Derik is great to work with, he keeps you in the loop and is honest up front about costs. He is perhaps too optimistic on time as our project took longer than expected but overall we were very pleased with the end result. We paid good money and got good value. Derik also has the ability to help design interiors and provide input on furniture etc. He does listen to the customer but when he disagrees he can and will say so and why and we found most of the time he was right. We would hire him again.

Initially, we met, Derik Hendrix, with Hendrix Custom Homes in 2012 through my wifes co-worker who had used Hendrix Custom Homes to design and build their lake house. My wife and I were wanting to renovate and sale our home which would allow us to buy a larger family home. Even though our current home was nice and in a highly desired Dallas area it still had the original 1950's kitchen and 3 bathrooms. We wanted Derik to renovate our home in order to provide us with a top dollar market price which we needed to sell. The kitchen and 3 bath renovation design Derik came up with fit the 1950's ranch style home amazingly. We couldn't have been happier; honestly, it was so nice we even debated on selling. We did sale and received asking price! Our experience with Derik was so professional we asked if he would accompany us on touring potential homes. He was kind enough to assist us, and we found a great home here in the Bluffview Area of Dallas. It needed updating throughout the home, and once again Derik designed and constructed an impressive full home renovation which we are completely thankful and extremely happy.
