you to get your job done right. They bent over backwards to make sure that the work here was done right, my tenants could get in and out of the building at all times, and they did it with a smile. Give Chris Hazely a call. They found a much less expensive solution to our problem. Excellent work by polite workers. Clean. On schedule. We are very happy with the results.

There isn't enough space here to tell you how happy we are with the professionalism, attention to detail, willingness to stand by their work and easy-to-work with qualities of Hazley Builders. This is a father and sons business and Mike Hazley Sr. believes keeping customers happy, even after they have completed the job, sets them apart from other contractors. He is right about that. They constructed a new addition for us that is handicap accessible (new sitting room, bathroom, dressing room and closet) and it is beautiful. They went the extra mile with so many things, like reinforced beams, extra insulation, etc. When we had a problem with the new toilet about 6 months after the renovation was completed, Mike's crew was here to solve the problem, which was a manufacturer's flaw. His workers were careful about heeling in bushes and other plants that I wanted to preserve which they had to dig up to pour a new foundation for the addition. They replanted them once construction was done and everything lived and is thriving. I could go on and on. My best recommendation is the number of times I have recommended Hazley Builders to friends, relatives and acquaintances.
