HIVEX Basement Finishing Co.

We used Hivex to finish our basement from March 2020 to June 2020. We had a bathroom installed and a wetbar. Pros: Good promotional materials, I appreciated having a professional folder with quotes and options. They were very transparent as far as costs. I am happy with the craftsmanship, it's good. Pricing was very reasonable. Cons: The salesperson mentioned they weren't the best at communication but they were really bad at it. I had deliveries made to my home with no heads up and as a person who works from home, I found it pretty disrespectful to not let me know or coordinate with me so I wouldn't get disturbed in the middle of conference calls. Also, their workers didn't communicate with the office and vice versa (I had countertops installed and the Hivex worker was there when it happened but I received an email later asking when I was getting the countertops installed). Also on communication, the salesman would say one thing to me then pretend nothing was said via email. Also, the workers weren't very careful with the materials we provided (I bought an outdoor light with a remote and when I inquired about the now missing remote, never received follow up; the toilet we provided initially was fine when we provided it but damaged after install and we found it leaking days after install). Our driveway is also stained in spots with primer which is another conversation that was had in person but nothing was done as far as the cleanup. Finally, my boyfriend and I were constantly having to go down to the basement to turn off lights. Overall, like I mentioned, good craftsmanship and pricing. However, I felt the salesman was trying hard to keep my boyfriend happy but disregarded me. I am the homeowner and the one paying for the work. Overall, I would recommend them to my male friends but would caution my female friends. They could definitely improve on communication. I am impressed how quickly they got the work done especially during the Pandemic.

Hivex did our basement. We been looking for the right people to do our basement. We got 4 estimate some was ok and some was not.So when we contact Hivex we talked to man name Chris .he came to our home and meet with us, after he went over everything ,the we decide to go with hivex .I will say that they did a excellent job, I recommend everyone that want there basement done contact hivex basement .. I have the highest regards for the excellent work performed by HIVEX. The workmen were professional, respected my property and were always punctual. I was completely satisfied when they finished and my new basement is beautiful. On my basement, all tradesmen were HIVEX employees. No subs.

HIVEX was a pleasure to work with. They were professional, overly communicative, and the results were amazing and completed quickly. This was a 1,200 sq ft finishing of a concrete basement. I had 7 companies give estimates and HIVEX provided the design I wanted, with the best price. I am hesitant to have any contractors on my property to do any work, but I 100% recommend HIVEX. Little touches like crews cleaning up at the end of every day, emails describing and prepping for each job phase, and on-the-spot changes set them apart. I even asked if they were willing to contract a renovation job in my master bathroom but they declined stating they only do basements. I respect that in a company, and it shows from the outstanding outcome I received.

Great ,organized,proffesional team. On time all time even when the weather is bad. Recommend them for anyone who is looking to get the work for the money you pay. By the time they finish you will feel they are family to you as they took care of your property as if it was thiers .i kept thier brochure in my drawer for years untill i decided to finish my basement and it was more beautiful than what I expected

We finally figured out that we were going to remodel and finish our unfinished basement. Found the Hivex company, and I have to say they handled everything in an exceptional manner. In design they had a couple of ideas that really added to my original sketch - no increase in the estimate by the way!!! so they weren't just trying to expand the scope. All the work was performed, coordinated and completed on schedule. They even carried out all the basement "stuff" that we'd accumulated at the start of the job!!! so no need to hire an extra crew. The finish is excellent. Now the grandkids can enjoy the basement without tearing it up (hope hope hope!!!)!!!. Special thanks to Bob Salo the PM, but they all did great.

Hivex recently finished our basement for us. They exceeded our expectations. We are beyond pleased with how the basement turned out. Everyone that came out to the house was so polite, professional, and helpful. They walked us through the entire process. They were always willing to answer any questions we had. Would highly recommend Hivex to anyone looking to finish their basement!!!

Hivex did an outstanding job from start to finish. Professional and prompt. Project manager (Chris) always responsive and attentive to the project. Finished job earlier than expected on the agreed upon price. Would definitely recommend Hivex without reservation.
