Higgins Building Group continues to exceed our expectations six years after our home was completed. I truly value the relationship we have developed. On a number of occasions we have called with certain maintenance questions and receive immediate response and support. Most builders are “In the wind” after the project is complete. Ben, Kevin, Brandon and the rest of the team were amazing to work with. From start to finish they were helpful, professional, reliable and fun to work with. They built our house under budget during Covid which I still can't believe they pulled off and it's gorgeous. They were super flexible in terms of working with us on what we wanted but also helped us a lot with decisions where they knew a lot more than we did and were able to guide us to good choices. We love our house and love everyone on their team. Can't say enough good things about working with them.

We could not be more satisfied with the experience or the finished product. Higgins Building Group has a great team to take you from the start of the build to completion. They explained things clearly. They helped us with the many choices faced when building a custom home, including making interior selections that helped us achieve the look and feel we wanted. We were especially impressed by how their planning allowed the building process to keep moving during the material shortages and labor shortages of Covid. Ben, Kevin, Eric, and Jennifer were responsive, professional, and fun to work with throughout the process!

We are very happy with our home at Lake James built by Higgins. See attached photo. It was built during the COVID pandemic so supply shortages and crew delays were inevitable. Therefore it took longer to build than we had hoped but, in the end, it was all worth it. The quality of the materials used was top notch and all of Higgins' work crews were very professional, highly skilled and experienced. It was a pleasant experience in the beginning of the process to work with Ben Higgins and Kevin Fuller to select floor plans, make decisions and get pricing. Jennifer Gentry, our design consultant, did a wonderful job of helping us select design options, paint / stain colors and complementary materials to construct the house. All Higgins' vendors, with whom we worked directly, were cooperative, dependable and easy to work with. Eric Pryor, our frequent Higgins contact and construction supervisor, was fantastic, always available and had tons of great suggestions, many of which we implemented. No detail was overlooked. We would highly recommend Higgins to anyone who wants to build a high quality home in this area.

We highly recommend Higgins Building Group. The staff are all true professionals. We lived in the Chicago area, 750 miles away when our home was built and everything still went smoothly. Great communication! We have been in our new home for 20 months and Higgins staff still responds quickly if we have any problems.

We built our first totally custom home and did it while living out of state. This was also during the height of the pandemic with every conceivable supply chain issue. Ben, Kevin and Eric were extremely professional and built to the highest standards. With any new house there have been minor issues but they have committed to correcting them. Based upon reports of friends who have used other builders I feel blessed to have chosen Higgins Building Group.

We found the Higgins Building Group to be extremely professional from the beginning to end of the process. We had never built a home before and we found Ben Higgins and Kevin Fuller to be extremely patient with us during the "visioning" process and later as the project took shape. We built our home during the middle of the height of the COVID pandemic so supply of key materials was challenging throughout but through regular communication, we were able to minimize too many delays in our construction timeline and escalations in cost. The Superintendent on our project, Brandon Baker, was extremely communicative throughout, and has continued to be available & reliable as we wrap up minor punch list items. We're extremely happy with our new dream home and highly recommend Higgins!

Higgins Building Group has built us an extremely high quality custom home. There were NO extra fees after quote was given and contract signed. We appreciate the attention to detail in every part of our home from the foundation, insulation, door frames, cabinets, beautiful staircases and so much more. They were in frequent contact to make sure that we were satisfied with the work and to make any changes. We had input at every step. The work area around the house was always kept neat and picked up. They advised us as we asked their opinions and are very pleased with all our decisions. They were also readily available to us after we moved in for minor adjustments. We feel that the Higgins Building Group met and exceeded our expectation throughout the planning ,building and completion of our home. Rates a perfect 10 of 10.

My husband reached out to Ben, from the Higgins Building Group, Inc., when we began our search for a builder. We wanted a home building from scratch and needed someone who could not only handle the work, but would listen to what we wanted and help us to make difficult decisions. Ben was able to both meet and exceed our expectations, he was a very honest and welcoming person, who was detailed orientated, organized, efficient and he was extremely patient with us. Before he began building our home, Ben took the time to sit with us and get a good idea what we wanted, he listened to and managed our expectations and at all stages, he made sure we were happy with the decisions that were made. He helped us to make modifications to the actual plan of the home on the inside, to suit our needs. He maintained exceptional communication with us at all times and promptly responded to messages and calls, to ensure we were happy with the progress of the build. He was also very helpful and supportive, for instance, I struggled to find a hardwood floor that would match the transitional style and color of the furniture, after searching many online stores I began to feel disheartened. Ben took the time to find the perfect hardwood floor for our home, relieving me of the pressure and stress. He has excellent tastes and his interior design work, while not an actual interior designer, is as flawless as his building. He also continues to provide us after-care, checking to see if there are any repairs that need to be made to the home. Additionally, Jennifer was also incredibly helpful, she helped us to select the paint color, carpet, and the tiles for bathrooms. We knew what we wanted our home to look like, but we didn’t know how to make this a reality. Fortunately, Ben and the team at Higgins Building Group, Inc. did that for us. We LOVE our new home and we couldn’t be more grateful.
